Sequential Experiment Design Method Based on Uniformity and Distortion of Responses

With the development of modern electronic countermeasure technology,the fight between radar jamming and anti-jamming in aviation military has become increasingly fierce.There are some special requirements for radar countermeasure experiments.For example,such experiments are often divided into several stages,and responses of the previous stages will become factors of the next stages.Moreover,the experiment design can only consider some typical level values of the factors.However,the experiment factors are mostly continuous variables.Thus when there are some jumps in the response,and the value granularity of the factor level is large,the responses fail to reflect the distortion process,which makes it difficult to explore the radar performance boundary.Therefore,it is necessary to study the sequential experiment design method with the optimization goals of response uniformization and response distortion process characterization.In this paper,a sequential experiment design strategy based on Kriging model is established.Firstly,Kriging model is used to fit the initial experimental data to obtain the response surface.In order to enhance the uniformity of response distribution,Shannon entropy is applied to the objective function as the measure of uniformity.While for the situation of response distortion,we consider replacing the existing experiment points with those whose corresponding responses have a larger gradient norm.It means that the response value near these points will change rapidly,so they are more valuable for research.Then we use the peak surface in the three-dimensional space to intuitively verify the effect of the above algorithms on response uniformization and response distortion process characterization,and use the simulated annealing algorithm to solve them.The simulation results show that our sequential experiment strategy has a good effect.Finally,we apply the strategy to the practical problem of radar countermeasure experiment,and the obtained results also perform well. 展开更多

Efficient experiment design is of great significance for the validation of simulation model with high nonlinearity and large input space.Excessive validation experiment raises the cost while insufficient test increases the risks of accepting an invalid model.In this paper,an adaptive sequential experiment design method combining global exploration criterion and local exploitation criterion is proposed.The exploration criterion utilizes discrepancy metric to improve the space-filling property of the design points while the exploitation criterion employs the leave one out error to discover informative points.To avoid the clustering of samples in the local region,an adaptive weight updating approach is provided to maintain the balance between exploration and exploitation.Besides,the credibility distribution function characterizing the relationship between the input and result credibility is introduced to support the model validation experiment design.Finally,six benchmark problems and an engineering case are applied to examine the performance of the proposed method.The experiments indicate that the proposed method achieves satisfactory performance for function approximation in accuracy and convergence. 展开更多

To avoid the numerical complexities of the battery discharge law of electric-powered rotorcrafts,this study uses the Kriging method to model the discharge characteristics of Li-Po batteries under standard conditions.A linear current compensation term and an ambient temperature compensation term based on radial basis functions are then applied to the trained Kriging model,leading to the complete discharged capacity-terminal voltage model.Using an orthogonal experimental design and a sequential method,the coefficients of the current and ambient temperature compensation terms are determined through robust optimization.An endurance calculation model for electric-powered rotorcrafts is then established,based on the battery discharge model,through numerical integration.Laboratory tests show that the maximum relative error of the proposed discharged capacity-terminal voltage model at detection points is 0.0086,and that of the rotorcraft endurance calculation model is 0.0195,thus verifying their accuracy.A flight test further demonstrates the applicability of the proposed endurance model to general electric-powered rotorcrafts. 展开更多
