An Interview-Based Study of the Factors Influencing the Quality of Professional Training of Science Education Graduates

The proposal of the strategy of developing the country through science education has clarified China’s demand for the development of the science and education industry and the cultivation of science and education talents,and the birth of Science Education majors is an important link in the cultivation of scientific literacy.Based on the grounded theory,we interviewed three Science Education graduates from a university and coded the interview data by using NVivo 12.0 to find eight important factors affecting their professional training and employment choices.The factors are“social factors,”“individual career choice factors,”“campus resources,”“employment advantages,”“professional self-development,”“teacher factors,”“planning for further education and employment,”and“student motivation.”This study analyzes the interaction between the influencing factors,constructs a theoretical model of the influencing factors of the quality of Science Education professional training,explores the problems of the training process of Science Education majors and employment dilemmas,and puts forward corresponding suggestions.

Practice and Thinking on the Construction of Agricultural Science and Education Cooperative Personnel Cultivation Base

Agricultural science and education cooperative personnel cultivation base is a new personnel cultivation platform built by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Education relying on the national modern agricultural industry technology system,to strengthen the close connection between agricultural education and modern agricultural industry. The first batch of agricultural science and education cooperative personnel cultivation bases have been operating for 5 years. Taking Zhanjiang Litchi-Longan Agricultural Science and Education Cooperative Personnel Cultivation Base as an example,it introduced the achievements in the base construction from the perspective of construction cooperators,and discussed measures for improving the base operation.

Second Group of National Human Rights Education and Training Bases Established

The Ministry of Education and the State Council Information Office on July 22 announced the second group of national human rights education and training bases, in- cluding the Human Rights Research Center at Renmin University of China, the Human Rights Research Center at Fudan University, the Human Rights Research Academy at Wuhan University, the Human Rights Research Center at Shandong University and the Human Rights Education and Research Center at the Southwest University of Politica~ Science arid Law.

Continuity of Natural Science Education in the System of“School-University”

At the present time,new state compulsory standards for school education,standard curricula,and curricula have been developed.The programs of higher and postgraduate education do not take into account changes in educational curricula of secondary education.The future specialists of pedagogical universities are teachers of the school.Therefore,graduates of universities on pedagogical specialties,including scientific direction,should be profoundly aware of the content of subjects studied in secondary education.It is very important to understand the need to ensure the continuity of educational curricula of higher pedagogical and general secondary education in conditions of updating the content of education.The relevance of the research topic is due to the lack of continuity in the educational programs of higher pedagogical and general secondary education in conditions of updating the content of education;discrepancy of professional competences of young pedagogical staff,graduates of higher educational institutions,to the conditions of the updated content of school education;the lack of fundamental and applied research to date,considering the theoretical and methodological foundations for ensuring the continuity of natural science education in the“school-university”system in the context of updating the content of education;the need for the research in the context of the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2016-2019,which indicates an increase in the prestige of the profession of teachers and an increase in their quality.These theoretical and methodological bases for ensuring the continuity of educational programs of higher pedagogical and secondary education in conditions of updating the content of education will make it possible to introduce changes in the educational curricula of higher and postgraduate education for the training of pedagogical personnel.

Cultivation of Innovation Ability of Students in the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering from the Perspective of Engineering Professional Certification

Cultivating the top-notch innovative talents is an essential task for connotative construction of higher education.As an applicationoriented discipline,the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering attaches great importance to the cultivation of innovation ability of college students.For a long time,however,the discipline education has problems of the inverted teaching subject position,weak coordination ability and single practice mode.The support for the cultivation of innovation ability is weak and ineffective.Therefore,in the context of professional certification of engineering education,it is necessary to make reform of traditional education mode and improve the carrier support and target acquisition taking the Outcomes-based Education(OBE)as guide,the innovation ability cultivation as objective,to provide effective guarantee for cultivation of the top-notch talents.These have become issues that should not be ignored in the development of the Discipline of Food Science and Engineering.

Evaluation of Clinician Training in Autism Screening, Care Management, and Patient Education

Objective: The demand for pediatric developmental evaluations has far exceeded the workforce available to perform them, which creates long significant wait times for services. A year-long clinician training using the Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO®) model with monthly meetings was conducted and evaluated for its impact on primary care clinicians’ self-reported self-efficacy, ability to administer autism screening and counsel families, professional fulfillment, and burnout. Methods: Participants represented six community health centers and a hospital-based practice. Data collection was informed by participant feedback and the Normalization Process Theory via online surveys and focus groups/interviews. Twelve virtual monthly trainings were delivered between November 2020 and October 2021. Results: 30 clinicians participated in data collection. Matched analyses (n = 9) indicated statistically significant increase in self-rated ability to counsel families about autism (Pre-test Mean = 3.00, Post-test Mean = 3.89, p = 0.0313), manage autistic patients’ care (Pre-test Mean = 2.56, Post-test Mean = 4.11, p = 0.0078), empathy toward patients (Pre-test Mean = 2.11, Post-test Mean = 1.22, p = 0.0156) and colleagues (Pre-test Mean = 2.33, Post-test Mean = 1.22, respectively, p = 0.0391). Unmatched analysis revealed increases in participants confident about educating patients about autism (70.59%, post-test n = 12 vs. 3.33%, pre-test n = 1, p = 0.0019). Focus groups found increased confidence in using the term “autism”. Conclusion: Participants reported increases in ability and confidence to care for autistic patients, as well as empathy toward patients and colleagues. Future research should explore long-term outcomes in participants’ knowledge retention, confidence in practice, and improvements to autism evaluations and care.

Discussion on Construction and Mechanism of Practice Bases for Professional Degree Postgraduates Based on the Integration of Production and Education in Local Universities

Under the background of emerging agricultural education,practice bases are an important place to train profession talented person that match social needs,so it is very important to build stable and long-term practice bases.At present,the main problems in the construction of practice bases for postgraduates in local colleges and universities are mainly focusing on construction and neglecting management,imperfect cooperation mechanism and lack of teaching management effectively.It is of great significance to build a long-term management mechanism to ensure the education quality of practice bases.Therefore,constructing the mode of"double integration and double promotion of production and education"with practice bases as the carrier and realizing the organic combination of industrial needs and postgraduate projects is an important idea for local colleges and universities to train professional degree postgraduates to"know agriculture,love agriculture,strengthen agriculture and promote agriculture",and it also provides a reference for the mechanism construction of postgraduate bases.

The modern medical education system has gradually evolved starting from 1910 incorporating the suggestions by Abraham Flexner,his public disclosure of the poor conditions at many medical schools provided a means to galvanize all the constituencies needed for reform to occur.He could say what other reformers could not,due to their links to the medical education community.But now we are again going back to a pre-Flexnerian state due to multiple reasons such as gradually diminishing importance of basic science subjects for the students,the decline in the number and quality of investigator initiated research among clinical researchers,lesser emphasis to bedside training by means of detailed clinical examination and making appropriate observation of signs to reach to a diagnosis rather than over reliance on the laboratory tests and radiological modalities for the diagnosis,poor exposure to basic clinical skills starting from college throughout residency and the trend of disrespect and absenteeism from both theoretical and clinical/practical classes.The attitude of students is just to complete their required attendance so that they are not barred from appearing in examinations.This de-Flexnerization trend and regression to pre-Flexnerian era standards,ideologies,structures,processes,and attitudes,are bound to beget pre-Flexnerian outcomes,for you get what you designed for.

Research on Training Base’s Expansion of Scientific Popularization Function in Higher Vocational Colleges

Based on the needs of regional industrial development and technical personnel training,the training base for technical skill as the core function has effectively enhanced the development of vocational education.However,at present,the training base in vocational colleges is mainly applied for students’teaching,and the overall utilization rate is low.It is of great importance in the rational application of software and hardware resources onto the training base to widely carry out popular science activities.The importance of training base construction and scientific popularization is expounded.On this basis,the research team took the S&T racing training base as a case to study its expandable scientific popularization function.The practice results show that using the resources of the training base to carry out scientific popularization activities can greatly improve teenagers’interest in automobile technology.More training bases in vocational colleges should expand the function of scientific popularization.

本科生导师制助推拔尖创新人才培养的探索与实践——以中南大学物理学院为例

应用型高校“双创”教育实践基地建设方略

高校“双创”教育实践基地是服务学生、服务教学的创新创业教育及实践软硬环境,其建设集人、项目、管理为一体,是增强大学生综合能力的重要教育环节,也是新时代培养创新型人才、构建创新型社会的重要载体。文章以应用型人才培养为视域,厘清应用型高校“双创”教育实践基地建设发展的现状、功能定位及发展困境,从确定有效目标、坚持开放发展、规范过程管理、有偿合理收费、实现特色发展等方面提出了提升基地建设及运行质量的基本理念,在此基础上从顶层设计、专创融合、校企协同、导师团队建设、创业资金、收费及使用模式、管理制度、管理服务体系等层面探索有效建设与发展路径。

“科教+产教”双驱动融合的计算机类研究生创新人才培养模式探索

面对传统科教与产教中计算机类研究生培养存在的耦合性不足,该文探索“科教+产教”双驱动融合视域下计算机类研究生创新人才培养模式。该模式从思想转变和理念建设、体系构建和规划、资源保障和人才培养三个层面提出总体框架,并针对性地提出多条具体举措,充分诠释“科教+产教”双驱动融合的教育理念,最后阐明所提出的创新人才培养模式的两点特色。研究成果能够在促进教育发展、推动科技创新的同时,成就更多适应新时代计算机类产业需求的高素质创新人才。

校企合作模式下基于OBE理念的实践类课程设计

基于成果导向教育(OBE)的课程设计理念,设计了“智慧电力工程训练营”实践课程的整体教学模式。该课程通过与ABB集团合作的形式,构建了具有实际工程意义的综合设计内容,并按照反向设计原则,对各个知识点进行综合整理,设计出2周的课程教学结构和课堂教学模式,逐步实现学生的最终学习目标。在此基础上,通过教学评价体系综合评定每位学生的最终成绩。该课程的教学模式及其实施路径对于本科实践类课程设计具有较好的借鉴和推广价值。

“智慧+”背景下畜牧兽医新农科人才培养与实施路径

培养出满足新时代要求的具有创新精神和实践能力的高水平能源动力类别研究生是我国早日实现“双碳”目标的迫切需求。构建产教融合联合培养基地,是深化产教融合、实现能源动力类别研究生教育高质量发展的关键环节。该文总结长安大学在能源动力类别(动力工程及电气工程)研究生培养中基于产教融合建设联合培养基地的模式及实践工作,提出软-硬件协同构建产教融合联合培养实践基地的理念,具体阐述该理念在动力工程及电气工程等能源动力类别研究生培养中的具体实践与应用,以期为能源动力类别研究生实践创新能力的培养提供参考。
