To study their effects on flow properties, the modified powder samples were characterized using a variety of techniques that tested the powder under different powder states ranging from dynamic to static. It was found that all three nanoparticles improved the flow properties of the powder to some degree, though the amounts of the nanoparticles needed were different depending on their physical properties. Secondly, inconsistency among these powder characterization techniques was also found. This is attributed to the different states of the powder samples during a measurement including dynamic, dynamic-static and static states. It was confirmed that characterization techniques which test the flow properties of a powder under all three states are needed to fully describe the flow properties of the powder. Finally, the effects of combinations of nanoparticles were explored, and it was found that combinations of nanoparticles can intensify, weaken or combine the effects of their component nanoparticles. The effects of nanoparticle combinations are not a simple summation of the effects of their comnonent nanoparticles.展开更多

The effects of feedstock constitution, shear rate and temperature on apparent viscosity, shear stress and active energy were investigated. The viscose flow active energy of PEM feedstocks is 15.89~90.77 kJ/mol. Based on this research, the PEM technical parameters have optimized. [展开更多

The Bingham fluid model is introduced to fit the yielding stress and plastic viscosity of the mortar. The POWER LAW fluid model is introduced to fit the rheological index of the mortar. The results show that, adding limestone powder and fly ash to the cement mortar significantly decreases the yield stress of the mortar, changes the plastic viscosity of the mortar, increases the rheological index, decreases the degree of shear thinning of the mortar, and thereby improves the mortar' s workability. In the case of cement - fly ash mortar, with the increase of limestone powder content, both the yield stress and plastic viscosity of the mortar increase. When the limestone powder content is not higher than 14%, the increase of yield stress is not significant. When the limestone powder content is lower than 8%, the increase of plastic viscosity is not significant. When the content of limestone powder is higher than 22%, the rheological index of the mortar decreases and the degree of shear thinning increases. The effects of limestone powder' s packing density, shape and size, specific surface area, and fluid volume, are found to be the four major factors responsible for the changes ofrheological properties of the mortar.展开更多

The morphological behavior and mechanical properties of BPPC were also studied. Results showed that the optimum recipe for composite materials is composed of 70% of polycaprolactone, 30% of bamboo powder according to volume, 1.6 % of aluminate coupling agent, 1.2% of stearic acid, and 2% of paraffin to bamboo powder according to mass ratio. The optimum processing condition parameters were determined as the rotational speed at 50 r·min-1 and the temperature at 100oC for BPPC. The BPPC (containing 30 copies bamboo powder) possessed eminent interfacial compatibility and mechanical properties of BPPC.展开更多
