The concept of rural tourist resources was introduced to analyze the present rural tourism development in Shaanxi Province,tourist resources in its rural areas were investigated comprehensively,structures,quantity and...The concept of rural tourist resources was introduced to analyze the present rural tourism development in Shaanxi Province,tourist resources in its rural areas were investigated comprehensively,structures,quantity and quality of 7 major types of both natural and cultural tourist resources were evaluated,and resource combinations were also analyzed from the perspective of geological location.Characteristics and advantages of rural tourist resources in Shaanxi Province were summarized as "abundant,diversified and high-quality";rural cultural tourist resources took the Absolute predominance and had great development potentials;cultural tourist resources such as folk cultures had distinctive regional features;rural natural tourist resources had obvious regional characteristics;resources were reasonably combined,each resource region had its own features.This study aimed at providing scientific support for the development,planning and protection of rural tourist resources in Shaanxi Province.展开更多

After several studies revealed spatial differentiation of touristization among rural settlements, studies were conducted to explain this phenomenon. However, most of these studies explained spatial differentiation of rural touristization in a qualitative way. More robust and detailed quantitative results are needed to evaluate the relative roles of different factors. In this study, which takes Yesanpo tourism as a case study, the Geo-detector method was introduced to evaluate determining factors of rural touristization. Results show that "distance to core entry", "tourist number and sojourn time", and "distance to the nearest scenic area" have had a strong effect on the rural touristization in Ye- sanpo, whereas "distance to river", "elevation", "distance to main road", and "slope" have had a weak influence. The latter did, however, contribute a lot to touristization when interacting with "distance to core entry", "tourist number and sojourn time", and "distance to the nearest scenic", indicating the importance of these four factors. Higher rural touristization occurred in the zone near the core entry, with many tourists, long sojourn times, and proximity to the scenic area.展开更多

To further promote rural tourism brand of Suzhou and enhance its competitiveness,tourist source market of rural tourism in Suzhou City was analyzed through questionnaire survey from the perspectives of demographic fea...To further promote rural tourism brand of Suzhou and enhance its competitiveness,tourist source market of rural tourism in Suzhou City was analyzed through questionnaire survey from the perspectives of demographic features and behavioral characteristics of tourists.Moreover,significance of service items and tourists' satisfaction on these items were investigated from the perspectives of scenic area management,traffic conditions,accommodation services,hygienic conditions,commodity price,infrastructure,guide services,food and recreational activities.Through sorting out statistics obtained in the investigation,corresponding marketing strategies were proposed.First,orientation of rural tourism market should be defined,local tourist source market taken as the principal one,especially tourists from the middle-class and upper-class.Second,rural cultural connotations should be further explored to build villages of dominant cultures and bring new ideas to traditional festivals.Third,integrated marketing should be introduced to the promotion of rural tourism,marketing channels further integrated,and online marketing of rural tourism enhanced.展开更多
