Graphene has remarkable strength, such as yield strength and elastic constant. The dynamic behaviour of graphene sheet is affected by geometrical variation in atomic arrangement. This paper introduced graphene with armchair atomic structure for estimating fundamental natural frequencies. The presented analysis can be useful for the possible high frequency nanomechanical resonator systems. The analytical formulation, based on classical plate theory and continuum solid modelling based finite element method have been performed for estimation of fundamental natural frequencies of single layer graphene sheet(SGLS)with different boundary conditions. The free edge and clamped edge boundary conditions have been considered. For simplifying analytical formulations,Blevins approach for dynamic solution has been adopted and for validating analytical results. The finite element analysis of SLGS has been performed using ANSYS software. The effect of variation in geometrical parameters in terms of width and length of SLGS has been analysed for realization of ultra-high frequency based nanomechanical resonator systems. 展开更多

The model is an assembly of grains in different orientations and sizes. The grain size is assumed to be in log-normal distribution. To model the macro anisotropic mechanical behavior of the grains induced by the slip deformation, the grains are assumed as isolated anisotropic units. The units have different mechanic behavior, and depend on the crystallographic orientations and the external loading as well as the interaction of the adjunctive grains. In the paper, the material properties of the grains are assumed as uniform distributions. The roughness of the contact surfaces depends on the distribution types and the scatters of the distributions. It is found that the initial roughness of the contact surfaces has a little influence on the surface roughness when the rolling deformation is large. The comparison between the phenomenological model and crystallographic model shows that the phenomenological model can also give out a reasonable result, while it only takes much less CPU time. The agreement between the single sheet model and the pack rolling model shows that in a certain degree the pack rolling model can be replaced by the single sheet model to decrease the CPU time. 展开更多

Experiments were carried out to design polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber reinforced cementitous composites (PVA-FRCCs) holding high ductility and energy consumption ability. Besides, the properties of each ingredients in composites, mixing method and technology for fresh mixture were described in detail. Then, the pseudo-strain-hardening (PSH) behavior was investigated in uniaxial tension test. As a result, the maximum ultimate tensile strain can reach 0.7 percent. On the other hand, the single edge notch (SEN) thin sheet specimens were employed to gain the normal tensile load via crack mouth opening displacement (CMOD) curves, which can show obvious PSH behavior. In addition, the curves can be divided into four zones whose fracture toughness calculation methods were discussed. The wedge splitting (WS) test method can be applied to discuss the fracture toughness. Moreover, fracture energy of SEN and WS specimens were both approximately evaluated. 展开更多
