By employing random series which have Bernoulli distributions taking value of 0 or 1, the data transmission model is obtained. Based on state augmentation and stochastic theory, the sufficient condition for robust stability with H ∞ constraints is derived for the filtering error system. The robust filter is designed in terms of feasibility of one certain linear matrix inequality (LMI), which is formed by adopting matrix congruence transformations. A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed filtering method.展开更多

A multicast protocol, called sender initiated grouping multicast protocol for DVE (SIGMP), is proposed. This new multicast protocol is based on a novel concept, multicast group (MG), which divides all participants in a DVE system into groups, among which there is a multicast group trustee (MGT) node to manage the group. The protocol provides unreliable/reliable, totally ordered and multiple to multiple multicast transmission service for DVE systems without sacrificing the communication efficiency heavily. At the same time, reliable unicast and one to multiple multicast transmission services are also supported. The performance analysis of the new protocols is also presented. Based on SIGMP, a simple demonstration of DVE system is designed and implemented. This demo system is running on several SGI workstations connected by a FDDI and Ethernet network.展开更多

In the work, the users transmit their wills about movement direction of the object to each other by only haptics and by haptics and vision (including with/ without drawing an arrow to indicate the direction of force applied to the object by the other user). We carry out QoE (Quality of Experience) assessment subjectively and objectively to investigate the influence of network delay on will transmission. As a result, we clarify the effects of vision on the transmissibility of haptic will transmission.展开更多

We found that both the road and drainage networks reflect weak clustering distributions. The evolution of the road network shared a significant self-organizing composition, while the drainage network showed obvious double fractal characteristics The geometric fractal dimension of the road network was larger than that of the drainage network. In addition, when assigned a weight relating to hierarchy or length, neither the road network nor drainage network showed a fractal property. These findings indicated that the fractal evolution of the road network shared certain similarities with fractal distribution of the drainage network. The symmetry between the two systems resulted from an interactive process of destroying symmetry at the lower order and reconstructing symmetry at the higher order. The relationships between the fractal dimensions of the rural-urban road network, the drainage network and the urban system indicated that the development of this area was to achieve the symmetrical isomorphism of physical-human geographical systems.展开更多

The parameters are collected using only standard equipment commonly installed and operative on commercial cars. Real sensors and car sub-systems (e.g. thermometers, accelerometers, ABS, ESP, and GPS) together with other “implicit” sensors (e.g. fog lights, windscreen wipers) acquire and contain information. They are shared inside an in-vehicle communication network using mainly the standard CAN bus and can be collected by a simple central node. This node can also be available on the market without too expensive costs thanks to some companies which business is devoted to car fleet monitoring. All the collected data are then geolocalized using a standard GPS receiver and sent to a remote elaboration unit, exploiting mobile network technologies such as GPRS or UMTS. A large number of cars, connected together in a diffuse Wireless Sensor Network, allow the elaboration unit to realize some info-layers put at the disposal of a car driver. Traffic, state of the road and other information about the weather can be received by car drivers using an ad hoc developed mobile application for smartphone which can give punctual information related to a specific route, previously set on the mobile phone navigator. The description of some experimental activities is presented, some technical points will be addressed and some examples of applications of the network of cars “as sensors” will be given.展开更多

文摘Individuals, local communities, environmental associations, private organizations, and public representatives and bodies may all be aggrieved by environmental problems concerning poor air quality, illegal waste disposal, water contamination, and general pollution.Environmental complaints represent the expressions of dissatisfaction with these issues. As the timeconsuming of managing a large number of complaints, text mining may be useful for automatically extracting information on stakeholder priorities and concerns. The paper used text mining and semantic network analysis to crawl relevant keywords about environmental complaints from two online complaint submission systems:online claim submission system of Regional Agency for Prevention,Environment and Energy(Arpae)(“Contact Arpae”);and Arpae's internal platform for environmental pollution(“Environmental incident reporting portal”)in the Emilia-Romagna Region,Italy. We evaluated the total of 2477 records and classified this information based on the claim topic(air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution,waste,odor,soil,weather-climate,sea-coast,and electromagnetic radiation)and geographical distribution. Then, this paper used natural language processing to extract keywords from the dataset, and classified keywords ranking higher in Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency(TF-IDF)based on the driver, pressure, state, impact, and response(DPSIR)framework. This study provided a systemic approach to understanding the interaction between people and environment in different geographical contexts and builds sustainable and healthy communities. The results showed that most complaints are from the public and associated with air pollution and odor.Factories(particularly foundries and ceramic industries)and farms are identified as the drivers of environmental issues.Citizen believed that environmental issues mainly affect human well-being.Moreover,the keywords of“odor”,“report”,“request”,“presence”,“municipality”,and“hours”were the most influential and meaningful concepts,as demonstrated by their high degree and betweenness centrality values. Keywords connecting odor(classified as impacts)and air pollution(classified as state)were the most important(such as“odor-burnt plastic”and“odor-acrid”).Complainants perceived odor annoyance as a primary environmental concern, possibly related to two main drivers:“odor-factory”and“odorsfarms”.The proposed approach has several theoretical and practical implications:text mining may quickly and efficiently address citizen needs, providing the basis toward automating(even partially)the complaint process;and the DPSIR framework might support the planning and organization of information and the identification of stakeholder concerns and priorities,as well as metrics and indicators for their assessment. Therefore, integration of the DPSIR framework with the text mining of environmental complaints might generate a comprehensive environmental knowledge base as a prerequisite for a wider exploitation of analysis to support decision-making processes and environmental management activities.

文摘Recent years, the deep learning algorithm has been widely deployed from cloud servers to terminal units. And researchers proposed various neural network accelerators and software development environments. In this article,we have reviewed the representative neural network accelerators. As an entirety, the corresponding software stack must consider the hardware architecture of the specific accelerator to enhance the end-to-end performance. And we summarize the programming environments of neural network accelerators and optimizations in software stack. Finally,we comment the future trend of neural network accelerator and programming environments.
文摘In this paper, the properties of distributed virtual environment (DVE) and the requirements on computer networks is briefly reviewed. This demo system is running on several SGI workstations connected by a FDDI and Ethernet network.
文摘In this paper, we handle collaborative work in which two users move an object together to eliminate a target in a 3-D virtual space. As a result, we clarify the effects of vision on the transmissibility of haptic will transmission.

文摘Symmetrical relationships between humans and their environment have been referred to as an extension of symmetries in the human geographical system and have drawn great attention. This paper explored the symmetry between physical and human systems through fractal analysis of the road and drainage networks in Wuling mountainous area. The relationships between the fractal dimensions of the rural-urban road network, the drainage network and the urban system indicated that the development of this area was to achieve the symmetrical isomorphism of physical-human geographical systems.

文摘The present paper aims to describe the conceptual idea to use cars as sensors to measure and acquire data related road environment. The description of some experimental activities is presented, some technical points will be addressed and some examples of applications of the network of cars “as sensors” will be given.
文摘Wireless body area networks (WBANs) use RF communication for interconnection of tiny sensor nodes located in, on, or in close prox- imity to the human body. A WBAN enables physiological signals, physical activity, and body position to be continuously monitored.
文摘There is a close relationship between the environmental factors and the human learning. The language laboratory is an important place for the foreign language learning.Building a good learning and practice environment of language laboratories plays an important role in the foreign language teaching.Learning can never take place in a vacuum. It always takes place in a variety of environments. Some of these environments may be more conducive to the development of the cognitive, emotional and social skills than others.
