Discharge characte... The analysis of cutting regularity is provided through using and comparing two typical cooling liquids. It is proved that cutting regularity is greatly affected by cooling liquid's washing ability. Discharge characteristics and theoretic analysis between two electrodes are also discussed based on discharge waveform. By using composite cooling liquid which has strong washing ability, the efficiency in the first stable cutting phase has reached more than 200 mm^2/min, and the roughness of the surface has reached Ra〈0.8 μm after the fourth cutting with more than 50 mm^2/min average cutting efficiency. It is pointed out that cutting situation of the wire cut electrical discharge machine with high wire traveling speed (HSWEDM) is better than the wire cut electrical discharge machine with low wire traveling speed (LSWEDM) in the condition of improving the cooling liquid washing ability. The machining indices of HSWEDM will be increased remarkably by using the composite cooling liquid. 展开更多

Automotive industry,as an important pillar of the national economy,has been rapidly developing in recent years.But proplems such as energy comsumption and environmental pollution are posed at the same time.Electro-mechanical variable transmission system is considered one of avilable workarounds.It is brought forward a kind of design methods of dual-mode electro-mechanical variable transmission system rotational speed characteristics and dual-mode drive diagrams.With the motor operating behavior of running in four quadrants and the speed characteristics of the simple internal and external meshing single planetary gear train,four kinds of dual-mode electro-mechanical transmission system scheme are designed.And the velocity,torque and power characteristics of one of the programs are analyzed.The magnitude of the electric split-flow power is an important factor which influences the system performance,so in the parameters matching design,it needs to reduce the power needs under the first mode of the motor.The motor,output rotational speed range and the position of the mode switching point have relationships with the characteristics design of the planetary gear set.The analysis method is to provide a reference for hybrid vehicles' design.As the involved rotational speed and torque relationships are the natural contact of every part of transmission system,a theory basis of system program and performance analysis is provided. 展开更多

The effects of high drawing speeds on parameters of holey fibers are presented. A holey fiber preform structure was made by using tube-in-tube method and was drawn at high speeds with an aim of mass production to meet the demand of next generation communication systems. Transmission parameters such as numerical aperture and normalized frequency of the fabricated holey fibers have been measured and compared with theoretical values based on effective index method. Although the fabricated holey fibers were not of high quality, the analyses of the parameters have shown promising outlook for fabrication of such fibers. 展开更多

The noncircular synchronous belt drive mechanism has demonstrated certain achievements and has been used in special fields.Research regarding noncircular synchronous belt drive mechanisms has focused on optimization design and kinematic analysis in China,whereas two pulley noncircular synchronous belt transmissions have been developed overseas.However,owing to the noncircular characteristics of the belt pulley,the real-time variation in the belt length slack during the transmission of the noncircular synchronous belt is significant,resulting in high probabilities of skipping and vibration.In this study,a noncircular tensioning pulley is added to create a stable three-pulley noncircular synchronous belt driving mechanism and a good synchronous belt tensioning,with no skipping;hence,the non-uniform output characteristic of the driven pulley is consistent with the theoretical value.In the circular noncircular noncircular three-pulley noncircular synchronous belt mechanism,the pitch curve of the driving synchronous belt pulley is circular,whereas those of the driven synchronous belt and tensioning pulleys are noncircular.To minimize the slack of the belt length of the synchronous belt and the constraint of the concavity and circumference of the tensioning pulley,an automatic optimization model of the tensioning pulley pitch curve is established.The motion simulation,analysis,and optimization code for a three-belt-pulley noncircular synchronous belt drive mechanism is written,and the variation in belt length slack under different speed ratios is analyzed based on several examples.The testbed for a circular-noncircular-noncircular three-pulley noncircular synchronous belt transmission mechanism is developed.The test shows that the three-pulley noncircular synchronous belt drives well.This study proposes an automatic optimization algorithm for the tensioning pulley pitch curve of a noncircular synchronous belt transmission mechanism;it yields a stable transmission of the noncircular synchronous belt transmission mechanism as well as non-uniform output characteristics. 展开更多

These nonlinear and unsieady phenoniena of high-level speed may further expand to the theory of kinematics and it may be determined by Fredholm's integral equation of the first kind. The acceleration saltation of the traditional S-type acceleration model in the speed planning of the NURBS curve will result in the vibration and flexible impact of the machine tool.It will affect the surface quality of the components.The high speed smooth S-type acceleration and deceleration model deals with flexible impact,but the calculation is tedious.Aimed at the above problems,the traditional S-type acceleration and deceleration model is improved to make the jerk change linearly at a certain slope to reduce the flexible impact.Before the speed planning,it is needed to find the arc length and curvature of each point on the NURBS curve with a tiny step,and to determine the speed sensitivity point on the curve accordingly.According to the speed sensitive point,the NURBS curve is segmented.The attribute parameters of each section are determined by adaptive speed planning.Then,the speed planning can be performed on the NURBS curve according to the speed characteristics classification.The simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively reduce the flexible impact,improve the machining precision and efficiency,and simplify the classification of speed characteristics. 展开更多

Research on windmill starting characteristics of MTE-D micro turbine engine

Micro turbine engine (MTE) is an important kind of propulsion system for miniature unmanned aircraft or missiles, because of its better high-speed performance (than propeller propulsion) and higher propulsion efficiency (obviously than rockets). Windmill start is a common air-starting mode used in micro turbine engine. The windmill starting characteristics are important to the practical use of micro turbine engine. In this paper, the windmill starting characteristics research for a 12 cm diameter (MTE-D) micro turbine engine is carried out by experiment and numerical simulation. The characteristic of rotor mechanical losses at low-speed condition is stud- ied, and the engine common working line of windmill starting process is obtained. Based on the engine windmill characteristics, the propane ignition characteristics under different inflow conditions are researched, and the envelope of propane ignition and propane flameout is determined. The experimental research of fuel supply and ignition characteristics is completed, and the envelope of fuel supply and ignition is obtained. The windmill stage, propane ignition stage, fuel ignition stage and acceleration process from idling-speed to 80% full speed of MTE-D micro turbine engine is optimized, and the optimization windmill starting parameters are collected. The successful wind-mill starting experiment under this condition with engine speed up to 80% full speed indicates that these starting parameters are reasonable. All the starting parameters of MTE-D micro turbine engine obtained in this work are dimensionless parameters, and the conclusions obtained in this study have some reference to other micro turbine engines with the similar structural form and starting process. 展开更多

Effects of rotational speeds on the performance of a centrifugal pump with a variable-pitch inducer 被引量:4

The centrifugal pumps usually work at various rotational speeds. The variation in the rotational speeds will affect the internal flow, the external performance, and the anti-cavitation performance of the pump. In order to improve the anti-cavitation performance of the centrifugal pumps, variable-pitch inducers are placed upstream of the impeller. Because the rotational speeds directly affect the flow and the performance of the pump, it is essential to characterize the performance of the pump with a variable-pitch inducer at various rotational speeds. In this paper, the simulations and the experimental tests of a centrifugal pump with a variable-pitch inducer are designed and carried out under various rotational speed conditions. Navier-Stokes equations, coupled with a Reynolds average simulation approach, are used in the simulations. In the experimental tests, the external and anti-cavitation performances of the pump are investigated in a closed system. The following results are obtained from the simulations. Firstly, the velocity in the passage of the inducer rises with the increase of the rotational speed. Secondly, the static pressure escalates on the inducer and the impeller with the increase of the rotational speed. Thirdly, the static pressure distribution on the inducer and the impeller is asymmetric. Fourthly, the anti-cavitation performance of the pump deteriorates with the increase of the rotational speed. Additional results are gathered from an analysis of the experiments. H-Q curves are similar parabolas at various rotational speeds, while η-Q curves are similar parabolas only when n ≤6 000 r/min. The anti-cavitation performance of the pump deteriorates with the increase of the rotational speed. Finally, the simulation results are found to be consistent with the experimental results. 展开更多
