The stability of synchronous state remains an open issue. In this paper, we study the stability of the synchronous state in coupled phase oscillators. It is found that numerical integration of differential equations of coupled phase oscillators with a finite time step may induce desynchronization at strong couplings. The mechanism behind this instability is that numerical accumulated errors in simulations may trigger the loss of stability of the synchronous state.Desynchronization critical couplings are found to increase and diverge as a power law with decreasing the integral time step. Theoretical analysis supports the local stability of the synchronized state. Globally the emergence of synchronous state depends on the initial conditions. Other metastable ordered states such as twisted states can coexist with the synchronous mode. These twisted states keep locally stable on a sparse network but lose their stability when the network becomes dense.展开更多

The presented quadrature VCO is suitable to be used, both with 2 × subharmonic mixers, as well as 4×subharmonic mixers. It would be impossible to avoid the presence of harmonics in CMOS VCO circuits. Building on recent experimental advancements, we propose the generation of synthetic gauge fields, and by including exotic vortex phases within spinor Bose-Einstein condensates, employing a combination of a running wave and Laguerre-Gaussian laser fields. We investigate the ground-state characteristics of the SOAMC condensate, revealing the emergence of exotic vortex states with controllable orbital angular momenta. It is shown that the interplay of the SOAMC and conventional spin-linear-momentum coupling induced by the running wave beam leads to the formation of a vortex state exhibiting a phase stripe hosting single multiply quantized singularity. The phase of the ground state will undergo the phase transition corresponding to the breaking of rotational symmetry while preserving the mirror symmetry. Importantly, the observed density distribution of the ground-state wavefunction, exhibiting broken rotational symmetry, can be well characterized by the synthetic magnetic field generated through light interaction with the dressed spin state. Our findings pave the way for further exploration into the rotational properties of stable exotic vortices with higher orbital angular momenta against splitting in the presence of synthetic gauge fields in ultracold quantum gases.展开更多

Stability and precrystalline form of fresh Li induced silica phase transition catalyst depend on the Li loading. A catalyst, with high lithium loading, destabilizes on OCM stream. This destabilization is not due to Li evaporation at OCM reaction conditions, α-cristobalite is proposed to be an intermediate in the crystallization of amorphous silica into quartz in the Li-induced silica phase transition process. However, the type of crystalline structure was found to be unimportant with regard to the formation of a selective catalyst. Metal-metal interactions of Li-Mn, Li-W and Mn-W, which are affected during silica phase crystallization, are found to be critical parameters of the trimetallic catalyst and were studied by TPR. Role of lithium in Li doped (Mn+W)/SiO2 catalyst is described as a moderator of the Mn-W interaction by involving W in silica phase transition. These interactions help in the improvement of transition metal redox properties, especially that of Mn, in favor of OCM selectivity.展开更多

Electron probe microanalysis, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to characterize the product phases in the joints. The results show that two intermediate phases form in the sequence of NiAl3 and Ni2Al3 during solidification. After annealed, Ni2Al3 and NiAl3 still exist in the joints of the couples. The reasons for the formation of Ni2Al3 and NiAl3, as well as the absence of NiAl, Ni5Al3 and Ni3Al were discussed, respectively. The growth kinetics of both product phase layers indicates that their growth obeys the parabolic rate law. The activation energies and frequency factors for NiAl3 and Ni2Al3 phases were also calculated according to the Arrhenius equation.展开更多

文摘Formation and growth of the intermediate phases in the Ni-Al diffusion couples prepared by pouring technique were investigated. The activation energies and frequency factors for NiAl3 and Ni2Al3 phases were also calculated according to the Arrhenius equation.

文摘In this paper, we investigate the Berry phase of two coupled arbitrary spins driven by a time-varying magnetic field where the Hamiltonian is explicitly tlme-dependent. Using a technique of time-dependent gauge transform the Berry phase and time-evolution operator are found explicitly in the adiabatic approximation. The general solutions for arbitrary spins are applied to the spin-1/2 system as an example of explanation.

文摘In marine seismic exploration, ocean bottom cable technology can record multicomponent seismic data for multiparameter inversion and imaging. This study proposes an elastic multiparameter lease-squares reverse time migration based on the ocean bottom cable technology.Herein, the wavefield continuation operators are mixed equations:the acoustic wave equations are used to calculate seismic wave propagation in the seawater medium, whereas in the solid media below the seabed, the wavefields are obtained by P-and S-wave separated vector elastic wave equations. At the seabed interface, acoustic–elastic coupling control equations are used to combine the two types of equations.P-and S-wave separated elastic migration operators, demigration operators, and gradient equations are derived to realize the elastic least-squares reverse time migration based on the P-and S-wave mode separation. The model tests verify that the proposed method can obtain high-quality images in both the P-and S-velocity components. In comparison with the traditional elastic least-squares reverse time migration method, the proposed method can readily suppress imaging crosstalk noise from multiparameter coupling.
