Three-dimensional(3D)printing technology has been widely used to create artificial rock samples in rock mechanics.While 3D printing can create complex fractures,the material still lacks sufficient similarity to natural rock.Extrusion free forming(EFF)is a 3D printing technique that uses clay as the printing material and cures the specimens through high-temperature sintering.In this study,we attempted to use the EFF technology to fabricate artificial rock specimens.The results show the physico-mechanical properties of the specimens are significantly affected by the sintering temperature,while the nozzle diameter and layer thickness also have a certain impact.The specimens are primarily composed of SiO_(2),with mineral compositions similar to that of natural rocks.The density,uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),elastic modulus,and tensile strength of the printed specimens fall in the range of 1.65–2.54 g/cm3,16.46–50.49 MPa,2.17–13.35 GPa,and 0.82–17.18 MPa,respectively.It is capable of simulating different types of rocks,especially mudstone,sandstone,limestone,and gneiss.However,the simulation of hard rocks with UCS exceeding 50 MPa still requires validation. 展开更多

Background:Active video games are a new method for increasing physical activity(PA).Fully immersive virtual reality(VR)is a hardware device on which an active video game can run.Active(video games in)VR(AVR),might increase immersion,game engagement,and moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA),thereby yielding greater exercise-related benefits,e.g.,cognitive performance.Methods:We examined the induction of MVPA via an AVR and a sedentary VR(SVR)as well as the effects of VR play on cognitive performance,which was monitored using 2 different methods.Each of 29 sedentary college students attended three 20-min laboratory sessions(AVR,SVR,or control)in a randomized order;during the control session,they sat quietly doing nothing.A fully immersive headset was used for the 2 video game sessions.We monitored and computed participants’PA using hip-wom accelerometers(wGT3 x-bt;ActiGraph,Pensacola,FL,USA)and a heart rate band(Polar H7;Polar,Kempele,Finland).After each session,the participants completed a mnemonic similarity test(MST)to measure recognition memory.They also filled out a motion sickness questionnaire and an abbreviated game experience questionnaire.Results:The AVR session induced a significantly greater heart rate and more time spent in MVPA than did either of the other 2 sessions regardless of the PA monitoring method.AVR elicited greater game experience questionnaire-assessed sensory and imaginative immersion,challenge,and positive affect than did SVR.The mnemonic similarity test recognition score was marginally higher post-AVR session than it was post-SVR session.Conclusion:AVR elicited MVPA without a significant increase in motion sickness and induced a better game experience and better borderline cognitive performance than did SVR. 展开更多

In the pilot project of the substantive reform of court trials,“unexpected” judgments appeared constantly because the traditional documentary investigation mode has been replaced by an investigation mode under the principle of directness and verbalism. This change in the logic of factual judgments has caused a change in the methods of evidence examination. In traditional evidence examination, evidence obtained from investigations is supposed to be genuine and reliable. In the substantive reform of court trials, it is presumed that evidence obtained from investigations cannot be fully trusted and it is easier to ascertain the facts of the case by investigating using the principles of directness, verbalism and individualized judging methods for evidence examinations. In practice, there are three main factors affecting the genuineness of evidence: the cognitive rules of testifiers, the motivation of the subjects who provide evidence, and the methods used by investigators to obtain evidence. Based on any one of these three factors, it cannot be concluded that evidence obtained from investigations is superior to evidence presented in court. The substantive court investigation is more advantageous to establishing the facts of a case than the traditional court investigation. The essential characteristics of the substantive reform of court trials are pursuing reality in essence instead of in form, and using the files of the court trials instead of the files of the investigation to avoid the evidence obtained through investigations from playing a decisive role in the adjudication thus making criminal procedures trial-centered rather than investigation-centered. 展开更多

These deformations are computed and demonstrated with examples and the algorithm is applied to overcome the difficulties in mechanically simulating the motion of the human body by club-shape models. The techniques described in this article enables the reconstruction of dynamic human models that can be used in defining and representing the geometrical and kinematical characteristics of human motion. 展开更多

The geometry resulting from an arbitrarily extended Casimir plates along their axis of rotation is similar to van Stockum spacetime. We observe closed timelike curves (CTC’s) forming in the exterior of the system resulting from frame dragging. The exterior geometry of this system is similar to Kerr geometry, but because of violation of ANEC, the Cauchy horizon lies outside the system unlike Kerr blackholes, giving more emphasis on whether spacetime is multiply connected at the microscopic level. 展开更多

The “3 Genomic Numbers” Discovery: How Our Genome Single-Stranded DNA Sequence Is “Self-Designed” as a Numerical Whole

This article proves the existence of a hyper-precise global numerical meta-architecture unifying, structuring, binding and controlling the billion triplet codons constituting the sequence of single-stranded DNA of the entire human genome. Beyond the evolution and erratic mutations like transposons within the genome, it’s as if the memory of a fossil genome with multiple symmetries persists. This recalls the “intermingling” of information characterizing the fractal universe of chaos theory. The result leads to a balanced and perfect tuning between the masses of the two strands of the huge DNA molecule that constitute our genome. We show here how codon populations forming the single-stranded DNA sequences can constitute a critical approach to the understanding of junk DNA function. Then, we suggest revisiting certain methods published in our 2009 book “Codex Biogenesis”. In fact, we demonstrate here how the universal genetic code table is a powerful analytical filter to characterize single-stranded DNA sequences constituting chromosomes and genomes. We can then show that any genomic DNA sequence is featured by three numbers, which characterize it and its 64 codon populations with correlations greater than 99%. The number “1” is common to all sequences, expressing the second law of Chargaff. The other 2 numbers are related to each specific DNA sequence case characterizing life species. For example, the entire human genome is characterized by three remarkable numbers 1, 2, and Phi = 1.618 the golden ratio. Associated with each of these three numbers, we can match three axes of symmetry, then “imagine” a kind of hyperspace formed by these codon populations. Then we revisit the value (3-Phi)/2 which is probably universal and common to both the scale of quarks and atomic levels, balancing and tuning the whole human genome codon population. Finally, we demonstrate a new kind of duality between “form and substance” overlapping the whole human genome: we will show that—simultaneously with the duality between genes and junk DNA—there is a second layer of embedded hidden structure overlapping all the DNA of the whole human genome, dividing it into a second type of duality information/redundancy involving golden ratio proportions. 展开更多

Recent studies have shown that architectural interior forms could impact the affective state of inhabitants.However,the direct relation of specific forms with specific affective states is difficult to determine.In addition,no systematic categorization of architectural forms and their relation to emotional states exists.The investigation of the impact of architectural features on inhabitants'emotions is further complicated by the use of two-dimensional images of forms in laboratory investigations,which cannot perceive real-world architecture.Furthermore,the interior form consists of a combination of different forms rather than only pure forms,which was considered in previous studies.This study aimed to rill these gaps by evaluating interior forms on the basis of clustering different images of built living rooms throughout history as well as their impact on emotions.This study used pleasure,arousal,and dominance ratings with an emphasis on individual differences in personality.Virtual sample rooms were created based on formal clusters of architectural forms.Results showed a relationship between forms and emotional states for different personality traits.This work provided a novel approach on the influence of architecture on emotion by considering systematic form categorization and combinations,personality differences,and a virtual reality setup. 展开更多

两岸术语求同化异路径初探

语言文字的统一是促进和维护国家统一的标志。术语是各领域知识和信息传播的核心和灵魂。现有研究发现,两岸多个领域的术语差异高达30%以上。从语言学角度看,同实同形术语包含两岸共同的语言表述规律性,“同实异形”的差异术语存在共性... 语言文字的统一是促进和维护国家统一的标志。术语是各领域知识和信息传播的核心和灵魂。现有研究发现,两岸多个领域的术语差异高达30%以上。从语言学角度看,同实同形术语包含两岸共同的语言表述规律性,“同实异形”的差异术语存在共性规律和微观可协调性;从术语使用现状看,异形术语有两岸融合的情形。学界已建设了大量的术语对照资源,据此本研究提出两岸术语研究应以“求同化异”为理念。本着同中求规律、异中找共性的研究思路,文章以社科领域两岸对照术语为研究基础,以英语对照术语含system的一组术语为例,对两岸同实同形、同实异形术语进行了分类研究,归纳了两岸同实同形术语的共同表述规律,分析了同实异形术语的差异类型和共性特征,讨论了相应的协调策略,期待为之后的术语生成、翻译提供参照,从而服务于两岸统一大业。 展开更多

松嫩草甸草原植物群落物种组成和多样性对刈割和长期放牧的响应 被引量:3

为明晰不同利用方式对松嫩草甸草原不同植物群落物种组成和多样性的影响,本研究通过对松嫩平原西部地带性植被草甸草原在刈割和长期放牧利用下两种典型群落-羊草(Leymus chinensis)群落和野古草(Arundinella hirta)群落的调查与分析,探... 为明晰不同利用方式对松嫩草甸草原不同植物群落物种组成和多样性的影响,本研究通过对松嫩平原西部地带性植被草甸草原在刈割和长期放牧利用下两种典型群落-羊草(Leymus chinensis)群落和野古草(Arundinella hirta)群落的调查与分析,探究了两种利用方式对群落植物物种组成、重要值、生活型、数量特征及多样性等指标的影响。结果表明:刈割和长期放牧下羊草群落物种数为18种和21种,禾本科植物占比最高,分别为33.3%和45.45%;野古草群落物种数分别为39种和32种,禾本科植物占比为23.1%和21.9%。长期放牧增加羊草群落地面芽植物和野古草群落一年生植物占比,降低野古草群落地面芽植物占比。两种利用方式下两个群落饲用价值类型均以优良牧草的种类最多,占比分别为58.76%(刈割羊草群落)、53.33%(长期放牧羊草群落)、46.56%(刈割野古草群落)和46.63%(长期放牧野古草群落)。长期放牧显著降低了两个植物群落的盖度、高度和生物量(P <0.05)。与刈割相比,长期放牧下植物群落的Shannon-Wiener多样性指数和Simpson多样性指数均呈增加趋势。长期放牧下羊草群落和野古草群落S?rensen相似性指数更高,两个群落植物物种相似度更高;而Cody指数在刈割利用下更高,两个群落物种组成在刈割利用下的变化幅度更大。刈割和放牧对松嫩草甸草原不同植物群落的组成和多样性能够产生不同程度的影响,合理适度的利用方式和保护措施将更有利于对草原资源的可持续利用。 展开更多
