The lack of methods to modulate intrinsic textures of carbon cathode has seriously hindered the revelation of in-depth relationship between inherent natures and capacitive behaviors,limiting the advancement of lithium ion capacitors(LICs).Here,an orientateddesigned pore size distribution(range from 0.5 to 200 nm)and graphitization engineering strategy of carbon materials through regulating molar ratios of Zn/Co ions has been proposed,which provides an effective platform to deeply evaluate the capacitive behaviors of carbon cathode.Significantly,after the systematical analysis cooperating with experimental result and density functional theory calculation,it is uncovered that the size of solvated PF6-ion is about 1.5 nm.Moreover,the capacitive behaviors of carbon cathode could be enhanced attributed to the controlled pore size of 1.5-3 nm.Triggered with synergistic effect of graphitization and appropriate pore size distribution,optimized carbon cathode(Zn90Co10-APC)displays excellent capacitive performances with a reversible specific capacity of^50 mAh g-1at a current density of 5 A g-1.Furthermore,the assembly pre-lithiated graphite(PLG)//Zn90Co10-APC LIC could deliver a large energy density of 108 Wh kg-1 and a high power density of 150,000 W kg-1 as well as excellent long-term ability with 10,000 cycles.This elaborate work might shed light on the intensive understanding of the improved capacitive behavior in LiPF<sub>6 electrolyte and provide a feasible principle for elaborate fabrication of carbon cathodes for LIC systems. 展开更多

Lignocellulosic biomass photoreforming is a promising and alternative strategy for both sustainable H_(2) production and biomass valorization with infinite solar energy.However,harsh reaction conditions(high alkalinity or toxic organic solvents),with low biomass conversion and selectivity are often reported in literature.In this work,we report glucose photoreforming for coproduction of H_(2) and arabinose with improved selectivity under neutral condition using carbon quantum dots(CQDs)modified TiO_(2) composites.We show that the conventional CQDs fabricated by a facile one-step hydrothermal process could be endowed with novel color changing property,due to the particle aggregation under the regulation of incident light.The as-fabricated CQDs/TiO_(2) composites with certain colored CQDs could greatly improve glucose to arabinose conversion selectivity(-75%)together with efficient hydrogen evolution(up to 2.43 mmolh^(-1)g^(-1))in water.The arabinose is produced via the direct C1-C2 α-scissions mechanism with reactive oxygen species of·O_(2)^(-) and·OH,as evidenced by ^(13)C labeled glucose and the electron spin-resonance(ESR)studies,respectively.This work not only sheds new lights on CQDs assisted photobiorefinery for biomass valorization and H_(2) coproduction,but also opens the door for rationale design of different colored CQDs and their potential applications for solar energy utilization in the noble-metal-free system. 展开更多

Ordered ZnO nanorod arrays were epitaxially grown on GaN substrates by a hydrothermal method.The patterned template was made by transferring a self-assembled close-packed monolayer of polystyrene(PS)nanospheres onto GaN substrates.Then magnetron sputtering of SiO_(2)was used to mediate the size of PS nanospheres by plasma etching and form periodic seed sites for the following ZnO growth.It was observed that the size of ZnO nanorods could be varied by changing the temperature of hydrothermal growth,and the relationship between height and diameter of nanorods versus growth temperature was studied.This work provides a potential low-cost hydrothermal method for the preparation of ordered semiconductor nanorod arrays. 展开更多

Pampus argenteus and Pampus chinensis form the high-value demersal Pomfret fishery of Bangladesh.But,due to a monotonic decline in catches over the last five years,it is essential to explore the current stock status concerning the removal rate to ensure the sustainability of this fishery.Therefore,given the reliability and minimal data requirements,this study employed an extended Bayesian State-Space Surplus Production Model,JABBA(Just Another Bayesian Biomass Assessment),to assess the stock rigorously.The results revealed that the stock biomass of the Pomfret fishery in the final year of the time series is significantly lower than BMSY,the biomass required to produce MSY.Consequently,this study recommends a yearly catch limit(TAC)of 10,000 metric tons to prevent further depletion of the stock biomass.Furthermore,to avoid growth overfishing by allowing all immature fishes to reproduce at least once before being caught,this study also calculated the optimum length(Lopt)for catch for both species at which biologically maximum yield and revenue can be obtained.The estimated Lopt is 25 cm for P.argenteus and 30 cm for P.chinensis,and not to capture fishes with lengths lower than these limits,this study further calculated the minimum mesh size limits for gill and set bag nets is 7.5 cm.Though the mesh size regulation was estimated using length-based reference points derived from an empirical equation,this regulation can be used as an associate reference point when TAC is applied to assure the sustainability of this fishery. 展开更多
