Acoustic mode is crucial for duct propagation but little study about the relation between serration and mode. Thus, taking axial single-turbine test bench NPU-Turb as object, the effect of Stator with Serrated Trailing-edge (Bionic S) and Rotor with Serrated Leading-edge (Bionic R) on duct acoustic modes of turbine turbulence interac-tion noise were studied in detail using DDES/AA hybrid model validated by acoustic experiment of NPU-Turb. Serval conclusions can be made here. First, for broadband noise, the effect of serrations on duct modes (increased or reduced of PWLmn) with the increasing frequency is more prominent. Second, the changing trend of ?PWLmn is something like Chinese character “人” with circumferential mode m and alternating with radial mode. Such distribution is more obvious at higher frequency. More theoretical and mechanistic research work needs to be carried out in depth in the future. .展开更多

First, the acoustic match mode principle between the source modes of rotor stator interaction noise and the propagation modes is presented in this paper. Second, by utilizing this principle, the theoretical prediction method for rotor stator interaction noise generation and its propagation and attenuation in an annular duct with multi treatments is developed. That means that the prediction of sound propagation and attenuation in the segmented ducts might no longer completely depend on the in duct mode measurements, and the investigation on the sound propagation and attenuation in ducts can be accomplished not only by acoustic mode measurement, but also by making use of the source prediction to determine the source modes excited by rotor stator interaction. The effects of fan speed, blade/vane numbers, axial spacing between rotor and stator on the in duct sound attenuation and generated sound power level before and after ducts (also including the sound power level of blade passing frequency and its harmonics at the inlet of ducts) have been numerically calculated by using this prediction method. The reliability of this prediction method is verified by reasonable agreement between the predicted results with measured results in references. By analyzing the results of calculating cases, some reference criteria are provided for the engineering design of the suppressing engine nacelle.展开更多

For the existing IMM filtering theory, the matrix Q is determined by means of design experience, but Q is actually changed with the state of the maneuvering target. Meanwhile it is severely influenced by the environment around the target, i.e., it is a variable of time. Therefore, the experiential covariance Q can not represent the influence of state noise in the maneuvering process exactly. Firstly, it is assumed that the evolved state and the initial conditions of the system can be modeled by using Gaussian distribution, although the dynamic system is of a nonlinear measurement equation, and furthermore the EM algorithm based on IMM filtering with the Q identification online is proposed. Secondly, the truncated error analysis is performed. Finally, the Monte Carlo simulation results are given to show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing algorithms and the tracking precision for the maneuvering targets is improved efficiently.展开更多

The rod-airfoil configuration is used to investigate the interactive phenomenon experimentally and nu- merically. Distribution of unsteady pressure on the airfoil surface is measured for different rod positions and airfoil attack angles. Two National Advisory Committee for Aeronatics (NACA) airfoils, NACA0012 and NACA0018, and two wind turbine airfoils, S809 and S825 are investigated. In addition, for low angles of attack, the flow field around the airfoil's leading edge is investigated with the particle image velocimetry (PIV). The experimental results indicate that unsteady pressure disturbances on the airfoil surface are related to the rod vortex shedding. Meanwhile, the interaction flow field of the rod and NACA0012 airfoil is simulated with the unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes method (URANS), and the obtained pressure spectra are compared with the experimental results.展开更多

The only external forces considered in our system were the load, the random thermal noise and an unbiased thermal fluctuation. We observe differences in the dynamic behaviour if hydrodynamic interactions are considered as compared with the case without them. In conclusion, hydrodynamic interactions influence substantially the dynamics of a ratchet dimer Brownian motor;consequently they have to be considered in any theory where the molecular motors are in a liquid medium.展开更多
