Application Strategy of BIM Technology in Municipal Road Design

The development of information technology provides certain convenient conditions in the design of municipal roads,and allow the achievements of high standards and requirements of current road design and construction.Among many information technologies,building information modeling(BIM)technology is more widely used in road design and has achieved good results.BIM technology can realize information sharing,allow the design of virtual models,discover design problems in time,and reduce the rate of design changes later or in late stage.At the same time,through the coordination and standardization of the design of road traffic and underground pipelines,it provides new design ideas for the development of municipal roads.This paper mainly analyzes the application advantages and status of BIM technology in municipal road design,and puts forward the application strategy of municipal road design.

Application Strategy of Green Transportation Concept in Urban Road Design

Urban traffic and urban environmental pollution are important issues that must be taken into account in the process of urbanization,especially in China.Modernization has enabled many developed countries in the west to carry out rational city traffic planning.At the same time,the concept of green transportation has also emerged,integrating low-energy consumption,low pollution,comfort,and safety into urban traffic to effectively solve issues pertaining to traffic and pollution.The concept of green transportation has been widely adopted in China and made popular in many cities,thereby promoting the sustainable development of cities.

The Application of“Humanized”Concept in Urban Road Design

In order to promote the development of urban roads,enhance urban road design,and fully maximize the role of urban roads,this study first discusses the fundamental requirements of urban road design,the“humanized”concept in urban road design,and the importance of“humanized”urban road design,as well as proposes several“humanized”design strategies for urban roads as references.

Application of Digital Technology in Road and Bridge Design

With the development and progress of science and technology,road and bridge design has experienced rapid development,from the initial manual drawing design to the popularity of Computer-Aided Design(CAD),and then to today’s digital software design era.Early designers relied on hand-drawn paper design forms which was time-consuming and error-prone.Digital support for road and bridge design not only saves the design time but the design quality has also achieved a qualitative leap.This paper engages in the application of digital technology in road and bridge design,to provide technical reference for China’s road and bridge engineering design units,to promote the popularity of Civil3D and other advanced design software in the field of engineering design and development,ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of China’s road and bridge engineering.

Determination of Main Design Indicators of Patrol Road in Nature Reserves

In principle,nature reserves are managed and controlled according to the core area and the general control area.At present,there is no relevant design specification for the design system of patrol road in various protected areas.This paper analyzed the factors to be considered in determining the grade,horizontal and vertical design indicators,and cross section indicators of the patrol road in the protected area,and came up with the corresponding design indicators and parameters,so as to provide a certain reference for the subsequent patrol road design.

Study on the Design of Urban Sidewalk——A Case Study of the West Renmin Road in Changsha City of China

Contents of urban road landscapes were introduced from 3 perspectives of natural landscape elements,constructed landscape elements and historic landscape elements,and functions of urban road landscapes analyzed.Sidewalk of the West Renmin Road in Changsha City of Hunan Province was taken for example to elaborate design principles of urban sidewalk landscapes.It was proposed that urban cultures and local spirits have various connotations,such as historic traditions,environment background and neighboring objects,which are maintained in the memories of local residents in the form of historic relics,traditions,spirits,concepts and folk customs.These cultures and spirits are passed down from generation to generation and can be found in all corners of streets and lanes,but cannot be simply replaced by sculptures or garden settings.The fever of large-scale artificial sculpture in present construction of urban public spaces in China was criticized.

Road Greenbelt Design of Zhangye City

Road greenbelt design is one of the important parts in urban road system.Zhangye City's road greenbelt design,relying on the general planning concept,namely,'water leads to green space,green space blends the city',emphasizes the harmonious relation between the greenbelt and ecological environment.The concept is adopted to guide the green design of the major roads,subsidiary roads,and trunk roads.It will offer some references for the similar engineering design.

A Review of the DCP-DN Pavement Design Method for Low Volume Sealed Roads: Development and Applications

Widespread implementation of the DCP-DN design method for low volume roads has been promoted internationally over the past decade or so. The method has progressed from a simple determination of the in situ CBR investigation based on DCP-CBR correlations with respective cover requirements to a more sophisticated method using the DCP penetration data directly and omitting any need to use correlations with the CBR. This paper summarises the development of the method, and some of its advantages and compares the design structures with other recognised and widely implemented designs.

Road Landscape Design in Newly-Developed Urban Districts——Using the City-West Harbor District of Jiujiang City as a Case Study

Problems existing in the road landscape design of newly-developed urban districts in China were analyzed,and improvement strategies proposed.By taking the City-West Harbor District in Jiujiang City for an example,road landscape designs for such newly-developed urban districts were further studied.

The Application of Curriculum Ideological and Political Cases in the Teaching of Road Survey and Design

This study combed the development process of urban road manhole cover at home and abroad,and pointed out the existing problems in the domestic manhole cover.From the perspective of safety and identification function,it put forward innovative design ideas of urban road manhole covers to improve the safety and identification function of road manhole covers,and enhance the ornamental of manhole covers.

Structural Design of Asphalt Pavement for Low Cost Rural Roads

On the basis of the equivalent axle load action frequency, the traffic classifications of rural roads as well as their corresponding types are classified. The asphalt pavement structure, road surface types and thickness of the rural roads are suggested for the various action frequency of the equivalent axle load. Furthermore, the roadbase thickness graphs are provided according to different equivalent axle load action frequency with different roadbed modulus and road surface modulus taken into account.

Accounting for natural-climatic conditions in the design of roads in western Siberia

The paper proposes a methodological scheme that thoroughly accounts for natural-climatic conditions which can impair the stability and longevity of transport facilities （roadways）, to ensure the best possible quality of the initial road design. Factors determining the formation of water-heating mode subgrade soils are allocated, and an information database for mathematical modeling of geocomplexes is shown. Values of strength and deformability of clay soils are calculated within the limits of the defined, homogeneous road districts in Western Siberia to provide the required level of reliability of design solutions.

装配式临时预制混凝土板路面优化计算及应用研究

采用装配式预制混凝土板作为临时道路路面,具有经济环保的优点。以不产生疲劳断裂作为设计标准和不产生极限断裂作为验算标准,针对路面板的厚度、配筋和混凝土标号等主要参数进行优化计算分析,获得满足临时道路路面条件下最优的装配式预制混凝土板尺寸及材料参数。阐述了装配式预制混凝土板路面在施工道路建设及维护中的优点,并基于现场实际工程应用,介绍了具体的施工技术要点和工艺,实现了施工效率、施工质量与经济效益的全面提升,达到安全可靠、经济适用和绿色环保的目的。

Sustainability of lime stabilized road subgrade in mountainous regions of Türkiye

In this paper the use of lime stabilized subgrade for low volume roads in two regions with high mountains and different frost penetration conditions in Türkiye was investigated in terms of design,performance,and cost.Pavements on unstabilized and stabilized subgrade were designed for two regions(Izmir and Van),covering all climate variations.The resilient modulus of the lime stabilized subgrade with different soil pulverization levels for non-freezing and freezing conditions were taken from a previous laboratory study.Frost effects were considered in pavement design using two different approaches,including limited subgrade frost penetration method and reduced subgrade strength method.Detailed application and evaluation were performed for all steps.Lime stabilized subgrades significantly reduced the thickness of base courses,and the benefit of lime stabilization was highly dependent on soil pulverization level.A detailed cost analysis on the unstabilized and stabilized cases found that the use of lime stabilization in the subgrade provided significant initial cost savings.Comparative analysis by using the AASHTO(1993)method and KENPAVE software,and quantity effect of soil pulverization level on the performance of low volume roads from a service life perspective,show that subgrade resilient modulus can be estimated.It is also possible to make correct performance estimation in the field.The results of the study show that lime stabilization is a good solution for low volume roads in the mountainous regions of Türkiye.

Power InRoads在水利水电工程道路设计中的应用研究

三维协同设计越来越广泛地应用到水利水电工程中,但是,目前水利水电工程施工道路的设计还主要依靠专业道路设计软件纬地或海地,且已逐渐不能满足三维协同设计发展的需要。对Bentley旗下的Power InRoads道路设计模块在水利水电工程中的应用做了初步尝试,从DTM建立、几何线性设计、横断面模板设计以及成果输出等几个方面分析了PowerInRoads存在的优缺点。随着三维协同设计在水利水电行业逐步深入,以及Power InRoads软件逐步完善,Power-InRoads在水利水电道路设计中应用前景广泛。

This paper proposed through systematic analysis that road tail gas is an important source of PM2.5,and elaborated the infl uence of urban road space forms and road landscapes on urban microclimate,on the basis of which gave corresponding landscape design suggestions for PM2.5 control.

Pengshui County in Chongqing was taken for example to explore renovation design methods,overall concepts and relevant contents of the road landscaping in old districts of mountainous cities,so as to provide references for the renovation design of road landscaping in old districts of modern mountainous cities.
