Especially, a more accurate estimate of the settling-time function is exhibited for fixedtime stability, and it is still extraneous to the initial conditions. This can be applied to obtain less conservative convergence time of the practical systems without the information of the initial conditions. As an application, the given fixed-time stability theorem is used to resolve time-varying(TV) convex optimization problem.By the Newton's method, two classes of new dynamical systems are constructed to guarantee that the solution of the dynamic system can track to the optimal trajectory of the unconstrained and equality constrained TV convex optimization problems in fixed time, respectively. Without the exact knowledge of the time derivative of the cost function gradient, a fixed-time dynamical non-smooth system is established to overcome the issue of robust TV convex optimization. Two examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed TV convex optimization algorithms. Subsequently, the fixed-time stability theory is extended to the theories of predefined-time/practical predefined-time stability whose bound of convergence time can be arbitrarily given in advance, without tuning the system parameters. Under which, TV convex optimization problem is solved. The previous two examples are used to demonstrate the validity of the predefined-time TV convex optimization algorithms.展开更多

It is of significance to study the evolution laws and failure mechanism of landslides based on its surface 3D deformation information. Based on the rainfall-triggered waste dump instability model test, we studied the failure mechanisms of the waste dump by integrating surface deformation and internal slope stress and proposed novel parameters for identifying landslide stability. We developed a noncontact measurement device, which can obtain millimeter-level 3D deformation data for surface scene in physical model test; Then we developed the similar materials and established a test model for a waste dump. Based on the failure characteristics of slope surface, internal stress of slope body and displacement contours during the whole process, we divided the slope instability process in model test into four stages: rainfall infiltration and surface erosion, shallow sliding, deep sliding, and overall instability. Based on the obtained surface deformation data, we calculated the volume change during slope instability process and compared it with the point displacement on slope surface. The results showed that the volume change can not only reflect the slow-ultra acceleration process of slope failure, but also fully reflect the above four stages and reduce the fluctuations caused by random factors. Finally, this paper proposed two stability identification parameters: the volume change rate above the slip surface and the relative velocity of volume change rate. According to the calculation of these two parameters in model test, they can be used for study the deformation and failure mechanism of slope stability.展开更多

文摘In this article, a general Lyapunov stability theory of nonlinear systems is put forward and it contains asymptotic/finite-time/fast finite-time/fixed-time stability. The previous two examples are used to demonstrate the validity of the predefined-time TV convex optimization algorithms.

文摘Landslide is the second largest natural disaster after earthquake. According to the calculation of these two parameters in model test, they can be used for study the deformation and failure mechanism of slope stability.

文摘Solid-state electrolytes with high oxidation stability are crucial for achieving high power density allsolid-state lithium batteries.Halide electrolytes are promising candidates due to their outstanding compatibility with cathode materials and high Li^(+)conductivity. However, the electrochemical stability of chloride electrolytes is still limited, leaving them unsuitable for ultrahigh voltage operation.Besides, chemical compatibility issue between sulfide and halide electrolytes affects the electrochemical performance of all-solid-state batteries.Herein,Li-ion conductor Li_(3+x)InCl_(6-x)O_(x) is designed to address these challenges.Li_(3.25)InCl_(5.75)O_(0.25)shows a Li-ion conductivity of 0.90 mS cm^(-1)at room temperature,a high onset oxidation voltage of 3.84 V,fewer by-products at ultrahigh operation voltage, and good chemical compatibility with Li_(5.5)PS_(4.5)Cl_(1.5).The Li_(3.25)InCl_(5.75)O_(0.25)@LiNi_(0.7)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)-Li_(3.25)InCl_(5.75)O_(0.25)-VGCF/Li_(3.25)InCl_(5.75)O_(0.25)/Li_(5.5)PS_(4.5)Cl_(1.5)/Li-In battery delivers good electrochemical performances at high operating voltage. This work provides a simple, economical, and effective strategy for designing high-voltage all-solid-state electrolytes.

文摘Underground energy and resource development, deep underground energy storage and other projects involve the global stability of multiple interconnected cavern groups under internal and external dynamic disturbances. An evaluation method of the global stability coefficient of underground caverns based on static overload and dynamic overload was proposed.Firstly, the global failure criterion for caverns was defined based on its band connection of plastic-strain between multi-caverns.Then,overloading calculation of the boundary geostress and seismic intensity on the caverns model was carried out,and the critical unstable state of multi-caverns can be identified,if the plastic-strain band appeared between caverns during these overloading processes. Thus, the global stability coefficient for the multi-caverns under static loading and earthquake was obtained based on the corresponding overloading coefficient.Practical analysis for the Yingliangbao(YLB)hydraulic caverns indicated that this method can not only effectively obtain the global stability coefficient of caverns under static and dynamic earthquake conditions, but also identify the caverns’high-risk zone of local instability through localized plastic strain of surrounding rock. This study can provide some reference for the layout design and seismic optimization of underground cavern group.

文摘Elevating the operating voltage is an effective approach to improve the reversible capacity of ultra-high nickel layered oxide cathode LiNi_(x)Co_(y)Mn_(z)O_(2)(NCM,x≥0.8)and solve the"range anxiety"confusion of electric vehicles. However, the undesirable surface reconstruction induced by the high cut-off voltage has a fatal impact on the thermodynamic stability of the material, inevitably leading to fast capacity degradation.Herein,a mechanical fusion aided by alcohol is suggested to create a stable olivine structure for the single-crystal(SC)ultrahigh-nickel cathode LiNi_(0.92)Co_(0.04)Mn_(0.04)O_(2).The addition of nanoparticles effectively bridges the void of SC-NCM,builds an ideal particle grading, and significantly raises the cost efficiency,as well as promotes the cycling stability and safety of the full cell.Remarkably, the layered/olivine mixture forms a perfect shield by lowering the surface area between the NCM cathode and electrolyte, hence mitigating side reactions and contributing to an incredibly thin and stable cathode/electrolyte interface.Furthermore, the thermodynamic stability of highly delithiated NCM is improved,as both the particle cracks and structural degradation are simultaneously postponed.Consequently, the maximum temperature of the single-crystal LiNi_(0.92)Co_(0.04)Mn_(0.04)O_(2)@LiFePO_(4)‖graphite pouch full cell is dramatically reduced from 599.4 to 351.4℃,and the full cell achieves 88.2%capacity retention after 800 cycles, demonstrating excellent thermal stability and cycling stability. This facile strategy provides a feasible technical reference for further exploiting the ultrahigh-capacity,highsafety,and long-life Ni-rich cathode for commercial application of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).

文摘The development of superhydrophobic materials has demonstrated significant potential in the realm ofcorrosion protection for aluminum alloy(Al alloy)surfaces. However, the limited mechanical stability ofsuperhydrophobic surfaces has impeded the rapid advancement in this field. In this research,we synthesized analuminum phosphate(AP)inorganic binder and combined it with hydrophobic fumed SiO_(2)(HF-SiO_(2))nanoparticles andpolydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)to develop a HF-SiO_(2)@PDMS@AP superhydrophobic composite coating with improvedmechanical stability on Al alloy substrates using a simple spray-coating technique. The findings indicate that the additionof the AP inorganic binder significantly enhanced the coating’s resistance to abrasion, maintaining its superhydrophobicproperties and micro-nano hierarchical structure even after being subjected to a sandpaper abrasion distance of 2000 cm.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)testing showed that the low-frequency modulus(|Z|0.01Hz)of theHF-SiO_(2)@PDMS@AP superhydrophobic coating increased by four orders of magnitude compared to the initial Al alloysubstrate, resulting in a substantial improvement in corrosion protection capacity. The impressive corrosion resistanceand mechanical stability exhibited by this coating have the potential to greatly expand the practical applications of suchmaterials for surface functional protection in marine and industrial environments.
文摘The network of Himalayan roadways and highways connects some remote regions of valleys or hill slopes, which is vital for India’s socio-economic growth.Due to natural and artificial factors, frequency of slope instabilities along the networks has been increasing over last few decades.Assessment of stability of natural and artificial slopes due to construction of these connecting road networks is significant in safely executing these roads throughout the year.Several rock mass classification methods are generally used to assess the strength and deformability of rock mass. This study assesses slope stability along the NH-1A of Ramban district of North Western Himalayas.Various structurally and non-structurally controlled rock mass classification systems have been applied to assess the stability conditions of 14 slopes. For evaluating the stability of these slopes, kinematic analysis was performed along with geological strength index(GSI),rock mass rating(RMR),continuous slope mass rating(CoSMR),slope mass rating(SMR),and Q-slope in the present study. The SMR gives three slopes as completely unstable while CoSMR suggests four slopes as completely unstable. The stability of all slopes was also analyzed using a design chart under dynamic and static conditions by slope stability rating(SSR)for the factor of safety(FoS)of 1.2 and 1 respectively.Q-slope with probability of failure(PoF)1%gives two slopes as stable slopes.Stable slope angle has been determined based on the Q-slope safe angle equation and SSR design chart based on the FoS.The value ranges given by different empirical classifications were RMR(37-74),GSI(27.3-58.5),SMR(11-59),and CoSMR(3.39-74.56).Good relationship was found among RMR&SSR and RMR&GSI with correlation coefficient(R 2)value of 0.815 and 0.6866,respectively.Lastly,a comparative stability of all these slopes based on the above classification has been performed to identify the most critical slope along this road.

文摘Data-driven approaches such as neural networks are increasingly used for deep excavations due to the growing amount of available monitoring data in practical projects. However, most neural network models only use the data from a single monitoring point and neglect the spatial relationships between multiple monitoring points.Besides, most models lack flexibility in providing predictions for multiple days after monitoring activity. This study proposes a sequence-to-sequence(seq2seq)two-dimensional(2D)convolutional long short-term memory neural network(S2SCL2D)for predicting the spatiotemporal wall deflections induced by deep excavations. The model utilizes the data from all monitoring points on the entire wall and extracts spatiotemporal features from data by combining the 2D convolutional layers and long short-term memory(LSTM)layers. The S2SCL2D model achieves a long-term prediction of wall deflections through a recursive seq2seq structure. The excavation depth, which has a significant impact on wall deflections,is also considered using a feature fusion method. An excavation project in Hangzhou,China,is used to illustrate the proposed model. The results demonstrate that the S2SCL2D model has superior prediction accuracy and robustness than that of the LSTM and S2SCL1D(one-dimensional)models.The prediction model demonstrates a strong generalizability when applied to an adjacent excavation.Based on the long-term prediction results, practitioners can plan and allocate resources in advance to address the potential engineering issues.

文摘Basalt is a major component of the earth and moon crust.Mineral composition and temperature influence frictional instability and thus the potential for seismicity on basaltic faults. We performed velocitystepping shear experiments on basalt gouges at a confining pressure of 100 MPa,temperatures in the range of 100-400℃ and with varied obsidian mass fractions of 0-100%under wet/dry conditions to investigate the frictional strength and stability of basaltic faults. We observe a transition from velocity-neutral to velocity-weakening behaviors with increasing obsidian content. The frictional stability response of the mixed obsidian/basalt gouges is characterized by a transition from velocitystrengthening to velocity-weakening at 200℃ and another transition to velocity-strengthening at temperatures>300℃.Conversely,frictional strengths of the obsidian-bearing gouges are insensitive to temperature and wet/dry conditions. These results suggest that obsidian content dominates the potential seismic response of basaltic faults with the effect of temperature controlling the range of seismogenic depths. Thus, shallow moonquakes tend to occur in the lower lunar crust due to the corresponding anticipated higher glass content and a projected temperature range conducive to velocity-weakening behavior. These observations contribute to a better understanding of the nucleation mechanism of shallow seismicity in basaltic faults.

文摘Different from oil and gas production, hydrate reservoirs are shallow and unconsolidated, whose mechanical properties deteriorate with hydrate decomposition. Therefore, the formations will undergo significant subsidence during depressurization, which will destroy the original force state of the production well. However, existing research on the stability of oil and gas production wells assumes the formation to be stable, and lacks consideration of the force exerted on the hydrate production well by formation subsidence caused by hydrate decomposition during production. To fill this gap, this paper proposes an analytical method for the dynamic evolution of the stability of hydrate production well considering the effects of hydrate decomposition.Based on the mechanical model of the production well, the basis for stability analysis has been proposed.A multi-field coupling model of the force state of the production well considering the effect of hydrate decomposition and formation subsidence is established, and a solver is developed. The analytical approach is verified by its good agreement with the results from the numerical method.A case study found that the decomposition of hydrate will increase the pulling-down force and reduce the supporting force, which is the main reason for the stability deterioration. The higher the initial hydrate saturation, the larger the reservoir thickness, and the lower the production pressure, the worse the stability or even instability. This work can provide a theoretical reference for the stability maintaining of the production well.

文摘Degradation of rock mass produced by rock blasting, stress relief, and other causes is an important factor in the assessment of rock strength.Quantified as a disturbance factor, such degradation varies depending on blasting control, stress state and stress relief, and rock mass quality. This study focuses on the impact of disturbance on the safety of slopes. The disturbance in the rock mass is characterized by the geometry of the disturbed zone, its size, the magnitude, and the decaying rate with the distance away from the slope surface.A method accounting for decay of rock disturbance is presented.A study of the impact of rock disturbance characteristics on the quantitative stability measures of slopes was carried out. These characteristics included disturbed zone geometry, its thickness, the maximum magnitude of the disturbance factor, and the rate of disturbance decaying. The thickness of the disturbed zone and the maximum factor of disturbance were found to have the greatest impact. For example, the factor of safety for a 45slope in low-quality rock mass can decrease from 1.96 to 1.09 as the thickness of the disturbed zone increases from 1/4 of slope height H to the double of H and the maximum disturbance factor increases from 0.5 to 1.Uniform thickness of a disturbed zone was found to yield more conservative outcomes than the triangular zones did.The critical failure surfaces were found to be shallow for high rates of disturbance decay, and they were the deepest for spatially uniform disturbance factors.
文摘The influence of variable viscosity and double diffusion on the convective stability of a nanofluid flow in an inclined porous channel is investigated. The DarcyBrinkman model is used to characterize the fluid flow dynamics in porous materials. The analytical solutions are obtained for the unidirectional and completely developed flow.Based on a normal mode analysis, the generalized eigenvalue problem under a perturbed state is solved. The eigenvalue problem is then solved by the spectral method. Finally, the critical Rayleigh number with the corresponding wavenumber is evaluated at the assigned values of the other flow-governing parameters. The results show that increasing the Darcy number, the Lewis number, the Dufour parameter,or the Soret parameter increases the stability of the system, whereas increasing the inclination angle of the channel destabilizes the flow.Besides, the flow is the most unstable when the channel is vertically oriented.
文摘In this paper, the authors establish some theorems that can ascertain the zero solutions of systemsx(n+1)=f(n,x n)(1)are uniformly stable, asymptotically stable or uniformly asymptotically stable. In the obtained theorems, ΔV is not required to be always negative, where ΔV(n,x n)≡V(n+1,x(n+1)) -V(n,x(n))=V(n+1,f(n,x n))-V(n,x(n)), especially, in Theorem 1, ΔV may be even positive, which greatly improve the known results and are more convenient to use.
