The Earth's free core nutation (FCN) is a retrograde eigenrnode which is attributed to the interaction between the solid mantle and the liquid core of the rotational elliptical Earth. This mode appears as an eigenmode of nearly diurnal free wobble (NDFW) in a terrestrial reference frame with a period of about one day (XU et al, 2001). Therefore, the NDFW will lead to an obvious resonance enhancement in the diurnal tidal gravity observations, especially those of the tidal waves with frequencies closed to its eigenfrequency such as P1, K1, ψ1 and Ф1. The FCN resonance parameters can be retrieved accurately by high-precision tidal gravity observations, especially those recorded with the superconducting gravimeters (SG). The Global Geodynamics Project (GGP) organized by IUGG took it as an important content for determining the FCN resonance parameters by using gravity data. However, the results are affected by many factors such as station location, background noise, the selection of the tide-generating potential tables, ocean tide models, data processing techniques and so on. In our study, the FCN parameters will be retrieved by using the SG observations at Wuhan, and the effects of the choices of various tide-generating potential tables, oceanic models and weight functions on the estimation of the FCN parameters will be discussed in detail, 展开更多

The purpose of this study was to investigate the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) assignments of hydrolyzed products extracted from human blood plasma. The correlations between chemical, functional and structural prop- erties of highly toxic pesticides were investigated using the PreADME analysis. We observed that toxic pesticides possessed higher molecular weight and, more hydrogen bond donors and acceptors when compared with less toxic pesticides. The occurrence of functional groups and structural properties was analyzed using ~H-NMR. The ~H- NMR spectra of the phosphomethoxy class of pesticides were characterized by methyl resonances at 3.7-3.9 ppm (8) with the coupling constants of 11-16 Hz (Je-cns). In phosphoethoxy pesticides, the methyl resonance was about 1.4 ppm (8) with the coupling constant of 10 Hz (Je-cH2) and the methylene resonances was 4.2-4.4 ppm (8) with the coupling constant of 0.8 Hz (Jp-cH3), respectively. Our study shows that the values of four parameters such as chemical shift, coupling constant, integration and relaxation time correlated with the concentration of toxic pesticides, and can be used to characterise the proton groups in the molecular structures of toxic pesticides. 展开更多

We determine the resonant parameters of the vector statesϕ(1680)andϕ(2170)by performing a combined fit to the e+e−→ηϕcross sections from the threshold to 2.85GeV measured by the BaBar,Belle,BESIII,and CMD-3 experiments. The mass(1678_(−3)^(+5)±7)MeV/c^(2) and width(156±5±9)MeV are obtained forϕ(1680),and the mass(2169±5±6)MeV/c^(2) and width(96_(−14)^(+17)±9)MeV are obtained forϕ(2170).The statistical significance ofϕ(2170)is 7.2σ.Depending on the interference betweenϕ(1680),ϕ(2170),and a non-resonantηϕamplitude in the nominal fit,we obtain four solutions andΓe+e−ϕ(1680)⋅B[ϕ(1680)→ηϕ]=(79±4±16),(127±5±12),(65_(−4)^(+5)±13)or(215_(−5)^(+8)±11)eV,andΓ_(ϕ(2170))^(e+e−)⋅B[ϕ(2170)→ηϕ]=(0.56_(−0.02)^(+0.03)±0.07),(0.36_(−0.03)^(+0.05)±0.07),(38±1±5)or(41±2±6)eV.We also search for the production of X(1750)→ηϕ,and the significance is only 2.0σ.We then determine the upper limit ofΓ_(X(1750))^(e+e−)⋅B[X(1750)→ηϕ]at the 90%confidence level. 展开更多

The neutron total cross-sections of thulium (^169Tm) were measured in the neutron energy region from 0.01 eV to 100 eV by using the time-of-flight method at the Pohang Neutron Facility, which consists of an electron linac, a water-cooled tantalum target with a water moderator, and a 12 m time of flight path, Two thulium plates with different thicknesses were used for the neutron transmission measurement. The background level was determined by using a notch-filter of Co, In, and Cd sheets. The present measurement was compared with the previous ones, and a new set of resonance parameters of ^169Tm isotope was obtained from the transmission rate by using the SAMMY code, with a comparison with the recommended parameters by Mughabghab. 展开更多

The neutron-induced total cross-section of ^(209)Bi is crucial for the physical design and safety assessment of lead-based fast reactors, and the quality of experimental data should be improved for evaluation and application.A recent experiment was conducted on the back-streaming white neutron beamline(Back-n) at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS) using the neutron total cross-section spectrometer(NTOX). The neutron energy was determined using a fast multi-cell fission chamber and the time-of-flight technique. Two high-purity bismuth samples,6 mm and 20 mm in thickness, were chosen for neutron transmission measurements and comparisons. The neutron total cross-sections of ^(209)Bi, ranging from 0.3 e V to 20 Me V, were derived considering neutron flight time determination, flight path calibration, and background subtraction. A comparison of the experimental results with the data in the ENDF/B-VⅢ.0 library showed fair agreement, and the point-wise cross-sections were found to be consistent with existing experimental data. Special attention was given to the determination of resonance parameters, which were analyzed using the R-matrix code SAMMY and Bayesian method in the 0.5 ke V to 20 ke V energy range. The extracted resonance parameters were compared to previously reported results and evaluated data. This study is recognized as the first one where the neutron total cross-section of bismuth across such a broad energy spectrum is measured in a single measurement or experiment, and it provides valuable data for the assessment of related reaction information for evaluated libraries and the advancement of lead-bismuth-based nuclear systems. 展开更多

According to the new K^*(892)^0 and K^*(892)^- masses reported by the BELLE experiment and the K^*(892)^0 mass reported by the FOCUS experiment, mass splitting between neutral and charged K^*(892) becomes very small. This is significantly different from the current world average values given by the Particle Data Group 2008. We find that there are differences between models used to fit the K^*(892) decay invariant mass spectra in different measurements and study the model dependence in the measurement of K^*(892) parameters. We refit the K^*(892)^0 mass spectra of the BELLE and FOCUS experiments with the formula used by BELLE in fitting K^*(892)^- to get new mass and width. After refitting, the K^*(892)^0 mass of the BELLE experiment becomes 1.4 MeV/c^2 larger than the initial value and that of the FOCUS experiment is 1 MeV/c^2 smaller than the initial value. We also fit the spectra of some other experiments to extract the K^* (892) parameters using the BELLE K^* (892)^- parametrization. 展开更多
