Once it occurs, it produces a huge short-circuit current that poses a great risk to the safe operation of PMSM. Thus, an inter-turn short-circuit fault(ITSCF) diagnosis method based on high frequency(HF) voltage residual is proposed in this paper with proper HF signal injection. First, the analytical models of PMSM after the ITSCF are deduced. Based on the model, the voltage residual at low frequency(LF) and HF can be obtained. It is revealed that the HF voltage residual has a stronger ITSCF detection capability compared to the LF voltage residual. To obtain optimal fault signature, a 3-phase symmetrical HF voltage is injected into the machine drive system, and the HF voltage residuals are extracted. The fault indicator is defined as the standard deviation of the 3-phase HF voltage residuals. The effectiveness of the proposed ITSCF diagnosis method is verified by experiments on a triple 3-phase PMSM. It is worth noting that no extra hardware equipment is required to implement the proposed method.展开更多
SnO2-based varistor samples doped with Co2O3,Nb2O5 and Cr2O3 were prepared by ball-mixed oxide method.The microstructure,nonlinear I-V characteristic and surge current performances of these samples were investigated.T...SnO2-based varistor samples doped with Co2O3,Nb2O5 and Cr2O3 were prepared by ball-mixed oxide method.The microstructure,nonlinear I-V characteristic and surge current performances of these samples were investigated.This paper mainly focused on the dependence of the residual voltage ratio behavior of SnO2-based varistors on Nb2O5 addition,different factors influencing the residual voltage ratio in different concentration of Nb2O5 were analyzed.The Nb2O5 addition influences its residual voltage ratio by changing the grain size,forming defects(especially the free electrons) and cumulative effect.The measured results indicated that the optimally obtained sample with 0.07mol% Nb2O5 possesses the lowest residual voltage ratio of 1.86,the corresponding nonlinear coefficient and the threshold electric field are 42.6 and 364.6 V/mm,respectively.展开更多

Based on the analysis on the grounding current detection results of Xieqiao coal mine, the conclusion that harmonic component of grounding current is dominated by higher harmonics with complex harmonic sources in coal mine power network system was obtained. The influences of harmonic source type and fault point position on harmonic voltage and harmonic current were analyzed theoretically. The influences of earthed fault feeder detection result and the estimation errors of parameters to earth on residual current compensation were analyzed. A new thought of residual current prediction and the selections of model method and control method were proposed on this basis. The simulation results prove that harmonic amplitudes of zero sequence voltage and zero sequence current are determined by harmonic source type as well as fault point position in coal mine power network, and also prove that zero sequence voltage detection can avoid the unstable problem of coal mine power network system caused by undercompensation of capacitive current. Finally, the experimental device of full compensation arc suppression coil is introduced.展开更多
One of the common characteristics of the electrothermal breakdown in an underwater discharge acoustic source(UDAS) is the existence of a pre-breakdown-heating phase.In our experiment,two phenomena were observed:(1...One of the common characteristics of the electrothermal breakdown in an underwater discharge acoustic source(UDAS) is the existence of a pre-breakdown-heating phase.In our experiment,two phenomena were observed:(1) the breakdown time that takes on high randomicity and obeys a "double-peak" stochastic distribution;(2) the higher salt concentration that reduces the residual voltage and causes 100% non-breakdown.The mechanism of electrothermal breakdown is analysed.To specify the end of the pre-breakdown-heating phase,a "border boiling" assumption is proposed,in which the breakdown time is assumed to be the time needed to heat the border water around the initial arc to 773 K.Based on this 'border boiling' assumption,the numerical simulation is performed to evaluate the effects of two heating mechanisms:the Joule heating from the ionic current,and the radiation heating from the initial arc.The simulation results verify the theoretical explanations to these two experiment phenomena:(1) the stochastic distribution of the radius of the initial arc results in the randomicity of the breakdown time;(2) the difference in efficiency between the radiation heating and the Joule heating determines that,in the case of higher salt concentration,more energy will be consumed in the pre-breakdown-heating phase.展开更多

The leakage current densities of the samples decrease first and then increase again with the increase of the amount of MnO 2 additives. Correspondingly, the nonlinear coefficients of the samples keep on increasing and then decrease. In addition, the donor densities increase monotonously with the amount of the doped MnO 2 increasing. The effects of MnO 2 additives on the electrical characteristics of the samples are different from the conclusion of previous literatures. The reasons of the distinct effects are supposed to be related with the donor and interface state densities of the samples.展开更多

When the input analog signal of the structure exceeds the converting range of the whole ADC, the signal can still be converted precisely and the output residue voltage of the structure will be in the converting range of the ADC. The structure is used in a 12-bit 40 MS/s pipelined ADC to test its function. The testing results show that the structure has right function and can correct the transition error induced by offset of comparators' decision levels. The ADC implemented in Semiconductor Manufactory International Corporation (SMIC) 0.18 μm CMOS process consumes 210 mW and occupies a chip area of 3.2×3.7 mm2.展开更多
