Change in self-image pressure level before and after autologous fat breast augmentation and its effect on social adaptability

BACKGROUND There is an increasingly strong demand for appearance and physical beauty in social life,marriage,and other aspects with the development of society and the improvement of material living standards.An increasing number of people have improved their appearance and physical shape through aesthetic plastic surgery.The female breast plays a significant role in physical beauty,and droopy or atrophied breasts can frequently lead to psychological inferiority and lack of confidence in women.This,in turn,can affect their mental health and quality of life.AIM To analyze preoperative and postoperative self-image pressure-level changes of autologous fat breast augmentation patients and their impact on social adaptability.METHODS We selected 160 patients who underwent autologous fat breast augmentation at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from January 2020 to December 2022 using random sampling method.The general information,selfimage pressure level,and social adaptability of the patients were investigated using a basic information survey,body image self-assessment scale,and social adaptability scale.The self-image pressure-level changes and their effects on the social adaptability of patients before and after autologous fat breast augmentation were analyzed.RESULTS We collected 142 valid questionnaires.The single-factor analysis results showed no statistically significant difference in the self-image pressure level and social adaptability score of patients with different ages,marital status,and monthly income.However,there were significant differences in social adaptability among patients with different education levels and employment statuses.The correlation analysis results revealed a significant correlation between the self-image pressure level and social adaptability score before and after surgery.Multiple factors analysis results showed that the degree of concern caused by appearance in selfimage pressure,the degree of possible behavioral intervention,the related distress caused by body image,and the influence of body image on social life influenced the social adaptability of autologous fat breast augmentation patients.CONCLUSION The self-image pressure on autologous fat breast augmentation patients is inversely proportional to their social adaptability.

Investigation on children's social adaptive capacity

Objective: To understand the present conditions of Children's social adaptive capacity. Methods: Using the social viability measuring list on infants-junior middle school students revised by Zuo Qi-hua, the social viability and its influence factors were investigated on 628 Children in,7 kindergartens of 4 cities in Chi-na. Results: The general trend of development of Child''s social adaptive capacity was fairly good. The rele-vance ratio on the edge level was 0. 3%. Of them 16.4% and 7% were excellent and extraordinary intelli-gence respectively. The family environment had played a very important role in child''s social adaptive capaci-ty. Conclusion: The research revealed that in the respect of training a child''s social adaptive ability, the ini-tiative of each family should be brought into full play and we should surmount the negative influence, and solve the contradiction between releasing one''s control and taking care of everything, and arouse the con-scious activity of the child, and ensure the unity and balance between the child''s own body and the living en-vironment.

Quality of life in caregivers of young children with Prader-Willi syndrome

Background This study aimed to measure quality of life(QOL)in primary caregivers of young childrenwith Prader-Willi syndrome(PWS).Methods The caregivers of 32 children aged from 6.1 to 71.2 months completed the Chinese version of the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF).We also evaluated the social adaption capacity of these children with Infants-Junior Middle School Students'Social-Life Abilities Scale.Correlation test was used to explore the related factors to caregivers'QOL.Results Caregivers of young children with PWS had significantly lower QOL.The correlation analyses revealed that caregivers'QOL was lower in children with young age,combined diseases or symptoms or poor social adaption,or caregivers having concerns about the child.Conclusions Rearing a chilld with PWS may lead to decreased QOL.Psychological status of caregivers should be highlighted and social support should be given to families with PWS children.
