Meanwhile strong earthquakes in the Chinese mainland usually cluster in time and space. We call earthquakes in groups. Tectonic blocks separated by faults and earthquakes in groups are prominent features of the tectonics of the Chi-nese mainland. Correlation between movement of tectonic blocks and groups of earthquakes is discussed in this paper. The results show that earthquakes in groups often occurred at one or several block boundary faults. The released elastic strain energy is built up in the same periods and around blocks. It means that strong earthquakes in groups are mainly caused by movement of blocks. Four types of block movement are identified based ongroup earthquakes: movement along a single boundary of a block (or a combined blocks), movement of a single block, movement of multi-blocks, and movement in block interiors. If we consider distribution of all strong earthquakes occurred in the Chinese mainland, the movement along a single boundary of a block is more popular one inducing strong earthquakes. But if we only consider earthquakes in groups rather than single earthquakesthe movement of a block dominates among four modes. Statistics with respect to group earthquakes show that the Taihangshan mountain and the North China block are much active in the eastern part of Chinese mainland, and in western part of Chinese mainland the active blocks are Sichuan-Yunnan and the Kunlun-Songpan ones.展开更多

The previous AZBs detection algorithms are reviewed. Three types of transformed frequency-domain coefficients, which are quantized to zeros, are analyzed. Based on the three types of frequencydomain scaling factors, the corresponding spatial coefficients are derived. Then the Schwarz inequality is applied to the derivation of the three thresholds based on spatial coefficients. Another threshold is set on the basis of the probability distribution of zero coefficients in a block. As a result, an adaptive AZBs detection algorithm is proposed based on the minimum of the former three thresholds and the threshold of zero blocks distribution. The simulation results show that, compared with the existing AZBs detection algorithms, the proposed algorithm achieves a 5% higher detection ratio in AZBs and 4% to 10% computation saving with only 0. 1 dB video quality degradation.展开更多

The eastern segment of CAOB is dominated by Paleozoic Paleo Asian Ocean tectonic regime, Mesozoic Paleo-Pacific tectonic regime and Mongolian-Okhotsk tectonic regime. The Songliao and Jiamusi blocks are located in the easternmost part of the CAOB and are the key region to solve the problem about overprinting processes of multiple tectonic regimes. It is generally believed that the Mudanjiang Ocean between the two blocks was finally closed in the Mesozoic, but the Paleozoic magmatism also developed along the Mudanjiang suture zone, while on both sides of the suture zone, there were comparable Paleozoic strata, indicating that the two blocks had converged during the Paleozoic, and the evolution history of the two blocks in the Late Paleozoic remains controversial. The Carboniferous-Permian terrestrial strata mainly developed in Binxian, Wuchang and Tieli on Songliao Block, Baoqing and Mishan on Jiamusi Block. Samples from the Songliao and Jiamusi blocks in the Late Carboniferous-Early Permian and Late Permian are collected for comparative analysis. The LAICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating results show that the maximum depositional age of Middle Permian Tumenling Formation and Late Permian Hongshan Formation in Songliao Block is ~260 Ma, while that of Tatouhe Formation and Carboniferous strata in Jiamusi Block are ~290 Ma and ~300 Ma, respectively, which supports the previous stratigraphic division scheme. The age peaks of ~290-300 Ma, ~400 Ma, ~500 Ma appeared in the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian strata of Jiamusi Block and the Middle Permian strata of Songliao Block. The age peak of ~500 Ma in the Middle Permian strata of Songliao Block may come from the Cambrian basement, Mashan Complex, of Jiamusi Block, while the age peaks of ~420-440 Ma in the Carboniferous strata of Jiamusi Block may come from the Silurian magmatic arc in Zhangguangcai Range in the eastern margin of Songliao Block, reflects the history that they had been potential sources of each other, indicating that they may have combined in the Paleozoic. The Hongshan Formation of Songliao Block in the Late Permian lacks the age peak of ~500 Ma, which indicate that Jiamusi Block was not the provenance of Songliao Block in the Late Permian, that is, there was a palaeogeographic isolation between the two blocks. Combined with the ~210 Ma bimodal volcanic rocks developed along the Mudanjiang suture zone reported previously, we believe that the oceanic basin between the Songliao and Jiamusi blocks should have been connected in Late Permian and reopened during Late Permian to Late Triassic.展开更多

Because the location, size, shape and intensity of brain tumors vary greatly, itis very difficult to segment these brain tumor regions automatically. In this paper, by combining the advantagesof DenseNet and ResNet, we proposed a new 3D U-Net with dense encoder blocks and residual decoder blocks. We used dense blocks in the encoder part and residual blocks in the decoder part. The number of output featuremaps increases with the network layers in contracting path of encoder, which is consistent with the characteristicsof dense blocks. Using dense blocks can decrease the number of network parameters, deepen network layers, strengthen feature propagation, alleviate vanishing-gradient and enlarge receptive fields. The residual blockswere used in the decoder to replace the convolution neural block of original U-Net, which made the networkperformance better. Our proposed approach was trained and validated on the BraTS2019 training and validationdata set. We obtained dice scores of 0.901, 0.815 and 0.766 for whole tumor, tumor core and enhancing tumorcore respectively on the BraTS2019 validation data set. Our method has the better performance than the original3D U-Net. The results of our experiment demonstrate that compared with some state-of-the-art methods, ourapproach is a competitive automatic brain tumor segmentation method.展开更多

Combined with the ~210 Ma bimodal volcanic rocks developed along the Mudanjiang suture zone reported previously, we believe that the oceanic basin between the Songliao and Jiamusi blocks should have been connected in Late Permian and reopened during Late Permian to Late Triassic.

文摘The main task of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) automatic brain tumor segmentation is to automaticallysegment the brain tumor edema, peritumoral edema, endoscopic core, enhancing tumor core and nonenhancingtumor core from 3D MR images. The results of our experiment demonstrate that compared with some state-of-the-art methods, ourapproach is a competitive automatic brain tumor segmentation method.
