The servomotor drive turret punch press is attracting more attentions and being developed more intensively due to the advantages of high speed,high accuracy,high flexibility,high productivity,low noise,cleaning and en...The servomotor drive turret punch press is attracting more attentions and being developed more intensively due to the advantages of high speed,high accuracy,high flexibility,high productivity,low noise,cleaning and energy saving.To effectively improve the performance and lower the cost,it is necessary to develop new mechanisms and establish corresponding optimal design method with uniform performance indices.A new patented main driving mechanism and a new optimal design method are proposed.In the optimal design,the performance indices,i.e.,the local motion/force transmission indices ITI,OTI,good transmission workspace good transmission workspace(GTW) and the global transmission indices GTIs are defined.The non-dimensional normalization method is used to get all feasible solutions in dimensional synthesis.Thereafter,the performance atlases,which can present all possible design solutions,are depicted.As a result,the feasible solution of the mechanism with good motion/force transmission performance is obtained.And the solution can be flexibly adjusted by designer according to the practical design requirements.The proposed mechanism is original,and the presented design method provides a feasible solution to the optimal design of the main driving mechanism for servo punch press.展开更多
In view of the complicated structure of the deflector-jet mechanism,a mathematical model based on the turbulent jet flow theory in the deflector-jet amplifier is proposed.Considering the energy transformation and mome...In view of the complicated structure of the deflector-jet mechanism,a mathematical model based on the turbulent jet flow theory in the deflector-jet amplifier is proposed.Considering the energy transformation and momentum variation,an equation of the flow velocity distribution at the key fluid region is established to describe the morphological changes of the fluid when it passes through the deflector and jets into the receiver.Moreover,the process is segmented into four stages.According to the research results,the oil enters the deflector and impinges with the side wall.Then one part of the oil's flow velocity decreases and a high pressure zone is formed by the oil accumulation,the other part of the oil reverses out of the deflector along the side wall.Prior to entering the receiver,the flow is a kind of plane impinging jet.Virtually,the working pressure of the receiver is generated by the impact force,while the high speed fluid flows out of the receiver and forms a violent vortex,which generates negative pressure and causes the oil to be gasified.Compared with the numerical simulation results,the turbulent jet model that can effectively describe the characteristics of the deflector-jet mechanism is accurate.In addition,the calculation results of the prestage pressure characteristic have been verified by experiments.展开更多

This formulation uses the approximation of fuzzy nonlinear function including error and error derivation in operation point. Obtained fuzzy control law has been employed to control angular position of servo using digital control technique applied to a typical microcontroller like AVR. The performance and robustness of modified fuzzy controller in comparison with PID controller evaluated in no load, applied external disturbance with different magnitude conditions has been studied. The simulation results showed that the proposed fuzzy controller has a considerable advantage in rise time, settling time and overshoot respect to PID controller when the servo system encounters with nonlinear features like saturation and friction.展开更多

ACA is a parallelized bionic optimization algorithm inspired from the behavior of real ants, and a kind of positive feedback mechanism is adopted in ACA. On the basis of brief introduction of LuGre friction model, a method for identifying the static LuGre friction parameters and the dynamic LuGre friction parameters using ACA is derived. Finally, this new friction parameter identification scheme is applied to a electric-driven flight simulation servo system with high precision. Based on the theory of fuzzy recognition and fault diagnosis, this method only depends on experience and statistical data to set up fuzzy query relationship between the outside phenomena (fault characters) and the fault sources (fault patterns). From this relationship the most probable fault sources can be obtained, to attain the goal of quick diagnosis. Based on the above approach, the standard fuzzy relationship matrix is stored in the computer as a system database. And experiment data are given to show the fault diagnosis results. The important parameters can be on line sampled and analyzed, and when faults occur, faults can be found, the alarm is given and the controller output is regulated.展开更多

Methods Based on s...Aim To eliminate the influences of backlash nonlinear characteristics generally existing in servo systems, a nonlinear compensation method using backpropagation neural networks(BPNN) is presented. Methods Based on some weapon tracking servo system, a three layer BPNN was used to off line identify the backlash characteristics, then a nonlinear compensator was designed according to the identification results. Results The simulation results show that the method can effectively get rid of the sustained oscillation(limit cycle) of the system caused by the backlash characteristics, and can improve the system accuracy. Conclusion The method is effective on sloving the problems produced by the backlash characteristics in servo systems, and it can be easily accomplished in engineering.展开更多

The modified method excels the traditional, and provides a new way for the design of tank fire control system. The controller is verified on the new state-space model of servo-valves attached to the physical rotary actuator by SIMULINK program. The controller and the state-space model are verified experimentally. Similar to...A servo press is a new type of mechanical press that is driven by programmable motors and offers superior performance such as low noise, excellent efficiency and high precision for metal forming operations. Similar to multi-link mechanical presses, a servo mechanical press tends to grow in size as the tonnage increases that calls for larger, heavy duty servo motors, which could be expensive and may not even be available. In this paper, a new concept of servo mechanical press with redundant actuation is proposed firstly using two servo motors driving one input shaft, i.e. one-point-two-motor mode that makes it possible to produce a larger press with available servomotors. Then the punching mechanism design is detailed. The performance indices are set up including mechanical advantage reciprocal and link force ratios. A bounded feasible solution space is constructed for dimensional synthesis based on non-dimensional link lengths and assembly conditions. The performance atlases are depicted over the bounded feasible solution space that lead to a visual solution of the punching mechanism with global optimization. Finally, case studies are given to illustrate the design method with visual global optimization, and a prototype with 200 t punching force is being developed in our laboratory to demonstrate efficacy of the new concept for servo mechanical press. The presented research provides a feasible solution to the development of heavy-duty servo mechanical presses and finds potential applications in the development of other types of heavy equipments with electric drive.展开更多
