This paper presents a 2-D rigid-flexible coupling model to calculate the vehicle's dynamic responses in that period. The vehicle was equivalent to a flexure beam with axial deformation. Hybrid coordinate and modal superposition methods were used to describe its large rigid displacement and small deformation. By the second Lagrange equation, the vehicle centroid's displacements, rotational angle and modal coordinates were chosen as generalized coordinates and then the vehicle 's rigid-flexible coupling dynamic equations were obtained. By numerical simulation, the results of vehicle's motion parameters and transverse internal loads were acquired. The calculation results showed that differences of the vehicle's motion parameters between the rigid-flexible coupling model and the rigid body assumption are noticeable and the peak magnitude of the vehicle's transverse internal loads in the rigid-flexible coupling model is higher remarkably than that in the rigid body assumption.展开更多

The coupling simulation was performed in a fluid and solid domains under three different fouling conditions: fouling inside the tube, fouling outside the tube, and fouling inside the shell. The flow field, temperature, and pressure distributions in the heat exchanger were solved numerically to analyze the heat transfer performance parameters, such as thermal resistance. It is found that the pressure drop of the heat exchanger and the thermal resistance of the tube wall increase by nearly 30% and 20%, respectively, when the relative fouling thickness reaches 10%. The fouling inside the tube has more impact on the heat transfer performance of the heat exchanger, and the fouling inside the shell has less impact.展开更多

The former is all composed by rigid bodies while in the later model, the flexible rear suspension is built based on the finite element method (FEM) and mode superposition method, in which the deformations of the components are considered. The ride simulations with different speeds are carried out on a 3D digitalized road, and the weighted root mean square (RMS) of accelerations on the seat surface, backrest and at the feet are calculated. The comparison between the responses of the rigid and rigid-flexible coupling multibody models shows that the flexibility of the vehicle parts significantly affects the accelerations at each position, and it is necessary to take the flexibility effects into account for the assessment of ride comfort. The meshing state of conjugate and non-conjugate surfaces is analyzed through computation of contact lines and points. It is concluded that the meshing of conjugate CGC is line-contact, there are several pairs of teeth engage simultaneously, and non-conjugate CGC has point-contact condition of meshing and only 2 pairs of teeth engage in theory.展开更多

That is, the two schemes support common wave solutions with group velocity pointed into the computation domain. The key to eliminate local coupling instability is to avoid such wave solutions. For lumped-mass finite element simulation of P-SV wave motion in a 2D waveguide, an approach for stable implementation of high order multi-transmitting formula is provided. With a uniform rectangular mesh, it is proven and validated that high-freqaency local coupling instability can be eliminated by setting the ratio of the element size equal to or greater than x/2 times the ratio of the P wave velocity to the S wave velocity. These results can be valuable for dealing instability problems induced by other absorbing boundary conditions.展开更多

Firstly, a spatial beam element model for finite element analysis is established. Then, the differential equation of motion of beam element is derived based on finite element method. The kinematic constraints of parallel manipulator with rigid and flexible links are obtained by analyzing the motive parameters of moving platform and the relationships of movements of kinematic chains, and the overall kinetic equation of the parallel mechanism with rigid and flexible links is derived by assembling the differential equations of motion of components. On the basis of abovementioned analyses, the dynamic mechanical analysis of the spatial parallel manipulator with rigid and flexible links is conducted. After obtaining the method for force analysis and expressions for the calculation of dynamic stress of flexible components, the dynamic analysis and simulation of spatial parallel manipulator with rigid and flexible links is performed. The result shows that because of the elastic deformation of flexible components in the parallel mechanism with rigid and flexible links, the force on each component in the mechanism fluctuates sharply, and the change of normal stress at the root of drive components is also remarkable. This study provides references for further studies on the dynamic characteristics of parallel mechanisms with rigid and flexible links and for the optimization of the design of the mechanism.展开更多

The general principles of protein structure that underlie this process remain unknown. Statistical coupling analysis (SCA) is a statistical technique that uses evolutionary data of a protein family to measure correlation between distant functional sites and suggests allosteric communication. In proteins, very distant and small interactions between collections of amino acids provide the communication which can be important for signaling process. In this paper, we present the SCA of protein alignment of the esterase family (pfam ID: PF00756) containing the sequence of antigen 85C secreted by Mycobacterium tuberculosis to identify a subset of interacting residues. Clustering analysis of the pairwise correlation highlighted seven important residue positions in the esterase family alignments. These resi-dues were then mapped on the crystal structure of antigen 85C (PDB ID: 1DQZ). The mapping revealed corre-lation between 3 distant residues (Asp38, Leu123 and Met125) and suggests allosteric communication between them. This information can be used for a new drug against this fatal disease.展开更多

文摘In order to present a dynamic analysis method for the rigid-flexible coupled bar linkage system(RFCBLS),the flexible element motion equation was gotten by Lagrange Equation and the rigid element motion equation was gotten based on rigid constraint conditions. The multi-body system(MBS) is a complex mechanism and its components have quite different rigidities. If it is considered as a rigid MBS(RMBS) to do its dynamic analysis, elastic deformation's ignorance will lead to inaccurate analysis. If it is considered as a flexible MBS(FMBS) to establish, analyze, and solve the model, quite large system equations make it difficult to solve. The better method is as follows:the complex mechanism system is regarded as a rigid-flexible coupled system(RFCS) to make dynamic characteristic of rigid components be equivalent, system equation is established by FMBS' way,and system equation dimensions are reduced by transition matrices' introduction.A dynamic analysis method for rigid element and flexible element coupling was presented based on the FMBS.The analyzed crank slide-block mechanism results show that the dynamic analysis method for RFCBLS is quick and convenient.
文摘In order to meet the urgent need for diversified and multi-functional deployable antennas in many major national aerospace projects, such as interstellar exploration, the fourth phase of lunar exploration project, and the industrial application of Bei Dou,a deployable antenna structure composed of hexagonal prism and pentagonal prism modules is proposed.Firstly, the arrangement and combination rules of pentagonal prism and hexagonal prism modules on the plane were analyzed.Secondly, the spatial geometric model of the deployable antenna composed of pentagonal prism and hexagonal prism modules was established. The influence of module size on the antenna shape was then analyzed, and the kinematic model of the deployable antenna established by coordinate transformation. Finally, the above model was verified using MATLAB software. The simulation results showed that the proposed modular deployable antenna structure can realize accurate connection between modules, complete the expected deployment and folding functional requirements. It is hoped that this research can provide reference for the basic research and engineering application of deployable antennas in China.

文摘The deep rock mass within coal mines situated in a challenging environment are characterized by high ground stress, high geotemperature, high osmotic water pressure, and dynamic disturbances from mechanical excavation. To investigate the impact of this complex mechanical environment on the dynamic characteristics of roof sandstone in self-formed roadways without coal pillars, standard specimens of deep sandstone from the 2611 upper tunnel working face of the Yongmei Company within the Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group in Henan,China were prepared, and an orthogonal test was designed.Using a self-developed geotechnical dynamic impact mechanics test system, triaxial dynamic impact tests under thermal-hydraulicmechanical coupling conditions were conducted on deep sandstone. The results indicate that under high confining pressure, deep sandstone exhibits pronounced brittle failure at low temperatures, with peak strength gradually decreasing as temperature and osmotic water pressure increase.Conversely, under low confining pressure and low temperature, the brittleness of deep sandstone weakens gradually, while ductility increases. Moreover, sandstone demonstrates higher peak strength at low temperatures under high axial pressure conditions, lower peak strength at high temperatures, and greater strain under low axial pressure and high osmotic water pressure.Increases in impact air pressure and osmotic water pressure have proportionally greater effects on peak stress and peak strain.Approximately 50%of the input strain energy is utilized as effective energy driving the sandstone fracture process.Polar analysis identifies the optimal combination of factors affecting the peak stress and peak strain of sandstone.Under the coupling effect, intergranular and transgranular fractures occur within the sandstone.SEM images illustrate that the damage forms range from minor damage with multiple fissures to extensive fractures and severe fragmentation. This study elucidates the varied dynamic impact mechanical properties of deep sandstones under thermal-hydraulic-mechanical coupling, along with multifactor analysis methods and their optimal factor combinations.

文摘In the present research two different whole vehicle multibody models are established respectively, including rigid and rigid-flexible coupling multibody vehicle models. 文摘This paper presents an analysis result of three-dimensional meshing of crown gear coupling (CGC) surfaces of crown gear and internal gear are established. The equation of internal gear surface is given. The equation of conjugate surface of crown gear is solved according to the principle of gearing, and that of non-conjugate crown gear is derived with crown curve of a circular arc. The meshing state of conjugate and non-conjugate surfaces is analyzed through computation of contact lines and points. It is concluded that the meshing of conjugate CGC is line-contact, there are several pairs of teeth engage simultaneously, and non-conjugate CGC has point-contact condition of meshing and only 2 pairs of teeth engage in theory.

文摘Local coupling instability will occur when the numerical scheme of absorbing boundary condition and that of the field wave equation allow energies to spontaneously enter into the computational domain. These results can be valuable for dealing instability problems induced by other absorbing boundary conditions.

文摘The dynamics of spatial parallel manipulator with rigid and flexible links is explored. This study provides references for further studies on the dynamic characteristics of parallel mechanisms with rigid and flexible links and for the optimization of the design of the mechanism.

文摘A barrier-free wheelchair robot with a mechanism coupled by wheel and track is presen- ted in this paper. Using the wheelchair, the lower limb disabled persons could be more relaxed to take part in outdoor activities whether on flat ground or stairs and obstacles in the city. The wheel- track coupling mechanism is designed and the stability of the bodywork of the wheelchair robot on the stairs is analyzed. In order to obtain the stability of wheelchair robot when it climbs obstacles, centroid projection method is applied to analyze the static stability, stability margin is proposed to provide the stability under some dynamic forces, and the push rod rotation angle in terms of the guaranteed stability margin is given. Finally, the dynamic model of the wheelchair robot based on Lagrange equation is established, which can be a theoretical foundation for the wheelchair control system design.
文摘A fundamental goal in cellular signaling is to understand allosteric communication, the process by which sig-nals originating at one site in a protein propagate reliably to affect distant functional sites. This information can be used for a new drug against this fatal disease.

文摘In the core of a molten salt fast reactor(MSFR),heavy metal fuel and fission products can be dissolved in a molten fluoride salt to form a eutectic mixture that acts as both fuel and coolant.Fission energy is released from the fuel salt and transferred to the second loop by fuel salt circulation. Therefore, the MSFR is characterized by strong interaction between the neutronics and the thermal hydraulics. Moreover, recirculation flow occurs, and nuclear heat is accumulated near the fertile blanket, which significantly affects both the flow and the temperature fields in the core.In this work,to further optimize the conceptual geometric design of the MSFR,three geometries of the core and fertile blanket are proposed, and the thermal-hydraulic characteristics, including the three-dimensional flow and temperature fields of the fuel and fertile salts, are simulated and analyzed using a coupling scheme between the open source codes OpenMC and OpenFOAM.The numerical results indicate that a flatter core temperature distribution can be obtained and the hot spot and flow stagnation zones that appear in the upper and lower parts of the core center near the reflector can be eliminated by curving both the top and bottom walls of the core. Moreover, eight cooling loops with a total flow rate of0.0555 m3 s-1 ensur an acceptable temperature distribusure an acceptable temperature distribution in the fertile blanket.
