This study yielded 3 findings. 1) The mental health of new graduate nurses significantly worsens 3 months after employment as a nurse and mental health 1 year after employment as a nurse was significantly worse than that before employment. 2) A sense of coherence (SOC) is the ability to cope with stressors, and the 3 components of SOC decreased significantly in the year after employment as a nurse. 3) The mental health of new graduate nurses was significantly affected by a low SOC and by previous diminishing of SOC. Findings suggested the importance of support to sustain and improve the mental health of new graduate nurses and the importance of approaches in the workplace to encourage the development of SOC.展开更多

Background Human interleukin(IL)-37 is a constituent of the IL-1 family with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive attributes.It has been demonstrated extensive beneficial effects on various diseases;however,...Background Human interleukin(IL)-37 is a constituent of the IL-1 family with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive attributes.It has been demonstrated extensive beneficial effects on various diseases;however,its role in the pathogenesis of diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM)remains unclear.Methods In vivo,DCM mouse model was established with streptozotocin injection and a high-fat diet in WT and cardiac fibroblasts(CFs)specific hIL-37b overexpression mice(IL-37-Tg).In vitro,primary mouse CFs were isolated from the hearts of adult mice and cultured with high levels of glucose and palmitic acid.Cardiac function of the mice was assessed using echocardiography.Masson staining,immunofluorescence,western blot and RT-PCR assays were employed to evaluate the expression of cardiac fibrosis and SOCS3-JAK2-STAT3 signaling pathway-related proteins.Results In this study,we found that CFs specific IL-37-Tg significantly ameliorated cardiac dysfunction and reduced collagen production by inhibiting the JAK2-STAT3 axis,as evidenced by the decreased levels of p-JAK2 and p-STAT3 in the heart of CFs specific IL-37-Tg DCM mice.The beneficial effects of IL-37 were consistently observed in CFs treated with high glucose(HG)and palmitic acid(PA).Moreover,we also discovered that the presence of IL-37 increased the expression of SOCS3,a crucial regulator of JAK/STAT signaling,in DCM mice and HG and PA-treated CFs.Finally,the anti-fibrotic action of IL-37 in HG and PAtreated CFs was abolished when either SOCS3 was genetically knocked down or JAK2/STAT3 was pharmacologically activated.Conclusions Our findings indicate that IL-37 exerts its antifibrotic effect by promoting SOCS3-mediated JAK2-STAT3 inactivation and may be considered as a potential therapeutic agent for DCM.展开更多

This article examines the interconnected factors—such as demographic shifts, inadequate planning, and regulatory oversight—that culminated in the devastating fire of 1984, claiming numerous lives and highlighting systemic failures. Utilizing the Haddon Matrix, this study dissects the Vila Socó incident, emphasizing the roles of human error, infrastructure integrity, and socio-economic disparities in disaster causation. Accurately assessing the State of Charge(SOC)is paramount for optimizing battery management systems,a cornerstone for ensuring peak battery performance and safety across diverse applications,encompassing vehicle power...Accurately assessing the State of Charge(SOC)is paramount for optimizing battery management systems,a cornerstone for ensuring peak battery performance and safety across diverse applications,encompassing vehicle powertrains and renewable energy storage systems.Confronted with the challenges of traditional SOC estimation methods,which often struggle with accuracy and cost-effectiveness,this research endeavors to elevate the precision of SOC estimation to a new level,thereby refining battery management strategies.Leveraging the power of integrated learning techniques,the study fuses Random Forest Regressor,Gradient Boosting Regressor,and Linear Regression into a comprehensive framework that substantially enhances the accuracy and overall performance of SOC predictions.By harnessing the publicly accessible National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA)Battery Cycle dataset,our analysis reveals that these integrated learning approaches significantly outperform traditional methods like Coulomb counting and electrochemical models,achieving remarkable improvements in SOC estimation accuracy,error reduction,and optimization of key metrics like R2 and Adjusted R2.This pioneering work propels the development of innovative battery management systems grounded in machine learning and deepens our comprehension of how this cutting-edge technology can revolutionize battery technology.展开更多
In order to improve the estimation accuracy of the battery's state of charge(SOC) for the hybrid electric vehicle(HEV),the SOC estimation algorithm based on advanced wavelet neural network(WNN) is presented.Bas...In order to improve the estimation accuracy of the battery's state of charge(SOC) for the hybrid electric vehicle(HEV),the SOC estimation algorithm based on advanced wavelet neural network(WNN) is presented.Based on advanced WNN,the SOC estimation model of a lithium-ion power battery for the HEV is first established.Then,the convergence of the advanced WNN algorithm is proved by mathematical deduction.Finally,using an adequate data sample of various charging and discharging of HEV batteries,the neural network is trained.The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can effectively decrease the estimation errors of the lithium-ion power battery SOC from the range of ±8% to ±1.5%,compared with the traditional SOC estimation methods.展开更多
