The research work has been done in the field of social and organizational psychology. It is aim to analyze the factors which influence the levels of satisfaction and achievement reached by those working for scientific organizations and their relationship with professional mobility (Andrews, Aichholzer, Cole, Mittermeir, Stole-Heiskanen, UNESCO--United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, 1971) [1]. A stratified sample was taken from universities and different disciplines, based on a population of teachers from the Cuyo region (N = 355 R + D-Research & Development Units) (5% error margin). At this first stage, the research teachers were from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (N = 53 Research Units): one chief or director and members. Quantitative techniques were used (two questionnaires). The results show that researchers' satisfaction at different levels is connected with professional mobility and disciplinary fields. Regarding leadership, and considering professional mobility, a general feeling of satisfaction emerges among researchers, regardless of their disciplinary field. 展开更多

Purpose: The aim of this study is to develop and implement a quality-control system to ensure authority control of the different knowledge units for the Scientific & Technological Knowledge Organization Systems(STKOS).Design/methodology/approach: First, we analyzed quality-control requirements based on the construction of the STKOS Metathesaurus. Then we designed a quality-control framework, the task management and transfer mechanism, and a service model. Afterwards, we carried out the experiments to check the rules and algorithms used in the system. Finally, the system was developed, and gradually optimized during its service.Findings: The quality-control system supports collaborative knowledge construction, as well as consistency checks of knowledge units with different granularity levels, including terminologies, relationships, and concepts. The system can be flexibly configured.Research limitations: The system is oriented to an English-language knowledge organization system, and may not perform well with Chinese-language systems and ontologies.Practical implications: The system can be used to support the construction of a single knowledge organization system, as well as data warehousing and interoperable knowledge organization systems. Originality/value: The STKOS quality-control system not only focuses on content building for the knowledge system, but also supports collaborative task management. 展开更多

In France, the movement in favour of open access to scientific research output is getting increasingly coordinated and supported at the political level. The CNRS, a leading research organization in Europe and signatory of the Berlin Declaration, has an evident strategic role to play in this development. Various initiatives that have emerged in the French academic world in recent years have led, for example, in early 2005 to the joint announcement, by four major research institutions, of a common policy to promote open access to published material and other types of digital resources, and to set up institutional archives. The article highlights some key issues of this policy, gives an overview of the current and past CNRS involvement in open access and describes the principal functions, as well as the related challenges, of the future institutional repositories. 展开更多
