The investigated heating syste...This paper presents a study to optimize the heating energy costs in a residential building with varying electricity price signals based on an Economic Model Predictive Controller (EMPC). The investigated heating system consists of an air source heat pump (ASHP) incorporated with a hot water tank as active Thermal Energy Storage (TES), where two optimization problems are integrated together to optimize both the ASHP electricity consumption and the building heating consumption utilizing a heat dynamic model of the building. The results show that the proposed EMPC can save the energy cost by load shifting compared with some reference cases.展开更多

Taking into account bounded disturbances, a robust distributed controller was constructed based on the system model, which was described by a set of partial differential equations (PDEs) and boundary conditions (BCs) . Subsequently, a finite dimensional controller was further developed, and it was proven that this controller can stabilize the finite dimensional model with arbitrary number of flexible modes. This modeling describes the relationship between the context elements (person, time, location, and activity) and services (Morning Call, Sleeping, Guarding, Entertainment, and normal), which is effective to logical inference. We apply semi tensor matrix product to describe the dynamic of the system. This matrix form of expression is a convenient and reasonable way to design logic control system.展开更多
近年来,模仿学习被广泛应用于机器人领域,并展示出巨大的潜力。同时关注到智能系统在教育领域的应用越来越多样化,将机器人合理地应用到教学中可以提升教学效果,如果机器人可以教授一些专业技巧,如演奏乐器,可以为学生和人类老师都提供...近年来,模仿学习被广泛应用于机器人领域,并展示出巨大的潜力。同时关注到智能系统在教育领域的应用越来越多样化,将机器人合理地应用到教学中可以提升教学效果,如果机器人可以教授一些专业技巧,如演奏乐器,可以为学生和人类老师都提供很大的便利。模仿学习特别适用于高度专业和技术性强的小提琴演奏,但在将专家演示引入动态运动原语(Dynamic Movement Primitive,DMP)的过程中,模糊性问题尤为突出,例如换弦角度的不确定性。传统的换弦角度测量方法如物理测量会有很大的误差且无法泛化,为了解决这一问题,提出了一种名为基于模糊和PCA的动态运动原语(Fuzzy Dynamic Movement Primitive for Teaching,T-FDMP)的新模型。该模型基于二型模糊模型和主成分分析(Principal Component Analysis,PCA)进行构建,使用主成分分析法(PCA)得到的特征变量(运弓角度)作为隶属度函数(琴弦角度)的输入进行学习,同时构建了一个专业级的音乐演奏行为数据库。仿生实验结果证明,所提出的T-FDMP模型能够以高精度控制机器人进行小提琴演奏,还为模仿学习在其他高度专业和技术性强的领域的应用提供了新的研究方向。展开更多

The model is established based on the authors' years of experie...This paper introduces an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model specially designed for the safety culture assessment of petroleum enterprises. The model is established based on the authors' years of experience in this field. The index system of the safety assessment mentioned herein is based on SMART safety culture principles, covering safety material, safety behavior, safety system, safety belief, persistence of safety, and openness of safety. The proposed system also includes the safety material culture, in which on-the-spot analysis of the key factors of safety culture is conducted together with duty consultants. All the fuzzy membership indexes and their degrees were weighed and calculated with the final evaluation results, presented in accordance with the analytic hierarchy process. All the safety culture statuses of petroleum enterprises Z, S, and C were then incorporated into detailed analysis. The results of the application confirm that the levels of safety culture follow the order of Z petroleum enterprise <S petroleum enterprise <C petroleum enterprise. The safety culture grades of the S and C petroleum enterprises are "qualified," and it indicates that production can proceed. By contrast, the assessment result for Z petroleum enterprise is "not qualified", and it means that its production has to be prohibited. These results show that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is suitable for evaluating the degree of safety of the studied petroleum enterprises. The reward and safety material culture, as well as safety conditions and safety reliability, should be taken as the key factors in safety culture construction for petroleum enterprises. Thus, the proposed model heightens production levels, and plays an important role in the construction of business safety culture.展开更多

Much progress has been made in achieving plant- and site-wide optimization, hut benchmarking would give greater confidence. Technical challenges confrontingprocess systems engineers in developing enabling tools and techniques are discussed regarding flexibilityand uncertainty, responsiveness and agility, robustness and security, the prediction of mixture propertiesand function, and new modeling and mathematics paradigms. Exploiting intelligence from big data to driveagility will require tackling new challenges, such as how to ensure the consistency and confidentiality ofdata through long and complex supply chains. Modeling challenges also exist, and involve ensuring that allkey aspects are properly modeled, particularly where health, safety, and environmental concerns requireaccurate predictions of small but critical amounts at specific locations. Environmental concerns will requireus to keep a closer track on all molecular species so that they are optimally used to create sustainablesolutions.
