An efficient microreactor with continuous serially connected micromixers for the synthesis of superparamagnetic magnetite nanoparticles

A new microreactor with continuous serially connected micromixers(CSCM)was tailored for the coprecipitation process to synthesize Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles.Numerical simulation reveals that the two types of CSCM microchannels(V-typed and U-typed)proposed in this work exhibited markedly better mixing performances than the Zigzag and capillary microchannels due to the promotion of Dean vortices.Complete mixing was achieved in the V-typed microchannel in 2.7 s at an inlet Reynolds number of 27.Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles synthesized in a planar glass microreactor with the V-typed microchannel,possessing an average size of 9.3 nm and exhibiting superparamagnetism,had obviously better dispersity and uniformity and higher crystallinity than those obtained in the capillary microreactor.The new CSCM microreactor developed in this work can act as a potent device to intensify the synthesis of similar inorganic nanoparticles via multistep chemical precipitation processes.

串行式处理与并行式处理间的争论,本质上是模块论与连通论争论的细化;而这前两种理论对语言处理的阐释都存在优劣。作者试图通过比较串、并行式处理两者阐释性之优劣,来说明语言处理中存在准模块之可能;其中,串行式处理主要体现在高层系统(模块系统)上的操作,而并行式处理则主要体现在低层系统(处于信息封闭系统中的神经网络)上的操作———这可能便是语言处理的真正模式。

Composite behaviors of dual meminductor circuits

This paper focuses on analyzing the composite dynamic behaviors of two meminductors in serial and parallel connec- tions with different polarities. Based on the constitutive relations, two time-integral-of-flux （TIF） controlled meminductors are adopted to theoretically demonstrate the variation of memductance in terms of TIF, charge, flux, and current. By uti- lizing a floating memristor-less meminductor emulator, the theoretical analysis reported in this paper is confirmed via a PSPICE simulation study and hardware experiment. Good agreement among theoretical analysis, simulation, and hardware validation confirms that dual meminductor circuits in composite connections behave as a new meminductor with higher complexity.

Investigation on the dynamic behaviors of the coupled memcapacitor-based circuits

In this paper, by referring to the concept of coupled memristors （MRs） and considering the flux coupling connection, the constitutive relations for describing the coupled memcapacitors （MCs） are theoretically deduced. The dynamic behaviors of dual coupled MCs in serial and parallel connections are analyzed in terms of identical or opposite polarities for the first time. Based on the derived constitutive relations of the two coupled MCs, the modified relaxation oscillators （ROs） are obtained with the purpose of achieving controllable oscillation frequency and duty cycle. In consideration of different parameter configurations, the experimental investigation is carried out by using practical off-the-shelf circuit components to verify the correction of the theoretical calculation with numerical simulation of the coupled MCs and its application in ROs.

串行处理和并行处理之争由来已久。在阐释力上,两种模式各有优缺点。串行处理模式以模块论为理论基础,而并行处理模式以连通主义为理论基石。准模块理论认为串行处理主要体现在高层系统(模块系统)上的操作,而并行式处理则体现在底层系统(处于信息封闭系统中的神经网络)上的操作。笔者认为在语言模块内部亦存在串行处理模式,并指出准模块理论前提的不可靠性。
