It also proposes a best the...This paper proposes a thermal analytical model of current gain for bipolar junction transistor-bipolar static induction transistor (BJT-BSIT) compound device in the low current operation. It also proposes a best thermal compensating factor to the compound device that indicates the relationship between the thermal variation rate of current gain and device structure. This is important for the design of compound device to be optimized. Finally, the analytical model is found to be in good agreement with numerical simulation and experimental results. The test results demonstrate that thermal variation rate of current gain is below 10% in 25 ℃-85 ℃ and 20% in -55 ℃-25 ℃.展开更多

The significant decrease in battery performance at low temperatures is one of the critical challenges that electric vehicles(EVs)face,thereby affecting the penetration rate in cold regions.Alternating current(AC)heati...The significant decrease in battery performance at low temperatures is one of the critical challenges that electric vehicles(EVs)face,thereby affecting the penetration rate in cold regions.Alternating current(AC)heating has attracted widespread attention due to its low energy consumption and uniform heating advantages.This paper introduces the recent advances in AC heating from the perspective of practical EV applications.First,the performance degradation of EVs in low-temperature environments is introduced briefly.The concept of AC heating and its research methods are provided.Then,the effects of various AC heating methods on battery heating performance are reviewed.Based on existing studies,the main factors that affect AC heating performance are analyzed.Moreover,various heating circuits based on EVs are categorized,and their cost,size,complexity,efficiency,reliability,and heating rate are elaborated and compared.The evolution of AC heaters is presented,and the heaters used in brand vehicles are sorted out.Finally,the perspectives and challenges of AC heating are discussed.This paper can guide the selection of heater implementation methods and the optimization of heating effects for future EV applications.展开更多
Since the aerodynamic center moving backward sharply in hypersonic flight,the stability margin of the hypersonic vehicle increases largely while the maneuverability decreases.We proposed a novel method to solve this c...Since the aerodynamic center moving backward sharply in hypersonic flight,the stability margin of the hypersonic vehicle increases largely while the maneuverability decreases.We proposed a novel method to solve this contradiction.We used relaxed static stability(RSS)to improve the maneuverability in hypersonic flight,and designed the stability augmentation system(SAS)to ensure the stability in subsonic flight.Therefore,the relationship between static stability and maneuverability was quantitatively analyzed in the first step,and the numerical value of RSS was obtained on the premise of good maneuverability.Secondly,the relationship between static stability and aerodynamic parameters was quantitatively analyzed.We properly adjusted aerodynamic parameters based on the quantitative relationship to achieve the specific static stability set in the first step,and therefore provided the engineering realization methods.The vehicle will be statically unstable in subsonic flight with the specific static stability.Lastly,SAS was needed to ensure the stability of the vehicle in subsonic flight.Simulation studies were conducted by comparing the linear SAS to the nonlinear SAS,and the results showed that the nonlinear dynamicinversion controller can synthesize with proportional-integrall-derivative(PID)controller robustly and stabilize the hypersonic vehicle.展开更多
The types and quantities of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) inside vehicles have been determined in one new vehicle and two old vehicles under static conditions using the Thermodesorber-Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spec...The types and quantities of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) inside vehicles have been determined in one new vehicle and two old vehicles under static conditions using the Thermodesorber-Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (TD-GC/MS). Air sampling and analysis was conducted under the requirement of USEPA Method TO-17. A room-size, environment test chamber was utilized to provide stable and accurate control of the required environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, horizontal and vertical airflow velocity, and background VOCs concentration). Static vehicle testing demonstrated that although the amount of total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) detected within each vehicle was relatively distinct (4940 μg/m^3 in the new vehicle A, 1240 μg/m^3 in used vehicle B, and 132 μg/m^3 in used vehicle C), toluene, xylene, some aromatic compounds, and various C7-C12 alkanes were among the predominant VOC species in all three vehicles tested. In addition, tetramethyl succinonitrile, possibly derived from foam cushions was detected in vehicle B. The types and quantities of VOCs varied considerably according to various kinds of factors, such as, vehicle age, vehicle model, temperature, air exchange rate, and environment airflow velocity. For example, if the airflow velocity increases from 0.1 m/s to 0.7 m/s, the vehicle's air exchange rate increases from 0.15 h^-1 to 0.67 h^-1, and in-vehicle TVOC concentration decreases from 1780 to 1201 μg/m^3.展开更多

Tire and rubber track interchangeable chassis combines the advantages of tire and rubber track,which can greatly improve the maneuverability of military construction machinery.However,there is almost no effective calc...Tire and rubber track interchangeable chassis combines the advantages of tire and rubber track,which can greatly improve the maneuverability of military construction machinery.However,there is almost no effective calculation model for the real-time static steering torque.When the relative sliding speed is greater than 0.01 m/s,the influence of friction heating can not be ignored.An improved LuGre model is established to calculate the static real-time steering torque of tire and rubber track interchangeable chassis.Firstly,the friction heating model between rubber and ground is established.Combined with the influence of temperature on the dynamic performance of rubber material,the influence of friction heating on the stiffness and friction coefficient of rubber track is analyzed,and the improved LuGre friction model is established.The steering torque of tire and rubber track interchangeable chassis is affected by rubber material properties,steering speed,pavement type,and ambient temperature.Compared with the original Lu Gre model,the improved LuGre model captures the change in friction torque during multiple in-situ turns due to frictional heating.The error with the experimental data is small,which verifies the effectiveness of the improved LuGre model.展开更多
Acutely isolated mouse hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons were exposed to 3 mT static magnetic field,and the characteristics of transient outward K+ channel were studied using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique.The e...Acutely isolated mouse hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons were exposed to 3 mT static magnetic field,and the characteristics of transient outward K+ channel were studied using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique.The experiment revealed that the amplitude of transient outward potassium channel current was reduced.The maximum activated current densities of control group and exposure group were 163.62±20.68 pA/pF and 98.74±16.57 pA/pF(n=12,P<0.01) respectively.The static magnetic field exposure affected the activation and inactivation process of transient outward potassium channel current.Due to the magnetic field exposure,the half-activation voltage of the activation curves changed from 5.59±1.96 mV to 27.87±7.24 mV(n=12,P<0.05) ,and the slope factor changed from 19.43±2.11 mV to 25.87±4.22 mV(n=12,P<0.05) .The half-inactivation voltage of the inactivation curves also changed from-56.09±0.89 mV to-57.16±1.10 mV(n=12,P>0.05) and the slope factor of the inactivation curves from 8.69±0.80 mV to 10.87±1.02 mV(n=12,P<0.05) .The results show that the static magnetic field can change the characteristics of transient outward K+ channel,and affect the physiological functions of neurons.展开更多

The results showed that vegetation coverage in the study area was 27.2176% with the coefficient of variation of 31.7786%; that the vegetation coverage in separation distance of 〈0.18' showed positive spatial correlation, and the spatial correlation of vegetation coverage in separation distance of 〈0.18' was greater than that in 〉0.18'; that the best fitting model for Semivariance function was exponential model with spatial variation ratio 0.726, which showed strong spatial correlation, and the spatial correlated scale was 0.18'; that the vegetation coverage data in the study area was relatively stable, and the instability mainly occurred on the border of the study area and the surroundings.展开更多

These mathematical models are further analyzed in the fundamental space and the fifth harmonic space after the fault and to eliminate the coupling between the d-q axis voltage equation in the fundamental wave space and the d-q axis voltage equation in the fifth harmonic space, a secondary rotation coordinate transformation matrix is proposed. To achieve the purpose of reducing torque ripple, the fault-tolerant control method proposed in this paper not only takes the minimum copper loss as the constraint condition, but also injects the fifth harmonic current. The experimental result of current and torque is used to verify the accuracy of fault-tolerant control.展开更多

Considerable research is being done to study and mitigate the impact of PEVs on the electric grid and devise methodologies to utilize them for energy storage and distributed generation. In this paper, the impact of PEVs in a smart car park, placed in an unbalanced distribution system, during a Single Line to Ground fault with auto-recloser operation is studied. Level-2, bidirectional battery chargers with Current Controlled and Voltage Controlled Voltage Source Converters are modeled for the battery charging systems of the PEVs. A smart car park, with 16 vehicles connected to each of the three phases is simulated at one of the buses in the IEEE 13 Bus Test Feeder. The impacts observed during the fault are analyzed and a method to mitigate them is suggested.展开更多

It is shown that the initial set of the Einstein and spinor field equations with a power-law nonlinearity have regular solutions with a localized energy density of the spinor field only if m=0 (m is the mass parameter in the spinor field equations). Equations with power and polynomial nonlinearities are studied in detail. In this case, a soliton-like configuration has negative energy. We have also obtained exact static plane-symmetric solutions to the above spinor field equations in flat space-time. It is proved that in this case soliton-like solutions are absent.展开更多
To reduce the carbon footprint in the transportation sector and improve overall vehicle efficiency,a large number of electric vehicles are being manufactured.This is due to the fact that environmental concerns and the...To reduce the carbon footprint in the transportation sector and improve overall vehicle efficiency,a large number of electric vehicles are being manufactured.This is due to the fact that environmental concerns and the depletion of fossil fuels have become significant global problems.Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have been distinguished themselves from alternative energy storage technologies for electric vehicles(EVs) due to superior qualities like high energy and power density,extended cycle life,and low maintenance cost to a competitive price.However,there are still certain challenges to be solved,like EV fast charging,longer lifetime,and reduced weight.For fast charging,the multi-stage constant current(MSCC) charging technique is an emerging solution to improve charging efficiency,reduce temperature rise during charging,increase charging/discharging capacities,shorten charging time,and extend the cycle life.However,there are large variations in the implementation of the number of stages,stage transition criterion,and C-rate selection for each stage.This paper provides a review of these problems by compiling information from the literature.An overview of the impact of different design parameters(number of stages,stage transition,and C-rate) that the MSCC charging techniques have had on the LIB performance and cycle life is described in detail and analyzed.The impact of design parameters on lifetime,charging efficiency,charging and discharging capacity,charging speed,and rising temperature during charging is presented,and this review provides guidelines for designing advanced fast charging strategies and determining future research gaps.展开更多

This case presents the monitoring, modeling, control, and analysis of the two-level three-phase WE based DG system where the electric ...Wind energy (WE) has become immensely popular for distributed generation (DG). This case presents the monitoring, modeling, control, and analysis of the two-level three-phase WE based DG system where the electric grid interfacing custom power device (CPD) is controlled to perform the smart exchanging of electric power as per the Indian grid code. WE is connected to DC link of CPD for the grid integration purpose. The CPD based distributed static compensator, i.e. the distributed static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM), is utilized for injecting the wind power to the point of common coupling (PCC) and also acts against the reactive power demand. The novel indirect current control scheme of DSTATCOM regulates the power import and export between the WE and the electric grid system. It also acts as a compensator and performs both the key features simultaneously. Hence, the penetration of additional generated WE power to the grid is increased by 20% to 25%. The burden of reactive power compensation from grid is reduced by DSTATCOM. The modeling and simulation are done in MATLAB. The results are validated and verified.展开更多

文摘Acutely isolated mouse hippocampal CA3 pyramidal neurons were exposed to 3 mT static magnetic field,and the characteristics of transient outward K+ channel were studied using the whole-cell patch-clamp technique.The experiment revealed that the amplitude of transient outward potassium channel current was reduced.The maximum activated current densities of control group and exposure group were 163.62±20.68 pA/pF and 98.74±16.57 pA/pF(n=12,P<0.01) respectively.The static magnetic field exposure affected the activation and inactivation process of transient outward potassium channel current.Due to the magnetic field exposure,the half-activation voltage of the activation curves changed from 5.59±1.96 mV to 27.87±7.24 mV(n=12,P<0.05) ,and the slope factor changed from 19.43±2.11 mV to 25.87±4.22 mV(n=12,P<0.05) .The half-inactivation voltage of the inactivation curves also changed from-56.09±0.89 mV to-57.16±1.10 mV(n=12,P>0.05) and the slope factor of the inactivation curves from 8.69±0.80 mV to 10.87±1.02 mV(n=12,P<0.05) .The results show that the static magnetic field can change the characteristics of transient outward K+ channel,and affect the physiological functions of neurons.

文摘Unmanned aerial vehicle technology was used to survey the vegetation coverage of typical urban-rural fringe, and descriptive statistics and geostatistical methods were used to analyze the urban-rural fringe of spatial heterogeneity of vegetation coverage. The results showed that vegetation coverage in the study area was 27.2176% with the coefficient of variation of 31.7786%; that the vegetation coverage in separation distance of 〈0.18' showed positive spatial correlation, and the spatial correlation of vegetation coverage in separation distance of 〈0.18' was greater than that in 〉0.18'; that the best fitting model for Semivariance function was exponential model with spatial variation ratio 0.726, which showed strong spatial correlation, and the spatial correlated scale was 0.18'; that the vegetation coverage data in the study area was relatively stable, and the instability mainly occurred on the border of the study area and the surroundings.

文摘This paper proposes a novel control approach for fault-tolerant control of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) under one-phase open-circuit fault.A modified six-phase static coordinate transformation matrix and an extended rotating coordinate transformation matrix are investigated considering the influence of the fifth harmonic space on fault-tolerant control. These mathematical models are further analyzed in the fundamental space and the fifth harmonic space after the fault and to eliminate the coupling between the d-q axis voltage equation in the fundamental wave space and the d-q axis voltage equation in the fifth harmonic space, a secondary rotation coordinate transformation matrix is proposed. To achieve the purpose of reducing torque ripple, the fault-tolerant control method proposed in this paper not only takes the minimum copper loss as the constraint condition, but also injects the fifth harmonic current. The experimental result of current and torque is used to verify the accuracy of fault-tolerant control.
文摘With a high penetration of Plug-In Electric Vehicles (PEVs) in the electric grid, utilities will have to face the challenges related to them. Considerable research is being done to study and mitigate the impact of PEVs on the electric grid and devise methodologies to utilize them for energy storage and distributed generation. In this paper, the impact of PEVs in a smart car park, placed in an unbalanced distribution system, during a Single Line to Ground fault with auto-recloser operation is studied. Level-2, bidirectional battery chargers with Current Controlled and Voltage Controlled Voltage Source Converters are modeled for the battery charging systems of the PEVs. A smart car park, with 16 vehicles connected to each of the three phases is simulated at one of the buses in the IEEE 13 Bus Test Feeder. The impacts observed during the fault are analyzed and a method to mitigate them is suggested.
文摘A SIT-BJT model is proposed for static induction thyristors (SITh) operation in the blocking state. On the basis of the physical mechanism, this model is presented analytically in terms of governing equations that link the electrical parameters to the structural parameters. The model is verified by numerical simulation and theoretical analysis. Based on the model, the variations of the electrical parameters such as the potential barrier, the anode junction voltage drop, and the current amplification factor are studied and discussed.
文摘We have obtained exact static plane-symmetric solutions to the spinor field equations with nonlinear terms which are arbitrary functions of invariant , taking into account their own gravitational field. It is shown that the initial set of the Einstein and spinor field equations with a power-law nonlinearity have regular solutions with a localized energy density of the spinor field only if m=0 (m is the mass parameter in the spinor field equations). Equations with power and polynomial nonlinearities are studied in detail. In this case, a soliton-like configuration has negative energy. We have also obtained exact static plane-symmetric solutions to the above spinor field equations in flat space-time. It is proved that in this case soliton-like solutions are absent.
文摘To reduce the carbon footprint in the transportation sector and improve overall vehicle efficiency,a large number of electric vehicles are being manufactured.This is due to the fact that environmental concerns and the depletion of fossil fuels have become significant global problems.Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)have been distinguished themselves from alternative energy storage technologies for electric vehicles(EVs) due to superior qualities like high energy and power density,extended cycle life,and low maintenance cost to a competitive price.However,there are still certain challenges to be solved,like EV fast charging,longer lifetime,and reduced weight.For fast charging,the multi-stage constant current(MSCC) charging technique is an emerging solution to improve charging efficiency,reduce temperature rise during charging,increase charging/discharging capacities,shorten charging time,and extend the cycle life.However,there are large variations in the implementation of the number of stages,stage transition criterion,and C-rate selection for each stage.This paper provides a review of these problems by compiling information from the literature.An overview of the impact of different design parameters(number of stages,stage transition,and C-rate) that the MSCC charging techniques have had on the LIB performance and cycle life is described in detail and analyzed.The impact of design parameters on lifetime,charging efficiency,charging and discharging capacity,charging speed,and rising temperature during charging is presented,and this review provides guidelines for designing advanced fast charging strategies and determining future research gaps.

Equations with power and polynomial nonlinearities are studied in detail. It is shown that the initial set of the Einstein and spinor field equations with a power nonlinearity has regular solutions with spinor field localized energy and charge densities. The total energy and charge are finite. Besides, exact solutions, including soliton-like solutions, to the spinor field equations are also obtained in flat space-time.
文摘Wind energy (WE) has become immensely popular for distributed generation (DG). This case presents the monitoring, modeling, control, and analysis of the two-level three-phase WE based DG system where the electric grid interfacing custom power device (CPD) is controlled to perform the smart exchanging of electric power as per the Indian grid code. WE is connected to DC link of CPD for the grid integration purpose. The CPD based distributed static compensator, i.e. the distributed static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM), is utilized for injecting the wind power to the point of common coupling (PCC) and also acts against the reactive power demand. The novel indirect current control scheme of DSTATCOM regulates the power import and export between the WE and the electric grid system. It also acts as a compensator and performs both the key features simultaneously. Hence, the penetration of additional generated WE power to the grid is increased by 20% to 25%. The burden of reactive power compensation from grid is reduced by DSTATCOM. The modeling and simulation are done in MATLAB. The results are validated and verified.
