Analysis of Distribution of Public Toilets within Walking Range around Communities of the Elderly under the Model of Community Home-based Care for the Elderly: A Case Study of Changxindian, Fengtai District, Beijing

In recent years,under the influence of multiple factors such as traditional ideas and living economic conditions,the aging population in China continues to increase.Most of the elderly are more inclined to aged at home,and the first places for elderly activities are communities and the surrounding environment,which greatly affects the convenience of life and happiness of the elderly.In this paper,Changxindian area in Fengtai District of Beijing was as the research object,and detailed calculation and analysis were carried out by using POI data and arcGIS software.The relative location of residential areas and surrounding public toilets was explored,and the best location of public toilets in the daily walking area under the model of community home-based care for the elderly was further studied.

Analysis and Research on Information Design of the Smart Community Pension Service

In the research on the smart community pension service,it is found that the problems encountered in the promotion of the smart pension can not be solved in the short term because of the lack of information and the acceptance of the intelligent products by the elderly. This paper puts forward the research ideas based on the cognitive characteristics and demand prediction of the specific population. Focusing on the research on the pension needs of people born in the 1960 s or 1970 s,it provides support for the solution of smart pension services in the peak period of aging population in the future.

Outcomes of Integrated Community Care Interventions for Frail Elderly People: A Literature Review

This study aimed to summarize the outcome measures and the significant outcome of effective integrated community care for frail elderly people through a literature review. A literature search was conducted using the Cochrane Library and PubMed for articles published up to November 2016 with the following search terms: Integrated community care, primary care, community, frail elderly, and effectiveness. A total of 106 articles were identified, of which eight with an interventional research design the inclusion criteria. All outcome measures were classified into the three categories: Functional abilities, quality of life, and health. As the significant effect, the physical function was perceived in four references, the quality of life in one reference, and the mental health in one reference. The evidence of the effectiveness of integrated community care seemed to be lacking. More studies will need to be conducted.

The research of the community-home elderly long-term care service system

With the rapid development of the aging of the population, the demand of long-term care services in the elderly is growing. Because of family miniaturization, core, and currently limited social accumulation are difficult to meet the demand of the elderly in long-term care.Community provides the elderly long-term care services, and provides the elderly all kinds of household helping services. They just make up for the inadequacy of the family and society.And how to make the community elderly long-term care services become more suitable for the needs of the elderly at home, provide better service for the elderly, are our current problems to be solved.

User Profile in Smart Elderly Care Community:Findings from Community in Western China

With the increase in the aging population,the need for elderly care services has diversified,and smart elderly care has become an effective measure to cope with this increasing aging population.Based on the data from the platform“Guan Hu Tong”of RQ Company in the community of Shaanxi Province in western China,this study mined the data of smart elderly care services through the recency,frequency and monetary value(RFM)model and the backpropagation(BP)neural network model,constructed the user profile of the elderly,and predicted users’practical demands.The following conclusions were drawn:The oldest users are important target users of smart elderly care service platforms;Elderly women living alone rely more on smart elderly care services;Meal delivery and health follow-up services are the most popular among elderly users.

Study on Community Care Needs and Influencing Factors of the Urban Elderly in Shandong Province, China

Objective: To understand community care needs of the urban elderly in Shandong Province. To analysis the influencing factors and community care needs of the urban elderly in Shandong Province. Methods: Shandong Province was divided into four levels according to the level of economic development, multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method was used. Each city collected the old aged 60 years or older served by 5 community health service centers. A total of 3390 questionnaires were distributed, the recovery rate was 100%, it had 3363 effective questionnaires, and an effective rate was 99.20%. SPSS17.0 software was used for univariate and multivariate analysis. Results: Analysis results show that, the influencing factors of community care needs of health promotion dimension have medical time (t = 3.239, P = 0.001) and EQ-5D score (t = 9.104, P - 6.239, P - 17.276, P - 3.762, P - 8.341, P Conclusions: Community care needs of the urban elderly in Shandong Province are at a medium level and have many influencing factors, the scores of each dimension from high to low are health promotion, disease care and disease prevention. In community nursing work, we should meet the care needs of the elderly, we need to enhance elderly self-care and safety awareness and promote the physical and mental health of the elderly.

Optimization Strategies of Beijing Elderly Care Service Stations Based on Questionnaire Survey Method: A Case Study of Zhanlan Road Street of Xicheng District

4 elderly care service stations in Zhanlan Road Street,Xicheng District,Beijing are selected,and questionnaires are designed and distributed to the surrounding elderly population to understand their needs and satisfaction with the station environment.By observing elderly care service stations on site,the characteristics,obstacles,and shortcomings of the environment are recorded,and relevant data are collected and analyzed,such as the characteristics of the elderly population being interviewed,the planning and design data of the station environment,and the distribution of service facilities.The overall characteristics of the spatial environment of elderly care stations are summarized,and renovation measures and optimization suggestions are provided for the current shortcomings,thereby providing some basis for the spatial design of community elderly care service stations in the future.

An Association Pattern of Constituent Factors of the Elder Care Community in China

With the development of the aging society in China,the contradiction between the growing old people and the shortage of the elder care community has been increasingly sharp.How to reasonably and effectively establish the elder care community becomes a problem that demanding prompt solution in China.This paper,starting from the most basic constituent factors of the elder care community,namely the concept,the configuration and the service,analyzes 6 types of the concept,redefines the type of the building configuration of the elder care community,and explains the types and levels of the service,which aims to guide the elder care community to deal with the relationship between the 3 factors with a view to providing a reference for the architectural design and standard preparation in the elder care community.

Age-Friendly Communities: Creating a Conducive Environment for the Elderly in India

India is one of the nations in the world where the population is undergoing anomalous demographic changes.The increase in longevity and decrease fertility lead to the boom of older people aged 60 and above both in relative and absolute terms.Due to the rise in number,it creates pressure not only on the family but the responsibility shifts to the government also.This issue becomes a significant social problem not only in India but across the globe.The government had taken action by creating policies and programs to provide services to them.Still,the majority of the elderly population is lacking behind in these areas like health facilities,infrastructure,living arrangements suffering from isolation,loneliness,abuse,crime.Nowadays,smart city initiatives are taken by the government across the country but still in process.To involve and facilitate more cities for“age-friendly”,the World Health Organization develop the Global Age-Friendly Cities Guide and a manual“Checklist of Essential Features of Age-Friendly Cities”.Cooperating with 35 urban communities from developed and developing nations,the WHO oversees eight highlights for age-accommodating urban areas in the space of urban life.This paper had an objective to study and understand exiting literature on age-friendly communities in developed and developing countries and draw attention to the need to create age-friendly cities in India.The realization of the needs and demands of older people,the Indian government should give attention to promote and implement more age-friendly communities all over the country.This initiative till now taken in 3 states,i.e.,Delhi,Udaipur,and Kolkata-which involved in age-friendly community initiatives collaborated with WHO.In this era of a rapid aging sphere,the communities have to enhance in such a manner where the older population can meet their needs quickly without any conflicts and problem.To conclude,the government and policymaker should emphasize the policies into practices to build age-friendly communities across the country and make better living conditions for“allages”.For timely action and productive recommendation,it is an urgent need on the part of the government,policymakers,researchers,social workers to develop and enhance the community’s facilities,which can gain confidence and wellbeing of the elderly in India.

Spatial Optimization and Reconstruction of Old Communities under the Background of Aging

As aging becomes increasingly serious,how to make the life of the elderly more convenient and comfortable has become one of the social problems to be solved urgently.Old residential areas are one of spaces where the elderly gather.In this paper,the prominent problems in the community space of existing old residential areas that are not conducive to the life of the elderly were analyzed,and corresponding countermeasures to transform the community space were put forward.It is hoped that public space can play its due value and make old residential areas glow with new vitality.

Elderly healthcare service at the community health centers in the Pearl River Delta region,China

Objective:The recent population census showed China had officially become a graying society.In the meantime,China also faces a growing burden of non-communicable diseases.Since 2009,a series of policies have been implemented to enhance primary care at the community level.This study describes the elderly care services provided in the differently organized community health centers(CHCs).Methods:It covered 13 CHCs of six cities located within the Pearl River Delta(PRD)region.In-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 59 health administrators,CHC managers,and CHC doctors regarding elderly care.Results:The study found that accessibility of healthcare for elders has been improved due to the development of health insurance schemes as well as preferential policy to encourage the CHC utilization by the elderly.All the CHCs provide health examinations and chronic disease management to the permanent elderly within their catchment district.However,some preventative care such as fall prevention,immunization and mental health management are not provided.Conclusion:Key barriers include low capacity of health service providers in the CHCs,and a lack of government investment in CHCs.Our report provides an empirical evidence for the health care reform in China.

Significant Differences in Elderly Health between Urban and Rural Communities: A Literature Review

This study aimed to examine measures pertaining to elderly health in urban versus rural settings, and to identify differences in the health of elderly people living in urban and rural communities through a literature review. An electronic literature search was performed using PubMed for English articles published in peer-reviewed journals up to August 2018, with the following search terms: “urban”, “rural”, “comparison of community”, “elderly health”, and “comparison of community health”. A total of 35 articles were extracted for a critical full-text review, and six articles that met the inclusion criteria were subjected to analysis. Measures related to elderly health in urban and rural communities were classified into the following three categories: functional abilities, health, and health perception. Five of the six articles described functional abilities (e.g., social function) and health (e.g., mental health, depression) as categories with significant differences in elderly health between urban and rural communities. The results suggest that elderly health measures related to social function and mental health or depression are more important outcome measures of effective person-centered integrated community care systems from the perspective of community characteristics. As there were only a few articles reporting on elderly health according to differences in environment between urban and rural communities, further investigation is globally warranted.

智慧养老研究的现状及发展趋势分析——基于文献计量和知识图谱

以CNKI、维普和Web of science为数据来源,运用文献计量和知识图谱的方法对国内外智慧养老领域的研究现状及发展态势进行了分析,利用SATI、Cite Space、Ucinet、SPSS等软件,从论文的数量、期刊分布、核心作者、作者合作关系、研究机构、关键词、主题内容等维度,结合文献计量经典定律进行了科学计量分析和可视化呈现。研究表明,国内智慧养老研究围绕物联网、养老方式和模式、养老体系建设以及城市建设等方面展开,其中物联网技术处于核心地位。物联网仍将是未来研究的热点领域,其衍生的相关产业和产品的研究也将得到广泛关注。国外智慧养老研究围绕智能家居的具体应用功能、无线传感网来展开,侧重于技术和应用功能研究,智慧养老的功能和应用仍将是未来研究的重点。

智慧养老对老年人幸福感影响的实证研究——以南京市为例

基于2022年南京市老年家庭智慧养老服务与产品应用调查数据,从服务/产品使用的角度,系统分析了智慧养老设备、互联网订购/使用服务和数字素养对老年人的生活满意度和心理健康两个幸福感维度的影响。倾向值匹配、ologit和logit回归分析显示:首先,智慧养老的不同方面对幸福感的影响主要体现在心理健康而不是生活满意度上;其次,相比未使用、较少使用智慧养老设备和互联网的老年人,使用、较多使用智慧养老设备和互联网的老年人心理更健康,互联网订购/使用服务和数字素养对老年人心理健康的影响不显著。
