We propose and analyze a single-interval Legendre-Gauss-Radau(LGR)spectral collocation method for nonlinear second-order initial value problems of ordinary differential equations.We design an efficient iterative algor...We propose and analyze a single-interval Legendre-Gauss-Radau(LGR)spectral collocation method for nonlinear second-order initial value problems of ordinary differential equations.We design an efficient iterative algorithm and prove spectral convergence for the single-interval LGR collocation method.For more effective implementation,we propose a multi-interval LGR spectral collocation scheme,which provides us great flexibility with respect to the local time steps and local approximation degrees.Moreover,we combine the multi-interval LGR collocation method in time with the Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto collocation method in space to obtain a space-time spectral collocation approximation for nonlinear second-order evolution equations.Numerical results show that the proposed methods have high accuracy and excellent long-time stability.Numerical comparison between our methods and several commonly used methods are also provided.展开更多

It is shown that the problem is closely related to a type of so-called second-order Sylvester matrix equations. Through establishing two general parametric solutions to this type of matrix equations, two complete parametric methods for the proposed eigenstructure assignment problem are presented. Both methods give simple complete parametric expressions for the feedback gains and the closed-loop eigenvector matrices. The first one mainly depends on a series of singular value decompositions, and is thus numerically simple and reliable; the second one utilizes the right factorization of the system, and allows the closed-loop eigenvalues to be set undetermined and sought via certain optimization procedures. An example shows the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. There were three innovation points as follows: first of all,two key demands of apparel companies to existing brand value were summarized through investigation; then,the concept of rapid brand value evaluation and multi-dimensional factors( MDFs) was presented; finally,the relationship between apparel corporate brand value and the sales revenue in apparel market with the sales revenue was proven by empirical research.During the process of empirical study,the sales revenue data of 66 apparel enterprises domestic and abroad were collected,and the regression analysis has been done on the relationship between the corporate brand value and the apparel market sales revenue of apparel enterprise. The empirical research showed that they were positively correlated to each other. This conclusion presented a method of judging brand value development trend quickly by single indicator.展开更多

Normative interpretations often fall into circular and inadequate reasoning, while judges, the key figures in applying int...Criminal law interpretation in China faces two primary challenges in terms of value judgments. Normative interpretations often fall into circular and inadequate reasoning, while judges, the key figures in applying interpretive principles, frequently lack the necessary value judgment engagement and proficiency. Traditional criminal law interpretation is ensnared in a subjective-objective dichotomy, resulting in a misalignment with the aim of "legitimate and rational" interpretation practices in China. To rectify this, a philosophical shift is required to allow intersubjective value judgments while maintaining subjectivityobjectivity as the prerequisite. Criminal law interpretation ensures the completeness of value judgments through a combination of specialized knowledge and public discourse.This involves the creation of systematic criteria for value judgments and adherence to legal principles. The former necessitates defining the internal and external standards of value judgments, formulating rules for the resolution of conflicting standards, and underlining the practical importance of criminalization under law, or "no crime or punishment without law"(the principle that only the law can define a crime and prescribe a penalty) and "Where no law applies, it is permissible to redefine a crime as non-criminal or minor"(decriminalization).The latter involves three perspectives: logical reasoning and theoretical arguments;positive and negative judgments;and formal and substantive rationality.
