This paper explores the integration of simulation technology in Engineering Mechanics(EM)teaching in vocational colleges.A case study was conducted using the tensile test as an example,and digital resources,such as colored Mises stress nephograms,were obtained.These resources were integrated into the original curriculum to conduct teaching experiments.The results show that the use of digital resources significantly improved the quality of teaching in EM.The integration of simulation technology in EM teaching provides a promising direction for the improvement of vocational education and the cultivation of high-quality skilled talents.The development and application of more simulation-based teaching cases should be studied by scholars. 展开更多

Therefore, achieving high-energy–density ZABs necessitates addressing the fundamental thermodynamics and kinetics of Zn anodes. Various strategies are available to mitigate these challenges, with electrolyte additive engineering emerging as one of the most efficient and promising approaches. Despite considerable research in this field, a comprehensive understanding of the intrinsic mechanisms behind the high performance of electrolyte additives remains limited. This review aims to provide a detailed introduction to functional electrolyte additives and thoroughly explore their underlying mechanisms. Owning various crystal structures and high theoretical capacity,metal tellurides are emerging as promising electrode materials for high-performance metal-ion batteries(MBs).Since metal telluride-based MBs are quite new,fundamental issues raise regarding the energy storage mechanism and other aspects affecting electrochemical performance.Severe volume expansion,low intrinsic conductivity and slow ion diffusion kinetics jeopardize the performance of metal tellurides,so that rational design and engineering are crucial to circumvent these disadvantages.Herein,this review provides an in-depth discussion of recent investigations and progresses of metal tellurides,beginning with a critical discussion on the energy storage mechanisms of metal tellurides in various MBs.In the following,recent design and engineering strategies of metal tellurides,including morphology engineering,compositing,defect engineering and heterostructure construction,for high-performance MBs are summarized.The primary focus is to present a comprehensive understanding of the structural evolution based on the mechanism and corresponding effects of dimension control,composition,electron configuration and structural complexity on the electrochemical performance.In closing,outlooks and prospects for future development of metal tellurides are proposed.This work also highlights the promising directions of design and engineering strategies of metal tellurides with high performance and low cost. 展开更多

Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)provides a promising way to convert CO_(2)to chemicals.The multicarbon(C_(2+))products,especially ethylene,are of great interest due to their versatile industrial applications.However,selectively reducing CO_(2)to ethylene is still challenging as the additional energy required for the C–C coupling step results in large overpotential and many competing products.Nonetheless,mechanistic understanding of the key steps and preferred reaction pathways/conditions,as well as rational design of novel catalysts for ethylene production have been regarded as promising approaches to achieving the highly efficient and selective CO_(2)RR.In this review,we first illustrate the key steps for CO_(2)RR to ethylene(e.g.,CO_(2)adsorption/activation,formation of~*CO intermediate,C–C coupling step),offering mechanistic understanding of CO_(2)RR conversion to ethylene.Then the alternative reaction pathways and conditions for the formation of ethylene and competitive products(C_1 and other C_(2+)products)are investigated,guiding the further design and development of preferred conditions for ethylene generation.Engineering strategies of Cu-based catalysts for CO_(2)RR-ethylene are further summarized,and the correlations of reaction mechanism/pathways,engineering strategies and selectivity are elaborated.Finally,major challenges and perspectives in the research area of CO_(2)RR are proposed for future development and practical applications. 展开更多

Due to the rapid advancement of the transportation industry and the continual increase in pavement infrastructure,it is difficult to keep up with the huge road maintenance task by relying only on the traditional manual detection method.Intelligent pavement detection technology with deep learning techniques is available for the research and industry areas by the gradual development of computer vision technology.Due to the different characteristics of pavement distress and the uncertainty of the external environment,this kind of object detection technology for distress classification and location still faces great challenges.This paper discusses the development of object detection technology and analyzes classical convolutional neural network(CNN)architecture.In addition to the one-stage and two-stage object detection frameworks,object detection without anchor frames is introduced,which is divided according to whether the anchor box is used or not.This paper also introduces attention mechanisms based on convolutional neural networks and emphasizes the performance of these mechanisms to further enhance the accuracy of object recognition.Lightweight network architecture is introduced for mobile and industrial deployment.Since stereo cameras and sensors are rapidly developed,a detailed summary of three-dimensional object detection algorithms is also provided.While reviewing the history of the development of object detection,the scope of this review is not only limited to the area of pavement crack detection but also guidance for researchers in related fields is shared. 展开更多

Postnatal mesenchymal stem cells have the capacity to differentiate into multiple cell lineages. This study explored the possibility of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) for potential application in tendon tissue engineering. The expression of tendon- related markers such as scleraxis, tenascin-C, tenomodulin, eye absent homologue 2, collagens I and VI was detected in dental pulp tissue. Interestingly, under mechanical stimulation, these tendon-related markers were significantly enhanced when DPSCs were seeded in aligned polyglycolic acid (PGA) fibre scaffolds. Furthermore, mature tendon-like tissue was formed after transplantation of DPSC-PGA constructs under mechanical loading conditions in a mouse model. An automated method based on the curve chain was proposed for dimensioning of engineering drawings for the mechanical products.According to the internal relation between the features of 3D model feature and elements of 2D drawing,the curve chain was established to reflect the geometric topological structure between the elements.It divides the dimensions into the absolute dimensions within the cure chain and the relative dimensions between the curve chains.The parallel and lengthy relationship between the drawing elements of the constructed X and Y parallel matrix was solved to remove redundant elements in the curve chain and labeled the absolute dimensions of the remaining valid elements.The average minimum weight coefficient was introduced to judge the dependence on the relative dimensions between curve chains.Through the analysis of the overlap between the circular rectangular areas,including all the absolute dimensions of the curve chains,overlapping curve chains were merged,and their dimensions were rearranged to avoid the cross interference between them.The method was seamlessly integrated into the drafting module of product design software NX,and it developed an automated dimensioning system.The examples show that the system has excellent interactivity and robustness in the dimensioning of product engineering drawings.The dimension information is complete,accurate and reliable. 展开更多

This paper proposes a new continuity model for engineering in rock masses and a new schematic method for reporting the engineering of rock continuity. This method can be used to evaluate the mechanics of every kind of medium;and is a new way to determine the mechanical parameters used in engineering design in rock masses. In the numerical simulation, the experimental parameters of intact rock were combined with the structural properties of field rock. Theexperimental results for orthogonally-jointed rock are given. The results included the curves of the stress-strain relationship of some rock masses, the curve of the relationship between the dimension Δ and the uniaxial pressure-resistant strength σc of these rock masses, and pictures of the destructive procedure of some rock masses in uniaxial or triaxial tests, etc. Application of the method to engineering design in rock masses showed the potential of its application to engineering practice. 展开更多

The optimization of the scaffolds to provide a suitable matrix and accelerate the regeneration process is vital for bone tissue engineering.However,poor mechanical and biological characteristics remain the primary challenges that must be addressed.For example,although bredigite(Br)has shown great potential for application in bone tissue engineering,it easily fails in replacement.In the present work,these challenges are addressed by reinforcing the Br matrix with nanosheets of graphene oxide(rGO)that have been reduced by bovine serum albumin(BSA)in order to enhance the mechanical properties and biological behavior.The reduction of graphene oxide by BSA improves the water stability of the nanosheets and provides an electrostatic interaction between theBSA-rGO nanosheets and theBr particles.The high thermal conductivity of theBSA-rGO nanosheets decreases the porosity of the Br by transferring heat to the core of the tablet.Furthermore,the addition of BSA-rGO nanosheets into the Br matrix enhances the adhesion of G-292 cells on the surface of the tablets.These findings suggest that the tablet consisting of BSA-rGO-reinforced Br has encouraging potential for application in bone tissue engineering. 展开更多

School of Information Science & Engineering, Northeast University, Shenyang 110004, China)Abstract: A main characteristic of the reconfigurable mobile robot AMOEBA-1 is that it has diverse configurations, but some reconfigurations are difficult to realize under the influence of ground conditions. A cooperative reconfiguration method is proposed to reduce reconfiguration resistance and enhance the adaptability of the robot to the environment. The mathematical model is established correspondingly. The kinematics and mechanical properties of each section of the robot are analyzed. A part of resistance is transformed into active force of reconfiguration, and transforms are actualized among five specific configurations. Further, the linearization of model based on a perturbation analysis method is used to reduce the computational complexity. Finally, an evaluation criterion is proposed for AMOEBA-I's cooperative reconfiguration performance. Cells in vivo are in a three-dimensional(3D)complicated microenvironment composed of various biological,physical and chemical cues.Although it is well accepted that biological and chemical cues can significantly influence cell functions,more and more evidence has also shown that physical cues are also vital.Using today’s micro and nanoscale technologies,creating synthetic but native-like conditions are the prerequisites for understanding cell behaviors.Most research has been carried out on artificial two-dimensional(2D)substrates.However,recent studies showed that cells respond and behave differently in these 2D settings compared to in 3D intricate microenvironment.Therefore,innovative 3D in vitro cellular models with precisely patterned multiple types of cells are needed for re-creating distinct niches and in vitro cell modeling under well-defined and reproducible conditions.In this talk,I will present the 3D nano and microscale tissue engineering methods we are developing for engineering cell spatiotemporal mechanical microenvironment. 展开更多
