Objective: To analyze hot research areas and the present research status of nursing safety management in PubMed. Methods: PubMed was searched using "safety management" for the literature on nursing safety management. BICOMB 2.0 and SPSS 20.0 software were used to analyze high-frequency keywords and conduct co-word clustering analysis. Results: We searched for totally 2353 articles related to our topic and extracted 19 high-frequency keywords (27.50%). Five research focuses were concluded, including: study on nursing safety culture; team work to promote nursing safety; practice of nursing safety management; workplace violence against nursing staffs; nursing safety and quality evaluation standard. Conclusion: Analysis of the hotspots of nursing safety management in the past 10 years will contribute to understanding the research emphases and trend of development, and provide reference for the study and practice of nursing safety management. 展开更多

The aim of this paper was to identify the trends and hot topics in the study of scientific collaboration via scientometric analysis. Information visualization and knowledge domain visualization techniques were adopted to determine how the study of scientific collaboration has evolved. A total of 1,455 articles on scientific cooperation published between 1993 and 2007 were retrieved from the SCI, SSCI and A&HCI databases with a topic search of scientific collaboration or scientific cooperation for the analysis. By using CiteSpace, the knowledge bases, research foci, and research fronts in the field of scientific collaboration were studied. The results indicated that research fronts and research foci are highly consistent in terms of the concept, origin, measurement, and theory of scientific collaboration. It also revealed that research fronts included scientific collaboration networks, international scientific collaboration, social network analysis and techniques, and applications of bibliometrical indicators, webmetrics, and health care related areas. 展开更多

Based on an urbanization research database,a bibliometric analysis of Chinese ecological environmental research on urbanization was conducted that examined output, focused fields, topics, theories and methods. Results show that research output in this field has been increasing since 2005.Land and industry fields in resource research, economics in ecological research, and climate and urban environments in environmental research have been studied from 1992–2011.Keywords analysis discovered that "Land Use" and "Heat Island Effect" were major keywords, making up 0.15% and 0.09% of the total frequency, respectively."Heat Island Effect" and "Climate Change" were the most recent popular keywords.Main theories were derived from ecology, mathematics, resource environmental economics and environmental science.Ecological footprint has been a core theory since 2002.The stochastic impacts by regression on population, affluence and technology model(STIRPAT),Environmental Kuznets Curve(EKC),and slope, land use map, excluded area, urban area, transportation map and hillside area model(SLEUTH) are the latest popular theories.During 1992–2011,the main research methods can be divided into four groups: statistics(65.17%),systems(13.11%),mechanisms(11.79%) and evaluation(9.93%).Grey System Analysis from system methods and rescaled range(R/S) analysis from evaluation are the latest popular methods.Topics from macro subfields, including land use, heat island effects, water resources and the agricultural ecological environment received more attention than micro subfields such as urban environmental health problems. As urbanization problems evolve, resource environmental economic comprehensive models will advance with modeling progress and some models, such as STIRPAT and land use change simulation models, will be developed for evaluation and simulation of the ecological environmental impacts of Chinese urbanization. 展开更多

The fabrication and characterization of p-i-n photodiodes integrated with wide spectrum focusing reflectors using nonperiodic strip and concentric-circular subwavelength gratings are presented. The experimental results show that the gratings can reflect and focus the incident light on the absorber of the photodiode, and thus can simultaneously achieve high speed and high efficiency. For the gratings’ integrated photodiodes, the responsivity is improved over a wide spectral range, and when the absorber was 600 nm and the mesa diameter was40 μm, a responsivity of 0.46 A/W at a wavelength of 1.55 μm and a 3 dB bandwidth of 21.6 GHz under a reverse bias of 3 V were simultaneously obtained. 展开更多

It is driven by the need to improve English classroom instruction for university students in China (Wen, 2016). It is also motivated by the aspiration to enhance the quality of foreign language education in other similar pedagogical contexts outside China. A volume of research has been done by Wen Qiufang and her research team, to formulate the theory of POA and to test its effectiveness in classroom pedagogy (e.g. Wen, 2016, 2015; Yang, 2015; Zhang, 2015). At the moment, the POA is still at an early stage of theory building and almost all empirical research is done in the Chinese context. In order to improve the quality of this theory and to make it intelligible to the international academic community, a one-day symposium was held in Beijing Foreign Studies University on May 15, 2017. The symposium was entitled 'The first international forum on innovative foreign language education in China: Appraisal of the POA'. In the forum, leading experts in applied linguistics were invited to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the POA and the directions for its future development. The symposium was the first attempt for the POA research team to discuss its latest work with international scholars. This Viewpoint section collects the responses of four experts who participated in the symposium, listed in alphabetical order. The collection of articles covers three topics related to the POA: its pedagogical application, its use for teacher training, and its research. Alister Cumming is Professor Emeritus and the former Head of the Centre for Educational Research on Languages and Literacies, University of Toronto, Canada. His article focuses primarily on POA research as an exemplary case of design-based research. Rod Ellis is Research Professor in the School of Education at Curtin University, Australia. He discusses POA in terms of pedagogy, teacher training and research, with both critiques and constructive suggestions. Paul Kei Matsuda is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing at Arizona State University, the writed states. He responds to POA from the perspective of an expert researcher and teacher of L2 writing. Charlene Polio is Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Linguistics & Germanic, Slavic, Asian & African Languages atMichigan State University, the writed states. She conceptualises POA as a useful method to address some issues in pre-service teacher development. Overall, the articles in this section are insightful and reader-friendly. They are not only useful for the development of POA in particular, but may also be valuable to a broad range of researchers as they touch upon pertaining issues, as well as emerging topics, in the field of applied linguistics. We therefore find it necessary to make them accessible to a wide readership. 展开更多
