The reconfigurable metasurfaces which can regulate the microwave absorption performance at the sub wavelength scale provide a possibility to construct intelligent stealth system.However,the existing reconfigurable-metasurface-based absorbers seriously limit the medium and long-distance regulation in practical application due to the complex circuit path and regulation mode.Here,an infrared-coded dual-polarized metasurface absorber(IDMA)with remote-control mode was proposed,which realized the realtime dynamic regulation of the intensity and frequency range of absorption peaks by combining the infrared-coding remotecontrol technology with the active metasurface absorber.The proposed remote-control system can switch the 8-bit binary coding sequences stored in the microcontroller unit(MCU)by an infrared transceiver,so as to regulate the state of active devices under X-and Y-polarizations,respectively.The experimental results showed that the reflection/absorption responses can be regulated by switching different binary codes,and the reflection loss(RL)can be tuned below−7.5 dB(absorptivity over 82%)in wide range of 6.20–18 GHz.Furthermore,the corresponding equivalent circuit model was established and the distributions of surface current and electric field were analyzed to elucidate the dynamic reconfigurable mechanism of the metasurface absorber.The proposed IDMA,which combines intelligent electronic technology with active metasurface absorber,creatively realizes the remote control of active metasurface absorber and opens up a new way for the stealth technology of smart absorber in the future. 展开更多

According to the requirements, an active infrared system is designed, which is composed of the emitting and receiving parts. The emitting part consists of a GaAs semiconductor laser device and binoculars optical system. A Si photodiode is selected as the receiving device, and a preamplifier circuit is designed to match the detector and further improve the signal to noise ratio. The laser encoding mode is utilized to enhance the anti disturbance. The theoretical analysis of this system is presented and a system prototype is made according to the requirement. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical prediction. 展开更多

Chalkboard erasers that are commonly used in many schools and education organizations have <span>the </span><span>poor ability in removing the dust off the chalkboard and collect them. The dust that is not collected will be taken into human bodies via inhalation, which will lead to respiratory diseases. Therefore, it is crucial to design a chalkboard eraser that can collect the dust effectively. If the eraser can be controlled both remotely and manually by people, it can further reduce the amount of dust taken in by human bodies. To achieve remote control, a micro-controller is needed to transfer the infrared radiation (IR) into signals that can control electric motors to move around on the chalkboard. Furthermore, the microfiber is also used as the cleaning material to improve the performance of dust cleaning and collecting. A vacuum pump is needed to create negative pressure between the eraser and the chalkboard so that the eraser can stick to it. The result shows a stronger ability in removing and collecting dust. With the help of the Arduino UNO board, the remote control is successfully achieved, and the eraser can move on the chalkboard freely according to the order.</span> 展开更多

Methods: The HR was recorded in six conscious Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. An implanted chip system was designed to regulate the HR by stimulating the right cervical vagus nerve according to the feedback of real time HR. Each rat was subjected to 30-min regulation and 30-min recovery. The change of HR during the regulation period was compared with the control. The ECG was recorded during the experiment for 24 h. Results: The ECG signals were successfully recorded during the experiment. The HR was significantly decreased during the period of regulation compared with control (-79.3 ± 34.5, P 〈 0.01, n = 6) and then recovered to normal after regulation. Conclusion: The described implanted chip system can regulate the HR to a designated set point. 展开更多

Bioreactor operation requires continuous monitoring of fermentation parameters and real-time control over bioreactor devices. Remote monitoring and control of the bioreactor's computer via the Internet avoids the necessity of personnel being continually onsite during operation. A two liter Sartorius-stedim Biostat~ A Plus fermentation system was networked and interfaced with the commercial software from GoToMyPC to allow remote control of the fermentation system utilizing the internet. The fermentation vessel was equipped with hardware calibrated for monitoring and controlling culture parameters during experimentations. The uniform resource locator controlled night-vision web camera allowed continuous monitoring of the glass fermentation vessel during the day and at night. The main window screen of the laboratory computer can be securely accessed from any portable device (i.e. laptop) capable of establishing an Internet connection and executing the commercial software from GoToMyPC. The secured internet protocol address, provided by GoToMyPC, assures that the system can only be controlled by authorized users who have been given access to the account. This interface permits the remote control of the Biostat A Plus fermentation system and possibly other automated or potentially automated culturing systems at the convenience of the user(s). 展开更多

The measurement of position and attitude parameters for the isolated target from a highspeed aircraft is a great challenge in the field of wind tunnel simulation technology. This paper proposes a remote-controlled flexible pose measurement system in wind tunnel conditions for the separation of a target from an aircraft. The position and attitude parameters of a moving object are obtained by utilizing a single camera with a focal length and camera orientation that can be changed based on different measurement conditions. Using this proposed system and method, both the flexibility and efficiency of the pose measurement system can be enhanced in wind tunnel conditions to meet the measurement requirements of different objects and experiments, which is also useful for the development of an intelligent position and attitude measurement system. The position and the focal length of the camera also can be controlled remotely during measurements to enlarge both the vertical and horizontal measurement range of this system. Experiments are conducted in the laboratory to measure the position and attitude of moving objects with high flexibility and efficiency, and the measurement precision of the measurement system is also verified through experiments. 展开更多
