A Brief Research of Vegetarianism in Religious Cultures Between the West and China

Vegetarian is a kind of dietary mode, mainly including plant foods. The vegetarian diet has gradually become a core cultural phenomenon that is deeply rooted in China and the West, which is also closely related to many other factors, especially religions.Practicing vegetarianism in Taoism originates from the pursuit of the unity of man and nature.ln Buddhist, it is profoundly influenced by karma, cleat＂ discipline rules, and six major parts of its reincarnation. While in Christianity, it is affected by the idea of ＂the equality of all creatures＂ and holds the view that everything is created by God, and belongs to God. This paper first discusses the religious beliefs and doctrines of various religions, and then studies their causes and impact on modern society. The aim of this paper is to call on people＇s reverence for life, respect for the natural environment, and the creation of harmonious relationship between man and nature, as well as human beings themselves.

The Spread and Integration of Religious Culture Along the Eastern Silk Road

The eastern Silk Road is a product of the mutual exchange of material culture and spiritual culture among ancient China and other countries,regions,and nations.It is the result of the contact and collision between eastern and western civilizations.It is also a strong proof that the Chinese nation implements the policy of opening to the outside world.Historically,the Silk Road served as a bridge of economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries,closely linking ancient Chinese culture with the cultures of central Asia,west Asia,Persia,and even ancient Greek and Roman cultures.In various regions along the eastern silk road,there were many religions,but not only did they rarely fight with each other,but they were able to live in harmony and develop together.On the Silk Road,various religions developed in parallel,their doctrines absorbed and integrated,and different religions borrowed terms from each other and adopted the forms of other religions,making the silk road a cultural stage for the exchange and integration of religions,which constituted a unique phenomenon in the history of the development of world religions.

Religious(Islamic)Culture Pluralism to Wittgenstein and Gadamer(A Comparative Study)

The current study aims to explain the fundamentals of religious pluralism in Wittgenstein later philosophy and Gadamer philosophical hermeneutics,specifically regarding culture.It,then,proposes the approach more suitable for the Islamic context.Having fulfilled such an objective,pluralism,concerning religious rituals,becomes accepted and cultural and religious interaction is realized without any relativism conclusion.Wittgenstein’s pluralism results in pure relativism.That is to say,in order to understand the rules of the language game and life style he mentions,one needs to be placed inside.However,it is a dialectical model that Gadamer philosophical hermeneutics leads to.Dialogue gives opportunity to cultural interaction and convergence,developing the religious culture.The latter is of more proximity to Islamic resources such as the Quran,proposing a religious culture transcending cultural,historical,and social limitations.All in all,the two significant features of Gadamer’s which Wittgenstein ignores are first,the interaction of religious pluralism encouraging the development of religious culture and second,reciprocal relation between culture and religion based on hermeneutics circle.
