Like economic status, people's housing status is normally relatively stable and unlikely to significantly change in a short time span. But China is an exception as the past 30 years have witnessed tremendous institutional reform, particularly in the housing system.Almost overnight, public housing became privatized and the real estate market developed. This transformation also meant an abrupt change in the status of social groups in relation to housing-for the better or worse. From the social stratification perspective, this has also been an important period of reshaping social status. Thus,it is of great signif icance to study "housing status groups" during the transitional period to shed light on a myriad of social ills.展开更多

Under the bounded rationality, it would be reasonable to assume that one behaves according to the heuristics principle. The group identity effect in a social dilemma situation might be very important in order to attain cooperation. The aim of this study was to clarify how to promote a cooperative behavior by avoiding a social dilemma situation. The group heuristics was taken into account, and it was explored how the group heuristics promotes a cooperative behavior in a social dilemma situation. As a result of a two-person game theory experiment, the group heuristics was found to play an important role in a social dilemma situation, and enhance a cooperative behavior. For the following three cases, the higher cooperation rate was attained at the latter half of the experiment: (a) mutual in-group condition, (b) one-way in-group condition, and (f) one-way unknown condition (in-group). In conclusion, the consciousness of in-group membership might help to promote actively mutual cooperation.展开更多

Rural-urban land conversion is positively effective as far as social and economic benefits are concerned (Yang, 2002), but its negative effect is also evident, resulting in such problems as low efficiency of rural land configuration and loss of social welfare. Consequently, farm-ers should also have an equal chance to enjoy the social welfare enhanced by land conversion. Based on the theories of welfare economy, this paper puts forward policy suggestions by discussing the welfare changes of various interest groups, builds the model of welfare distribution, and analyzes the conditions of maximizing social welfare. The absolute and opposite value of social welfare is closely related with the speed of rural-urban land conversion, and governments should give farmers and collectives fair compensa-tion to make up for the utility loss caused by land expropriation, which are conclusions drawn from this paper. This study aims to provide a theoretical basis for regulating targets and evaluation criteria, realizing the mechanism and implementation of public po-lices during rural-urban land conversion.展开更多

Compared to tropical habitats, northern gibbon habitats are characterized by low temperatures and remarkable seasonal variation in fruit abundance How gibbons adapt to their cold and seasonal habitats and what ecological factors affect their sociality are key questions for understanding their ecology and social system evolution, the elucidation of which will contribute to the conservation of these special populations/species. According to preliminary short-term studies, northern gibbons consume more leaves and use larger home ranges than tropical gibbons. Interestingly, some Nomascus groups consist of more than one adult female. However, these preliminary results are not well understood or incorporated into current socio-ecological theories regarding gibbon species. To better understand northern gibbons, our team has systematically studied three habituated groups of Nomascus concolor, three groups of N. nasutus, and two habituated groups of Hoolock tianxing since 2002. In this paper, we stress the challenges facing gibbons living in northern habitats and summarize their behavioral adaptations to their harsh environments. We also describe the northern gibbon social system and discuss the potential relationships between their ecology and sociality. For each criteria, at first, the total inconsistency between the rankings of all alternatives for the group and the ones for every decision maker is defined after the decision maker weights in respect to the criteria are considered. Similarly, the total inconsistency between their final rankings for the group and the ones under every criteria is determined after the criteria weights are taken into account. Then two nonlinear integer programming models minimizing respectively the two total inconsistencies above are developed and then transformed to two dynamic programming models to obtain separately the rankings of all alternatives for the group with respect to each criteria and their final rankings. A supplier selection case illustrated the proposed method, and some discussions on the results verified its effectiveness. This work develops a new measurement of ordinal preferences’ inconsistency in multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) and extends the cook-seiford social selection function to MCGDM considering weights of criteria and decision makers and can obtain unique ranking result.展开更多

文摘A method of minimizing rankings inconsistency is proposed for a decision-making problem with rankings of alternatives given by multiple decision makers according to multiple criteria. This work develops a new measurement of ordinal preferences’ inconsistency in multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) and extends the cook-seiford social selection function to MCGDM considering weights of criteria and decision makers and can obtain unique ranking result.

文摘There are some scenarios that need group recommendation such as watching a movie or a TV series, selecting a tourist destination,or having dinner together.Approaches in this domain can be divided into two categories:Creating group profiles and aggregating individual recommender list.Yet none of the above methods can handle the online group recommendation both efficiently and accurately and these methods either strongly limited by their application environment,or bring bias towards those users having limited connections with this group. In this work,we propose a local optimization framework, using sub-group profiles to compute the item relevance.Such method can captures and removes the bias existed in the traditional group recommendation algorithms in a certain degree. It can then be used to derive single-user recommendation. We also propose an approach to overcome the problem caused by dynamic change or user updating about his social network, which detects the target user’s group by analyzing the link types between he and his neighbours, and then use the group information to generate his recommendations.Experimental analysis for group and personal recommendation on three different sizes of MovieLens datasets show fairly good results, our method consistently outperform several state-of-the-arts in efficiency. And we also provide the explanations behind the phenomena during the experiments.
