Effects of soft-magnetic MnZn ferrite (Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4, MZF) and hard-magnetic Ba ferrite (BaO.6Fe2O3, BaM) on the structure and magnetic transport properties of [La2/3Srl/3MnO3] (LSMO)/(x) [ferrites] (ferrit...Effects of soft-magnetic MnZn ferrite (Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4, MZF) and hard-magnetic Ba ferrite (BaO.6Fe2O3, BaM) on the structure and magnetic transport properties of [La2/3Srl/3MnO3] (LSMO)/(x) [ferrites] (ferrites=MZF, BaM) composites have been investigated. It was found that the inclusion of MZF phase reduces magnetization and ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition temperature (To) of the composites. With increasing the content of the dopants, the high-temperature magnetoresistance (MR) decreases, whereas low-temperature MR increases and reaches 42% at 150 K and x=0.1. However, for the LSMO/BaM composites, magnetization and ferromagneticparamagnetic transition temperature (To) decrease firstly as x〈5%, and then increase as x〉5%. The resistivity of the composites increases by five orders of magnitude at x=1% and is out of measured range at x=5%. High magnetic field has little effect on the resistivity and magnetoresistance originate from the pinning effect of BaM for the composites with x〉5%, which may grains.展开更多

Formation of the composite films is due to strong chemical reaction of organic silanol group with the surface oxygen atoms of XW11O39n-, resulted in the saturation of the surface of the lacunary polyoxometalates (POMs). Therefore, the coordination structural model of the films was proposed. As for the films, retention of the primary Keggin structure was confirmed by UV-vis, FT-IR spectra and MAS NMR. The surface morphology of the films was characterized by SEM, indicating that the film surface is relatively uniform, and the layer thickness is in the range of 250~350 nm. Aqueous formic acid (FA) (0-20 mmol/L) was degraded into CO2 and H2O by irradiating the films in the near-UV area. The results show that all the films have photocatalytic activities and the degradation reaction follows Langmuir-Hinshelwood first order kinetics.展开更多

PC12 cells were cultured on these fibrous scaffolds and their growth following electrical stimulation (0-20.0 μA stimulus intensity, for 1-4 days) was observed using inverted light microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy coupled with the MTT cell viability test. The results demonstrated that the poly(L-lactic acid)/ammonium persulfate doped-polypyrrole fibrous scaffold was a dual multi-porous micro/nano fibrous scaffold. An electrical stimulation with a current intensity 5.0- 10.0 μAfor about 2 days enhanced neuronal growth and neurite outgrowth, while a high current intensity (over 15.0 μA) suppressed them. These results indicate that electrical stimulation with a moderate current intensity for an optimum time frame can promote neuronal growth and neurite outgrowth in an intensity- and time-dependent manner.展开更多
