As preservative easily migrates into oil phase, it reduces preservative efficacy. A common solution is to increase preservative amount in the whole system. However this way always brings safety issues as preservative is a major allergen. Another effective but safety way is to prohibit preservative migrating into oil phase. In cosmetic research area, phenoxyethanol (PE) and p-Hydroxyacetophenone (p-HAP) pair gradually emerges to be a popular preservative candidate. Thus this new preservative system has been focused as the research object in this work. The relative contents (C) of both PE (CPE) and p-HAP (Cp-HAP) in water phase has been carefully determined. Eight commonly used oils have been further employed to check CPE and Cp-HAP in different oil-water system. The other infuence parameters such as polyols, processing parameters are also investigated. Results shows squalane, petrolatum, silicone oil and hydrogenated polyisobutene might be good oil phase candidates for formulation when using PE and p-HAP preservative system. In these oil systems, PE and p-HAP are mainly located in water phase. Besides, increasing percentage of 1, 3-butylene glycol, shortening homogenization time or adding preservatives at the end of processing under lower temperature could effectively increase effective content preservatives in water phase, either.展开更多

The right(left)hand motor imagery is used to turn a link clockwise(counterclockwise) and foot imagery is used to move a link forward. The occurrence of ErrP here indicates that the link under motion crosses the visually fixed target position, which usually is a plane/line/point depending on the desired transition of the link across 3D planes/around 2D lines/along 2D lines respectively. The imagined task about individual link's movement is decoded by a classifier into three possible class labels: clockwise, counterclockwise and no movement in case of rotational movements and forward, backward and no movement in case of translational movements. One additional classifier is required to detect the occurrence of the ErrP signal, elicited due to visually inspired positional link error with reference to a geometrically selected target position. Wavelet coefficients and adaptive autoregressive parameters are extracted as features for motor imagery and ErrP signals respectively. Support vector machine classifiers are used to decode motor imagination and ErrP with high classification accuracy above 80%. The average time taken by the proposed scheme to decode and execute control intentions for the complete movement of three links of a robot is approximately33 seconds. The steady-state error and peak overshoot of the proposed controller are experimentally obtained as 1.1% and4.6% respectively.展开更多

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a postpartum exercise program on health-related quality of life and psychological well-being. Methods: We conducted a randomized controlled trial in Tokyo, Japan. The intervention groups participated in ball-exercise classes (weekly exercise of 90 minutes for four weeks) at three months postpartum. The exercise class included the following: 1) greeting and warm-up;2) aerobic exercise involving bouncing on an exercise ball 55 or 65 cm in diameter;3) rest and self-introduction;4) stretching and cooling down. The primary outcome measure was health-related Quality of Life (QOL) assessed using the MOS Short-Form 36-Item Health Survey (SF-36v2). The secondary outcome measures were Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) scores. The intervention group was compared to the control group at four months postpartum. Results: Of the 120 women screened, 110 women met the study criteria. Nine could not be included and the remaining 101 were allocated randomly into intervention and control groups (50 and 51 participants respectively). Analysis of covariance adjusting for baseline values indicated that the SF36 subscales of physical functioning (p = 0.018) and vitality (p = 0.016) significantly improved in the intervention group compared to the control group, although there were no significant differences between the groups in the SF36 Physical Component Summary (PCS) and Mental Component Summary (MCS) scores. The RSES increased in the intervention group (p = 0.020) compared to the control group. No significant group differences were observed in EPDS scores. Conclusions: The postpartum exercise class program provided to healthy postpartum women appears to have contributed to promoting health-related QOL and self-esteem.展开更多

Because NMDAR is a main way to mediate internal flow of Ca2+ among glutamic acid receptors, over-excitation can cause neuronal apoptosis. Calcitonin gene related peptide has a strongly biological activity. On one hand, it can protect ischemic neurons through inhibiting the expression of NMDAR1 mRNA; on the other hand, it can play the protective effect through down-regulating the expression of NMDAR1 mRNA by exogenous calcitonin gene related peptide. OBJECTIVE: To observe the expression of NMDAR1 and the regulatory effect of calcitonin gene related peptide on the expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and protein in the cerebral cortex of rats with focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R). DESIGN: Randomized controlled animal study. SETTING: China Medical University. MATERIALS: A total of 216 healthy male Wistar rats, general grade, weighing 250-280 g, were selected in this study. Twelve rats were randomly selected to regard as control group; meanwhile, other 204 rats were used to establish middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MACO) models. The main reagents were detailed as follows: calcitonin gene related peptide (Sigma Company); calcitonin gene related peptide kit (Boster Company); antibody Ⅰ, Ⅱ and antibody β-actin Ⅰ, Ⅱ of NMDAR1 mRNA and chemiluminescence reagent (Santa Cruz Company, USA). METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Laboratory of Neurobiology of China Medical University from August 2005 to June 2006. ① Right MCAO models of rats were established to cause focal ischemia and scored based on Zea Longa five-grade scale. If the scores were 1, 2 and 3 after wakefulness, the MACO models were established successfully and involved in the experiment. A total of 120 rats with successful modeling were randomly divided into I/R group and administration group with 60 in each group. All rats in the both groups were observed at five time points, including 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours after reperfusion and after 2-hour ischemia, with 12 experimental animals at each time point. Six rats were prepared for detection of hybridization in situ, and the other 6 were used for Western blotting histochemical detection. Rats in the control group were opened their skin to separate common carotid artery and not treated with line and drugs. In addition, rats in the I/R group were treated with 1 mL saline at 2 hours after focal cerebral ischemia, and then, rats in the administration group were treated with 1 mL (1 g/L) calcitonin gene related peptide at 2 hours after focal cerebral ischemia. ② The expression of NMDAR1 mRNA was detected with hybridization in situ at various time points; moreover, the expression of NMDAR1 protein was measured with Western blotting method at various time points. The results were analyzed with Metamoph imaging analytical system. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein in cortical neurons of rats at various time points. RESULTS: A total of 84 rats were excluded because of non-symptoms, exanimation or death; and then, 132 rats were involved in the final analysis. The expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein in cortical neurons of rats in the control group was 0.205±0.001 and 0.184±0.001, respectively; after I/R, expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein was up-regulated, especially, expression of mRNA at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours was 0.245±0.003, 0.287±0.004, 0.354±0.008, 0.284±0.002 and 0.217±0.006, respectively; moreover, expression of protein at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours was 0.222±0.003, 0.261±0.028, 0.311±0.004, 0.259±0.013 and 0.210±0.008, respectively. There was significant difference between the two groups (0.205±0.001, P < 0.01). The expression was up-related in the former 24 hours, reached peak at 24 hours, down-regulated, and decreased to the level of control group at 72 hours. Except 72 hours, the expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein was lower in administration group than that in I/R group at other four time points. In addition, the expression of mRNA at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours was 0.223±0.005, 0.243±0.001, 0.292±0.002, 0.250±0.003 and 0.213±0.003, respectively; moreover, the expression of protein at 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours was 0.216±0.006, 0.245±0.025, 0.276±0.003, 0.241±0.045 and 0.202±0.013, respectively. There was significant difference at various time points (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The expressions of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein of peripheral cortical neurons are up-related in ischemic area after focal cerebral I/R. Meanwhile, exogenous calcitonin gene related peptide can protect cortical neurons through inhibiting expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein after focal cerebral I/R.展开更多

Patients who had an experience of PTCA or CABG were excluded from the study. Control subjects were healthy adults who had normal EKG values, no chest pain and no past history of cardiac disease (100 control group). All subjects were free of serum lipid lowering drugs. Serum α-T and B-C were analysed using HPLC. In addition to antioxidant vitamins, serum lipids (total cholesterol, HDL, TG) were also measured. Each case and control was matched in terms of age and sex. And all the CAD risk factors such as blood pressure, smoking, alcohol, serum lipid profile and BMI were adjusted to determine pure effect(s) of α-T and B-C on the CAD.The concentrations of both α-T and B-C were significantly lower in the CAD group than those in control group (P<0.05); in CAD group, mean values of α-T and B-C were 11.9±7.2 (μg/ml), 35.8±3.1 (μg/dl) respectively. As for the levels of B-C, it shows inverse relation with age, but not for the α-T Ievels. Serum levels of both vitamins did not show any significant differences in terms of sex, but men have a tendency o higher levels of B-C,but lower levels of α-T展开更多

Thechange of the main current and the inshore current velocity is induced by thecompletion of the regulation work. Yet Flood Control Departments pay muchmore attention to the extent, the range and the law of the inshore current velocity increase, especially in the river reaches which have arduous tasks of floodcontrol. Flood Control Departments object to constructing regulation work sucnas groynes, because they have always thought regulation work may lead to theincrease in the inshore current velocity. This paper intends to expound on theinfluences of regulation work on the extent, range and law of the inshore current velocity through analyzing the data obtained from the scale model tests ofthe Jiepai Reach in the middle of the Yangtze River and also discuss the possi-bility of limiting increase of the inshore current velocity through properly ad-justing regulaton work, thus we can correct evaluation of the influence of theriver regulation展开更多

Although effortful control covers some dispositional self-regulatory abilities important to cope with social demands of successful adaptation to school, such as attention regulation, individual differences in EC have recently been associated with school functioning through academic achievement including the efficient use of learning-related behaviors, which have been found to be a necessary precursor of learning and they refer to a set of children’s behaviors that involve organizational skills and appropriate habits of study. Therefore, the aim of this study is to review the literature on EC’s relationship to academic achievement via learning-related behaviors, which reflect the use of metacognitive control processes in kindergarten and elementary school students. The findings indicate that EC affects academic achievement through the facilitation of the efficient use of metacognitive control processes.展开更多

In this paper, a dynamic equation and method to assemble parameter matrixes for a mega-sub controlled structure under random wind loads is presented. Semi-active control using magnetorheological dampers for the MSCS under random wind loads is investigated, and is compared with a corresponding system without dampers. A parametric study of the relative stiffness ratio and relative mass ratio between the mega-frame and the substructures, as well as the additional column stiffness ratio that influences the response control effectiveness of the MSCS, is discussed. The studies reveal, for the first time, that different control mechanisms exist. The results indicate that the proposed structure employing semi-active control can offer an effective control mechanism. Guidelines for selecting parameters are provided based on the analytical study.展开更多

It is found that the relation successfully elucidates the creep mechanism related to current constitutive relations. The model can be used to describe the temperature and frequency dependent low cycle fatigue behavior of the solder. The relation and the model are further employed in part Ⅱ to develop the numerical simulation approach for the long-term reliability assessment of the plastic ball grid array (BGA) assembly.展开更多

In such a case, at first, each subsystem is distinctively represented by its model, since the outcomes point out that the chosen models have the same behavior as corresponding ones. Then, the industrial multivariable system and its presentation are achieved in line with the integration of these subsystems, since the interaction between them can not actually be ignored. To analyze the interaction presented, the Gershgorin bands need to be acquired, where the results are used to modify the system parameters to appropriate values. Subsequently, in the view of modeling results, the control concept in two different techniques including sequential loop closing control(SLCC) scheme and diagonal dominance control(DDC) schemes is proposed to implement on the system through the Profibus network, as long as the OPC(OLE for process control) server is utilized to communicate between the control schemes presented and the multivariable system. The real test scenarios are carried out and the corresponding outcomes in their present forms are acquired. In the same way, the proposed control schemes results are compared with each other, where the real consequences verify the validity of them in the field of the presented industrial multivariable system control.展开更多

However, the optimal location for the bypass is generally difficult to design with the trade-off between controllability and capital investments. In this paper, based on the steady-state model of heat exchanger networks the optimal bypass location was firstly selected by iteratively calculating the non-square Relative Gain Array (ns-RGA). To simplify the calculation process, rules of bypass selection were also proposed. In order to evaluate this method, then, the structural controllability of heat exchanger networks was analyzed. With both the consideration of the controllability and capital investments, the bypasses locations were finally selected. A case study on the HEN in Crude Distillation Unit was presented in which the ns-RGA and structural controllability were used to select bypasses and also to evaluate the results.展开更多

文摘Purpose:The purpose of present study was to investigate the impact of sport experience on response inhibition and response re-engagement in expert badminton athletes during the stop-signal task and change-signal task. Methods:A total of 19 badminton athletes and 20 nonathletes performed both the stop-signal task and change-signal task.Reaction times(RTs)and event-related potentials were recorded and analyzed. Results:Behavioral results indicated that badminton athletes responded faster than nonathletes to go stimuli and to change signals, with faster change RTs and change-signal RTs,which take into consideration the variable stimulus onset time mean.During successful change trials in the change-signal task, the amplitudes of the event-related potential components N2 and P3 were smaller for badminton athletes than for nonathletes.Moreover,change-signal RTs and N2 amplitudes as well as change RTs and P3 amplitudes were significantly correlated in badminton athletes.A significant correlation was also found between the amplitude of the event-related potential component N1 and response accuracy to change signals in badminton athletes. Conclusion:Moderation of brain cortical activity in badminton athletes was more associated with their ability to rapidly inhibit a planned movement and re-engage with a new movement compared with nonathletes. The superior inhibitory control and more efficient neural mechanisms in badminton athletes compared with nonathletes might be a result of badminton athletes’ professional training experience.
文摘BACKGROUND: Activation of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) is a key link of exitotoxicity at the phase of cerebral ischemic injury. Meanwhile, exogenous calcitonin gene related peptide can protect cortical neurons through inhibiting expression of NMDAR1 mRNA and its protein after focal cerebral I/R.
文摘With the changes in trends of disease pattern from infectious to chronic degenerative disease, cardiovascular disease has been considered as the major cause of death in Korea.Numerous studies have been done on the antioxidant effects of some vitamins in the prevention of chronic illness, but not many in relation to the cardiovascular disease. Therefore, the relation between antioxidant vitamins, mainly α-tocopherol (α-T) and B-carotene (B-C), and coronary artery disease (CAD) such as angina pectoris and myocardial infarction has been investigated in this study. The blood samples were obtained from the CAD patients who were angiographically diagnosed within a month (100 case group). Serum levels of both vitamins did not show any significant differences in terms of sex, but men have a tendency o higher levels of B-C,but lower levels of α-T
文摘Flood control is closely related to the rising level of the upstream. This paper intends to expound on theinfluences of regulation work on the extent, range and law of the inshore current velocity through analyzing the data obtained from the scale model tests ofthe Jiepai Reach in the middle of the Yangtze River and also discuss the possi-bility of limiting increase of the inshore current velocity through properly ad-justing regulaton work, thus we can correct evaluation of the influence of theriver regulation
文摘Effortful control (EC) is a temperamental self-regulatory capacity, defined as the efficiency of executive attention [1], which is related to individual differences in self-regulation. The findings indicate that EC affects academic achievement through the facilitation of the efficient use of metacognitive control processes.

文摘This paper proposes an electromagnetic coil topology and its control strategy, which can be incorporated into the electromagnetic docking device to achieve relative pose control in satellite docking. The target satellite has a main coil;the chaser satellite possesses a main coil of the same size accompanied by six and four evenly arranged secondary coils inside and outside the main coil, respectively. The coil on the target satellite is DC energized, while the currents in the coils of the chaser satellite are regulated. To remove the coupling between the pitch/yaw torque and translational force, the internal and external secondary coils of the chaser satellite interact with the main coil of the target satellite to perform the control of relative pitch/yaw and relative translation, respectively,so relative pose control can be achieved. The torque and force vectors exerted by the secondary coils of the chaser satellite are synthesized onto the pitch and yaw axes of the body frame.According to their spatial composition relationship, the formulas are proposed, which obtain the magnetic moment vectors of the coils from the set torques and forces. The controllers regulating pitch/yaw,translation,and distance utilize a three-loop cascaded structure that consists of an outer position loop,a middle velocity loop and an inner current loop. The control strategy is verified by dynamics simulation.

文摘The recently proposed mega-sub controlled structure (MSCS), a new type of structure associated with the design and construction of super-tall buildings, has attracted the attention of designers for use in enhancing the control effectiveness in mega-frame buildings. Guidelines for selecting parameters are provided based on the analytical study.

文摘In this study, a new unified creep constitutive relation and a mod- ified energy-based fatigue model have been established respectively to describe the creep flow and predict the fatigue life of Sn-Pb solders. It is found that the relation successfully elucidates the creep mechanism related to current constitutive relations. The model can be used to describe the temperature and frequency dependent low cycle fatigue behavior of the solder. The relation and the model are further employed in part Ⅱ to develop the numerical simulation approach for the long-term reliability assessment of the plastic ball grid array (BGA) assembly.
文摘With a focus on an industrial multivariable system, two subsystems including the flow and the level outputs are analysed and controlled, which have applicability in both real and academic environments. In the same way, the proposed control schemes results are compared with each other, where the real consequences verify the validity of them in the field of the presented industrial multivariable system control.
文摘In order to make the static state feedback nonlinear decoupling control law for a kind of missile to be easy for implementation in practice, an improvement is discussed. The improvement method is to introduce a BP neural network to approximate the decoupling control laws which are designed for different aerodynamic characteristic points, so a new decoupling control law based on BP neural network is produced after the network training. The simulation results on an example illustrate the approach obtained feasible and effective.

文摘Considering the flexibility and controllability of heat exchanger networks (HENs), bypasses are widely used for effective control of process stream target temperatures. A case study on the HEN in Crude Distillation Unit was presented in which the ns-RGA and structural controllability were used to select bypasses and also to evaluate the results.
