Experiments were carried out as a function of solution pH, solute concentration, and time. The Langmuir model was adopted to describe the single-solute adsorption isotherm, in which the Langmuir parameters were directly taken from those obtained in single-solute systems. The kinetics of metal ions adsorption was examined and the pseudo-first-order rate constant was finally evaluated.展开更多

M (TPA-PPV) and M (TPA-PAV) (Scheme 1) were studied and the effect of KNO3 on the interaction between model compounds and ionic micelle-watts interface was also investigated. It is found that (I) The fluorescence changes of M (TPA-PPV) are related to the state of CTAB and SDS solution. (II)Aggregated state can be formed in M (TPA-PAV) solution at low concentration of CTAB. (III) Higher concentration of KNO3 may affect the interaction between model compounds and ionic micelle-water interface.展开更多

The partial phase diagrams of SDS/PenK/H2O system at different temperatures were determined. The release amounts of PenK in SDS/n-C5H11OH/H2O system and the distribution coefficient of PenK between micelle and water were measured by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The results show that in the presence of PenK, the CMC of SDS was decreased while the TK of SDS was increased and the solubility of SDS in both water and SDS/n-C5H11OH/H2O oil in water (O/W) microemulsion was decreased, but increased in water in oil (W/O) microemulsion. SDS micelles and SDS/n- C5H11OH/H20 O/W microemulsion could accelerate the release rate of PenK. The addition of SDS and water could both increase the release rate of PenK, whereas the presence of n-C5H11OH reduced the release rate of PenK. The above results were related to the electrostatic repulsion between PenK and SDS.展开更多

In order to expend the basal spacing, montmorillonite (MMT) was modified with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and was characterized by XRD, TGA and FTIR. The results indicated that the anionic surfactants entered into interlayer of MMT and the basal spacing of MMT was expanded to 3.85 nm. The prepared composite scaffolds were characterized by FTIR, XRD and SEM. The swelling ratio, biodegradation ratio and mechanical properties of composite scaffolds were also studied. The results demonstrated that the scaffold decreased swelling ratio, degradation ratio and improved mechanical and biomineralization properties because of OMMT.展开更多
