Silicon neutron transmutation doping remains one of the most viable nuclear applications for research reactors.Providing this kind of product involves an irradiation method capable of fulfilling the quality requirements of doping and alleviating the challenges related to the design and safety of the irradiation device.In this paper,we propose an irradiation device prototype for neutron transmutation doping of silicon ingots with diameters of 2 to 3 in.based on the Es-Salam research reactor.The thermal hydraulic analysis of the proposed irradiation device was performed to determine the optimum conditions for cooling.The effect of the mechanical vibrations induced by the circulation of coolant in the device was quantified via experimental measurements under different flow rates.The results show that the maximum temperature reached by the silicon ingots is below the temperature limit,effectively validating the design of the irradiation device.Other investigations are prospected to further optimize the design and the irradiation conditions.The irradiation of silicon ingots with a large diameter will be considered. 展开更多

Apart from clinical studies, register and routine data w... A series of events relating to inferior medical devices has brought about changes in the legal requirements regarding quality control on the part of regulators. Apart from clinical studies, register and routine data will play an essential role in this context. To ensure adequate use of these data, adapted methodologies are required as register data in fact represent a new scientific entity. For the interpretation of register and routine data several limitations of published data should be taken into account. In many cases essential parameters of study cohorts- such as age, comorbidities, the patients' risk profiles or the hospital profile- are not presented. Required data and evaluation procedures differ significantly, for example, between hip and spine implants. A "one fits for all" methodology is quite unlikely to exist and vigorous efforts will be required to develop suitable standards in the next future. The new legislation will affect all high-risk products, besides joint implants also contact lenses, cardiac pacemakers or stents, for example, the new regulations can markedly enhance product quality monitoring. Register data and clinical studies should not be considered as competitors, they complement each other when used responsibly. In the future follow-up studies should increasingly focus on specific questions, while global follow-up investigations regarding product complication rates and surgical methods will increasingly be covered by registers. 展开更多

Review of My Research Work on Ferroelectric Films and Si-Based Device Applications: Opportunity and Challenge

Ferroelectric materials have many interesting physical properties such as ferroelectricity, pyroelectricity, piezoelectricity, and opto-electricity, and applying ferroelectric materials in the forms of thin and thick films and integrating them on the silicon substrate as electronic and MEMS devices is a very attractive research area and challenging. In this paper, we report our research works on ferroelectric MEMS and ferroelectric films for electronic device applications. Pyroelectric thin film infrared sensors have been made, characterized, and a 32×32 array with its size of 1cm×1cm has been obtained on Si membrane. Ferroelectric thin films in amorphous phase have been applied to make silicon based hydrogen gas sensors with the metal/amorphous ferroelectric film/metal device structure, and its turn-on voltage of about 4.5V at ~1000 ppm in air is about 7 times of the best value reported in the literature. For the application of electron emission flat panel display, ferroelectric BST thin films with excess Ti concentrations have been coated on Si tips, the threshold voltage of those ferroelectric film coated tips has been reduced about one order from ~70 V/μm to 4~10 V/μm for different Ti concentrations, and however, the electron emission current density has been increased at least 3~4 order for those coated tips compared to that of the bare Si tips. To fulfill in the thickness gap between thin film of typical ~1 μm made by PVD/CVD and polished ceramic wafer of ~50 μm from the bulk, piezoelectric films with thickness in a range of 1~30 μm have been successfully deposited on Si substrate at a low temperature of 650oC by a novel hybridized deposition technique, and piezoelectric MEMS ultrasonic arrays have been very recently obtained with the sound pressure level up to ~120 dB. Users, especially the non-expert users, commonly experience problems when connecting multiple devices with interoperability. While studies on multiple device connections are mostly concentrated on spontaneous device association techniques with a focus on security aspects, the research on user interaction for device connection is still limited. More research into understanding people is needed for designers to devise usable techniques. This research applies the Research-through-Design method and studies the non-expert users' interactions in establishing wireless connections between devices. The "Learning from Examples" concept is adopted to develop a study focus line by learning from the expert users' interaction with devices. This focus line is then used for guiding researchers to explore the non-expert users' difficulties at each stage of the focus line. Finally, the Research-through-Design approach is used to understand the users' difficulties, gain insights to design problems and suggest usable solutions. When connecting a device, the user is required to manage not only the device's functionality but also the interaction between devices. Based on learning from failures, an important insight is found that the existing design approach to improve single-device interaction issues, such as improvements to graphical user interfaces or computer guidance, cannot help users to handle problems between multiple devices. This study finally proposes a desirable user-device interaction in which images of two devices function together with a system image to provide the user with feedback on the status of the connection, which allows them to infer any required actions. 展开更多

[Method] In view of the operation and structure of net hauler on the fishing trawler, this paper investigated the existing safety protection devices and designed a new set of purely mechanical structure without changing the original structures of the vessel significantly. [Result] Using the easily-adjustable functions of the main shaft of CNC lathe, and simulating the operation performance of different hauling line speeds and testing the safety device, the results showed that the new device could protect the crew from safety accidents caused by net hauler. [Conclusion] The result provides references for the design and application of mechanical protection devices for net haulers on other fishing trawlers. 展开更多

Since 1990,China has made considerable progress in resolving the problem of“treatment difficulty”of cardiovascular diseases(CVD).The prevalent unhealthy lifestyle among Chinese residents has exposed a massive proportion of the population to CVD risk factors,and this situation is further worsened due to the accelerated aging population in China.CVD remains one of the greatest threats to the health of Chinese residents.In terms of the proportions of disease mortality among urban and rural residents in China,CVD has persistently ranked first.In 2021,CVD accounted for 48.98%and 47.35%of deaths in rural and urban areas,respectively.Two out of every five deaths can be attributed to CVD.To implement a national policy“focusing on the primary health institute and emphasizing prevention”and truly achieve a shift of CVD prevention and treatment from hospitals to communities,the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases has organized experts from relevant fields across China to compile the“Report on Cardiovascular Health and Diseases in China”annually since 2005.The 2024 report is established based on representative,published,and high-quality big-data research results from cross-sectional and cohort population epidemiological surveys,randomized controlled clinical trials,large sample registry studies,and typical community prevention and treatment cases,along with data from some projects undertaken by the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases.These firsthand data not only enrich the content of the current report but also provide a more timely and comprehensive reflection of the status of CVD prevention and treatment in China. 展开更多

自1990年以来,我国在解决心血管病(CVD)“救治难”的问题上已经取得了长足的进步。但由于我国居民不健康生活方式流行,有CVD危险因素的人群巨大,加之人口老龄化加速,CVD仍是我国居民健康的最大威胁之一。在我国城乡居民疾病死亡构成比中... 自1990年以来,我国在解决心血管病(CVD)“救治难”的问题上已经取得了长足的进步。但由于我国居民不健康生活方式流行,有CVD危险因素的人群巨大,加之人口老龄化加速,CVD仍是我国居民健康的最大威胁之一。在我国城乡居民疾病死亡构成比中,CVD占首位,2021年分别占农村、城市死因的48.98%和47.35%;每5例死亡中就有2例死于CVD。为贯彻“以基层为重点,以预防为主”的国家方针,真正实现CVD防治主战场由医院逐步向社区转移,自2005年以来,国家心血管病中心每年组织全国相关领域的专家编撰《中国心血管健康与疾病报告》。以大样本横断面和队列人群流行病学调查、随机对照临床研究、大样本注册登记研究和社区防治典型案例等有代表性的、已发表的、高质量的研究结果为重点,今年的报告还纳入了国家心血管病中心承担的部分项目资料,这些一手数据丰富了报告内容,也更加及时、全面地反映了我国CVD防治的状况。 展开更多

目的:探讨基于无源医疗器械类医用耗材上市后监测监管的研究热点与推进路径。方法:采用数据挖掘方法对我国医疗器械监管相关机构网站和中国知网中国国家知识基础设施(CNKI)进行相关文献、文件采集;梳理医疗器械不良事件报告分项数据,提... 目的:探讨基于无源医疗器械类医用耗材上市后监测监管的研究热点与推进路径。方法:采用数据挖掘方法对我国医疗器械监管相关机构网站和中国知网中国国家知识基础设施(CNKI)进行相关文献、文件采集;梳理医疗器械不良事件报告分项数据,提取期刊文献和文件主题要素词,进行文献计量分析与可视化显示。结果:我国医疗器械不良事件报告数量逐年增加,2022年为694866份;在2019年至2022年4个统计年度数据中,无源医疗器械及体外诊断(IVD)试剂的报告数也呈并行增加趋势,占年度医疗器械不良事件报告总数的65.00%左右。期刊文献的常规文献计量表明该领域研究得到监管机构、高校院所、医疗机构及生产企业不同程度参与,监管机构贡献了46篇,占文献总数的56.79%,其次是高校28篇;词篇共现分析显示,研究热点聚集在质量管理、风险管理、国际经验解析、再评价、真实世界研究5类;我国监管机构高度重视上市后监测监管,2006年以来发布相关文件20余份,围绕安全有效愈渐深入。结论:研究热点从基于不良事件报告的质量管理、风险管理、国际经验讨论逐步向主动监测、真实世界研究等方面深入。进一步加强医疗器械尤其是无源医疗器械类医用耗材上市后监测监管需要在政府监管、医疗机构与消费者用户和生产经营企业3个维度同步推进,高校院所、行业组织协同助力,加强监测技术和方法学研究,建立真实世界研究数据资源库与数据标准,拓展不良事件监测序贯活动,研究制定风险控制和纠正预防措施,服务于我国医疗健康和产业发展。 展开更多

基于Fuzzy-PID的棉花打顶升降装置设计与试验

为解决棉花打顶机作业过程中由于仿形时与刀盘移动滞后、定位精准度低,导致的棉花漏打、过打及伤苗的问题,基于模糊控制技术对棉花打顶装置高度控制系统进行研究。以3MDZF-6棉花打顶机升降系统为分析对象,确定了刀盘在升降过程中的定位... 为解决棉花打顶机作业过程中由于仿形时与刀盘移动滞后、定位精准度低,导致的棉花漏打、过打及伤苗的问题,基于模糊控制技术对棉花打顶装置高度控制系统进行研究。以3MDZF-6棉花打顶机升降系统为分析对象,确定了刀盘在升降过程中的定位精度要求。以液压阀-液压缸为对象,在AMESim中建立打顶升降装置的控制模型,并将其导入到MatLab中,设计相应的模糊规则和模糊控制器,对其进行仿真分析,从超调量和响应时间两方面验证了PID和模糊PID控制方法的可行性。仿真结果表明:无外界干扰的情况下,PID参数分别为100800、500、30时,输入信号达到稳态的响应时间为0.55s;模糊PID控制下输入信号达到稳态的响应时间为0.31s。经过对比分析固定参数PID控制和模糊PID控制在不同扰动下的控制效果,发现模糊PID控制系统的超调量为0.84%,输入信号达到稳态所需的时间为0.39s,小于固定参数PID的0.64s。该方法实现了打顶升降装置的位移控制,提高了刀盘的定位精度及控制系统的抗干扰性和鲁棒性,可为棉田环境下的棉花打顶升降装置的精确控制问题提供借鉴。 展开更多
