The microstructure, o-phase, and impact fraetograph of the welded joints were analyzed using optical microscope and scanning electron mieroseope. The results show that the fusion zone consists of ferrite, chromium nitride, and secondary aastenite precipitation when welding is performed at low heat input (0. 5 kJ/mm). However, the increase in heat input causes precipitation of brittle o" phase at the y/c~ interface in weld metal and heat-affected zone, as well as a brittle fracture along the grain boundary. Heat input in the range of O. 5 kJ/mm to 1.5 kJ/mm is suitable for joining SAF2507 plates.展开更多

In this study, submerged arc welding( SAW) was used to weld Baosteel ship clad plates( 2205 + DH36),and the performance of the welded joints was tested. The results indicate that the mechanical properties and the corrosion resistance of the welded joints meet the required specifications. The distribution of the main anti-corrosive elements and the phase ratio of the welded joint are analyzed, thereby indicating excellent uniformity and confirming that the welded joint is corrosion resistant.展开更多

The CF experiments were conducted under the conditions of electrochemically accelerated, free immersion and pre-polarized pitting potential. The results showed that 316L stainless steel was susceptible to pitting corrosion in Hank's solution. Intergranular corrosion occurred obviously at the bottom of pits where the CF cracks initiated by the combined action of alternating stress and corrosive medium for the notch effect of stress concentrated in the grain boundaries. The CF crack propagation is both intergranular and transgranular.展开更多

The purposes of the present study are to examine the surface strain distribution in the weld metal of a full thickness welded joint specimen and subsequently to investigate the local variation in the properties of the all-weld metal part of the joint using miniature specimens. A welded joint was prepared for 316FR steel plates by gas tungsten arc welding process using Mod. 316L filler wire. Creep tests were conducted at 823K in air using full thickness large welded joint specimens, HAZ and all-weld metal miniature specimens. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the creep properties of multi-layer welded joints strongly depend on the location of specimen sampling.展开更多
