This paper studies ...With the continuous breakthrough in information technology and its integration into practical applications, industrial digital twins are expected to accelerate their development in the near future. This paper studies various control strategies for digital twin systems from the viewpoint of practical applications.To make full use of advantages of digital twins for control systems, an architecture of digital twin control systems, adaptive model tracking scheme, performance prediction scheme, performance retention scheme, and fault tolerant control scheme are proposed. Those schemes are detailed to deal with different issues on model tracking, performance prediction, performance retention, and fault tolerant control of digital twin systems. Also, the stability of digital twin control systems is analysed. The proposed schemes for digital twin control systems are illustrated by examples.展开更多

The mechanic...To evaluate the retention properties of the novel ‘C'-shaped molar bands at a laboratory level. Resin-modified glass ionomer cement(RMGIC) was used as a luting agent for the novel C-shaped molar band. The mechanical properties of the band were examined and the retention performance was characterized in the mesial, distal and vertical directions. A clinical trial was conducted using a spilt-mouth design on 50 patients. The novel C-shaped molar bands fit most molars without a repeated try-in process.The use of both nanoHA coating and RMGIC enhanced the tensile(8.00 ± 1.8 MPa) and shear strengths(27.17 ± 8.6 MPa) of the molar bands, leading to high retention in vertical, mesial and distal directions( p 〈 0.001). In clinical trials, the C-shaped molar bands had a failure rate(15%) comparable to that of traditional bands, and 93% of the failed bands demonstrated an adhesive remnant index score of 0, corroborating the observation that no luting agent residue remained on the tooth surface in most cases. The novel C-shaped molar bands appear to be a promising appliance that requires further clinical investigations, and may be used effectively in orthodontics.展开更多
To explore the effect of biochar on alleviating plant drought stress after being applied to soil,we prepared biochar using rice straw as raw material according to different pyrolysis temperatures(400,600 and 800°...To explore the effect of biochar on alleviating plant drought stress after being applied to soil,we prepared biochar using rice straw as raw material according to different pyrolysis temperatures(400,600 and 800°C)and reaction atmosphere(CO_(2)and N_(2)).The effect of different pyrolysis conditions on the water retention performance of biochar was studied.The early high water-retaining biochar materials were selected and wheat seeds were selected for the verification experiment of returning to the field in pots.Biochar with high porosity(specific surface area and total pore volume)and more surface hydrophilic functional groups(mainly-OH and-COOH)can indeed improve soil water retention performance.It is mainly reflected in the increase in the dry weight and fresh weight of wheat and the soil moisture content in the treatment group with the addition of biochar water retention agent.Among them,the growth rates of fresh weight and dry weight of wheat in the C800 treatment group were 11.51%and 10.64%,and the soil moisture content increased by 1.89%.It is worth noting that the application of biochar cannot completely alleviate the impact of drought stress on plants,but it can reduce the amount of water irrigation to a certain extent.Considering the quality of biochar,the biochar material(C800)prepared under the pyrolysis temperature of 800°C and the reaction atmosphere of CO_(2)has high water retention performance.展开更多
