METHODS: A total of 124 patients, who needed to undergo coronary intervention in our hospital, were randomly divided into the fine group and the combined group, with 62 patients in each group. The two groups of patients were enrolled in the PCI routine nursing procedure, in which the fine group was given refined nursing, and the joint group, based on that, added the traditional Chinese medicine nursing. The self-management (self-management scale of coronary heart disease), self-efficacy (self-efficacy scale of coronary heart disease), quality of life score (Seattle angina questionaire (SAQ), TCM symptom score] of the two groups were observed before and after treatment. The incidence of postoperative complications after nursing intervention was recorded. RESULTS: After nursing intervention, each score and total scores of the self-administration scale of the combined group were higher than those of the fine group (P < 0.05). After the nursing intervention, each score and the total scores of the self-efficacy scale of the combined group were higher than the fine group (P < 0.05) After the nursing intervention, the SAQ score of the combined group was significantly higher than that of the fine group (P < 0.05). After the nursing intervention, TCM symptom score of the combined group was significantly lower than that of the fine group (P < 0.05). After nursing intervention, the postoperative complication rate of the combined group was 79.03%, which was lower than that of the fine group (59.68%)(P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Patients with coronary intervention, who use traditional Chinese medicine combined with refined nursing, can improve their quality of life, clinical symptoms and postoperative complications by improving their self-management and efficacy, which is conducive to the recovery of patients' follow-up.展开更多

The ICD-9-CM(volume 3),ICD-10 Procedure Coding System, and International Classification of Health Interventions cover insufficient concepts of TCM, and cannot be used directly as classification systems for TCM interventions. In contrast, the TCM contents of the TCMe SH thesaurus are complete, systematic, and detailed, and its hierarchical structure can be used for effective TCM classification.CONCLUSION: TCM classification is very limited and flawed. The Me SH thesaurus helps decrease the detrimental effect of the language barrier. Similarly, the TCMe SH thesaurus can help those without full command of the Mandarin language to access Chinese literature, but the value of searches using TCMe SH could be improved by collaborative working with Information Specialists who are fluent in Mandarin and understand TCM.展开更多

文摘With the recent upsurge of studies in the field of microbiology,we have learned more about the complexity of the gastrointestinal microecosystem.More than 30 genera and 1000 species of gastrointestinal microflora have been found. The structure of the normal microflora is relatively stable, and is in an interdependent and restricted dynamic equilibrium with the body.In recent years, studies have shown that there is a potential relationship between gastrointestinal microflora imbalance and gastric cancer(GC)and precancerous lesions. So,restoring the balance of gastrointestinal microflora is of great significance. Moreover, intervention in gastric premalignant condition(GPC),also known as precancerous lesion of gastric cancer(PLGC),has been the focus of current clinical studies. The holistic view of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is consistent with the microecology concept, and oral TCM can play a two-way regulatory role directly with the microflora in the digestive tract, restoring the homeostasis of gastrointestinal microflora to prevent canceration. However, large gaps in knowledge remain to be addressed. This review aims to provide new ideas and a reference for clinical practice.

文摘Objective:To observe the early interventions of traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)on the conversion time of nucleic acid in patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),and find possible underlying mechanisms of action. Methods:A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 300 confirmed COVID-19 patients who were treated with TCM,at a designated hospital in China. The patients were categorized into three groups:TCM1,TCM2 and TCM3,who respectively received TCM interventions within 7,8–14,and greater than15 days of hospitalization.Different indicators such as the conversion time of pharyngeal swab nucleic acid, the conversion time of fecal nucleic acid, length of hospital stay, and inflammatory markers(leukocyte count, and lymphocyte count and percentage)were analyzed to observe the impact of early TCM interventions on these groups. Results:The median conversion times of pharyngeal swab nucleic acid in the three groups were 5.5,7 and16 d(P<0.001),with TCM1 and TCM2 being statistically different from TCM3(P<0.01).TCM1(P<0.05)and TCM3(P<0.01)were statistically different from TCM2.The median conversion times of fecal nucleic acid in the three groups were 7,9 and 17 d(P<0.001).Conversion times of fecal nucleic acid in TCM1 were statistically different from TCM3 and TCM2(P<0.01).The median lengths of hospital stay in the three groups were 13,16 and 21 d(P<0.001).TCM1 and TCM2 were statistically different from TCM3(P<0.01);TCM1 and TCM3 were statistically different from TCM2(P<0.01).Both leucocyte and lymphocyte counts increased gradually with an increase in the length of hospital stay in TCM1 group patients, with a statistically significant difference observed at each time point in the group(P<0.001).Statistically significant differences in lymphocyte count and percentage in TCM2(P<0.001),and in leucocyte count(P=0.043)and lymphocyte count(P=0.038)in TCM3 were observed. The comparison among the three groups showed a statistically significant difference in lymphocyte percentage on the third day of admission(P=0.044).Conclusion:In this study,it was observed that in COVID-19 patients treated with a combination of Chinese and Western medicines,TCM intervention earlier in the hospital stay correlated with faster conversion time of pharyngeal swab and fecal nucleic acid,as well as shorter length of hospital stay, thus helping promote faster recovery of the patient. The underlying mechanism of action may be related to improving inflammation in patients with COVID-19.

文摘Objective:This intervention has been shown to be clinically efficacious and safe. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different intervention times on the efficacy of gastroparesis external application prescription versus placebo for the treatment of gastrointestinal tumor postoperative, postsurgical gastroparesis. Methods:A multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo controlled phaseⅢclinical trial was designed to demonstrate superiority and conducted at four grade 3A hospitals in Beijing.Patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis and local cold syndrome in the abdomen were enrolled and received conventional treatment(nutritional support, gastrointestinal decompression, and prokinetic medication).Treatment and control groups respectively received gastroparesis external application prescription or placebo acupoint application over a treatment course of 14 days or until the primary efficacy endpoint(clinical efficiency)was achieved. Results:A total of 120 patients were enrolled in the treatment and control groups(n Z 60 per group),and 15 patients dropped out of the study because of skin allergies(n Z 7)or poor efficacy(nZ8).The efficacy among patients in Class B of Group A(treatment group)was marginally better than that of Group B(control group)(64.28%vs.55.56%)although the difference between the two groups was not significant. However, the efficacy among patients in Class C of Group A was significantly better than that of Group B(79.49%vs.43.33%).For Group A,the time for patients in the three classes to achieve the efficacy endpoint increased significantly with disease progression(3.00,6.78,and 8.29 days for Class A,B,and C,respectively). Conclusions:Gastroparesis external application prescription can effectively treat gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis and may be more efficacious in progressive disease compared placebo.Patients with gastrointestinal tumor postsurgical gastroparesis should therefore undergo intervention at an earlier stage.
文摘OBJECTIVE: To describe the key systems used for Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) classification.METHODS: The TCM classifications used in the International Classification of Diseases-9 Clinical Modification(ICD-9-CM) volume 3, the ICD-10 Procedure Coding System, the International Classification of Health Interventions, and the Medical Subject Headings(Me SH) and Chinese Traditional Medicine and Materia Medica Subject Headings(TCMe SH) thesauruses were compared regarding descriptive terms, structure, and features of TCM interventions.RESULTS: The National Library of Medicine's Me SH thesaurus is ubiquitous. Similarly, the TCMe SH thesaurus can help those without full command of the Mandarin language to access Chinese literature, but the value of searches using TCMe SH could be improved by collaborative working with Information Specialists who are fluent in Mandarin and understand TCM.

文摘With the continuing progress in space exploration,a new and perplexing condition related to spaceflight ocular syndrome has emerged in the past four decades.National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) has named this condition "spaceflight-associated neuro-ocular syndrome"(SANS).This article gives an overview of the current research about SANS and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) by analyzing the existing publications on Pub Med and CNKI and reports from NASA about SANS,summarizing the potential pathogenesis of SANS and physical interventions for treating SANS,and discussing the feasibility of treating SANS with TCM.Due to the unique characteristics of the space environment,it is infeasible to conduct large-scale human studies of SANS.SANS may be the result of the interaction of multiple factors, including inflammation and fluid displacement in the optic nerve sheath and cerebrospinal fluid. We should pay attention to SANS.Visual function is not only related to the health of astronauts but also closely related to space operations.TCM has antioxidative stress and antiapoptotic effects and is widely used for optic nerve diseases.TCM has great potential to prevent SANS.
