The quality of the blade grinding is directly related to the size of the cutting force, the cutting edge of tobacco shreds and the breaking rate, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to study the relationship between surface roughness and relevant parameters such as cutter roller speed, grinding wheel reciprocating speed, grinding wheel grinding radius and grinding wheel abrasive grain size. 展开更多

Leather,which is regularly tanned from whole hides of up to 5 m 2,needs a constant thickness over the entire surface in order to be processed into high-quality consumer goods such as shoes,furniture and car interiors.Precise adjustment of the thickness is achieved by shaving.On an industrial scale,rotating knife rollers are used to remove chips from the flesh side of semi-finished leathers whereby adjusting the specified thickness and generating a smooth surface.Care must be taken to prevent the temperature from rising above the denaturation temperature of the leather during shaving in order to avoid any loss of quality.Beside this,temperature rise is always a sign of friction showing avoidable energy expenditure.In order to localize the source of friction during shaving,actual temperature development at the roller knife is studied.Different measuring methods are used to evaluate the temperature increase at the blade roll of the shaving machine.The finite element method is used to thermally simulate the process.Measured temperatures,the geometry of the blade roll and process data are taken into account for modelling the temperature development close to the blade edge.The obtained results enhance the understanding of temperature generating processes during machine operation and allow conclusions about potential improvements in the design of the machine and blades. 展开更多

In order to improve the effective recovery of straw,a new type of straw picking and cutting device was designed.A new type of roller moving knife mechanism was used which can realize simultaneous picking and cutting.A hammer claw was used to pick up and cut straw for the first time,and a roller moving knife was used to cut straw for the second time.ANSYS software was used to conduct static and modal analyses of the moving roller shaft and optimize the structure of the cutting part and the staggered arrangement of hammer claw.The first-order resonance frequency of the hammer claw shaft is 205.84 Hz,and the first-order natural frequency of the pulling roller moving knife mechanism is 214.35 Hz,which can avoid resonance and realize efficient picking and cutting of straw. 展开更多
