We analyse the use of the Sine Transform precondilioners for the solution of linear systems arising from the discretization of p.d.e. via the preconditioned conjugate gradient method. For the second-order partial differential equations with Dirichlel boundary conditions, we prove that the condition number of the preconditioned system is O(1) while the condition number of the original system is O(m 2) Here m is the number of interior gridpoints in each direction. Such condition number produces a linear convergence rale.展开更多

In the traditional research work, it is difficult to obtain closed-form solutions for the forced vibration when the damping effect and the coupling effect of multiple second-order models are considered. In this paper, Green's function method based on the Laplace transform is used to obtain closed-form solutions for the forced vibration of second-order axially moving systems. By taking the axially moving damping string system and multi-string system connected by springs as examples, the detailed solution methods and the analytical Green's functions of these second-order systems are given. The mode functions and frequency equations are also obtained by the obtained Green's functions. The reliability and convenience of the results are verified by several examples. This paper provides a systematic analytical method for the dynamic analysis of second-order axially moving systems, and the obtained Green's functions are applicable to different second-order systems rather than just string systems. In addition, the work of this paper also has positive significance for the study on the forced vibration of high-order systems.展开更多

Using the property of the affine transformation, this paper gives the sufficient and necessary conditions of achieving the affine localizability and extends it to the second-order condition. Under the(n + 1)-reachable condition of the given n-dimensional nominal formation with n + 1 leaders, a formation of agents can be reshaped in arbitrary dimension by only controlling these leaders. When the neighboring positions and velocities are available, a formation maneuver tracking control protocol with time-varying delays is constructed with the form of linear systems, where the tracking errors of the followers can be specified. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii stability theory, sufficient conditions to realize affine maneuvers are proposed and proved, and the unknown control gain matrix can be solved only by four linear matrix inequalities independent of the number of agents. Finally, corresponding simulations are carried out to verify the theoretical results, which show that these followers can track the time-varying references accurately and continuously.展开更多
