Gastric carcinogenesis in rats was induced by administration of MNNG (150 mg·L-1) in drinking water. Four weeks after MNNG exposure, the rats were switched to the diet containing 1, 25 (OH)2D3 (2. 5 μg·kg-1 and 5. 0 μg·kg-1) and maintained on the diet. Animals were killed at week 16 and week 32 for immunohistochemical and histopathological studies. At week 16, the proliferating cell nuclear antingen (PCNA) labeling index in epithelium from the glandular stomach of rats that received 1, 25 (OH)2D3 (5.0 μg·kg-1) in combination with MNNG (150 mg·L-1) were significantly higher when compared with the rats receiving MNNG alone. Supplementation of 1, 25 (OH)2D3 (5. 0 μg·kg-1) in the rats' diet caused a dramatic increase in carcinoma incidence, and the number of individual cancer foci in the glandular stomach of rats receiving MNNG at week 32. It was concluded that certain dose of 1, 25 (OH)2D3 enhanced gastric carcinogenesis induced by MNNG in rats.展开更多

An effective medium model with exponential valence and conduction band tail states is used to simulate the photovoltaic cell. The simulation result shows that the open circuit voltage depends Iinearly on the logarithm of the generation rate and the slope depends on the width of the valence band tail. The open circuit voltage decreases with the increasing width of the band tail. The dark and light ideality factors increase with the width of the valence band tail.展开更多

The fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration algorithm was employed to solve the equations of the dynamic model, in conjunction with the three-dimensional finite element method. The 3D numerical data was calculated using Comsol Multiphysics, which accounts for the nonlinearity of the ferromagnetic material and the 3D nature of the HVRM. The outcomes of this study are precise and accurately predict the dynamic behaviour of the HVRM in terms of rotor position response, rotational speed and torque. The distinctive contribution of this work lies in the 3D numerical modelling of the HVRM and the subsequent evaluation and analysis of its dynamic operation. Analytical and numerical 2D studies are less resource-intensive and time-consuming, and are more straightforward and rapid to analyse and interpret. However, they are constrained in their capacity to examine spatial, volumetric interactions and intricate dynamics such as flux studies where three 3D effects cannot be disregarded, winding end effects and the configuration and positioning of the interposed permanent magnet.展开更多

The effective thermal conductivity prediction method contains a digital image processing technology. Multiple scanning electron microscopy(SEM)images of composites are analyzed to obtain actual microstructural features. These actual microstructural features of 3D5D braided composites are introduced into representative volume element(RVE) modeling. Apart from applying actual microstructural features, compression effects between yarns are considered in the modeling of RVE,making the RVE more realistic. Therefore, the ETC prediction method establishes a representative unit cell model that better reflects the true microstructural characteristics of the 3D5D braided composites. The ETCs are predicted with the finite element method. Then thermal conductivity measurements are carried out for a 3D5D braided composite sample.By comparing the predicted ETC with the measured thermal conductivity, the whole process of the ETC prediction method is proved to be effective and accurate, where a relative error of only 2.9 % is obtained.Furthermore, the effects of microstructural features are investigated, indicating that increasing interior braiding angles and fiber fill factor can lead to higher transverse ETCs. Longitudinal ETCs decrease with increasing interior braiding angles, but increase with increasing fiber fill factor. Finally, the influence of variations of microstructure parameters observed in digital image processing are investigated. To explore the influence of variations in microstructural features on variations in predicted ETCs,the actual probability distributions of microstructural features obtained from the 3D5D braided composite sample are introduced into the ETC investigation. The results show that, compared with the interior braiding angle, variations in the fiber fill factor exhibit more significant effects on variations in ETCs.展开更多

The high-order upwind scheme is applied to stabilize the computation, and convergence is accelerated by the multi-grid method. Qualitative and quantitative analyses of the differences between the 2D and 3D simulation results reveal the 3D effect on the flow field characteristics and hydrodynamic coefficients of the vertically oscillating cylinder with a bottom-attached disk. The 3D effect on the fluid field is mainly reflected in the significance of three vortex-shedding patterns: ωx has a greater effect on the flow fields around the sharp edges relative to the vortices generated in the 2D simulation. In the slice along the axial orientation, the vortex effect of ωy along the radial axis is smaller than that of ωx along the circumferential direction, indicating the radial effect on the velocity more pronounced than the circumferential effect around the sharp edges of the disk. The rotational interaction ωz of the fluid in the horizontal plane during the heave motion is insignificant. Based on the 2D and 3D simulation results, the turning points that separate the increasing regimes of the added mass coefficient and damping ratio are identified. The dependence of the turning point on the diameter ratio Dd/Dc and thickness ratio td/Dc are discussed in detail.展开更多

The values of ZPEA_(eff) and NPEA_(eff) were obtained using the direct method for energies ranging from 10 keV to 20 MeV. Results are presented relative to water, for direct comparison over the range of examined energies. The effect of monomers that are used in polymer gel dosimeters on the water equivalence is discussed. The relation between Σ_R and hydrogen content was studied. Micelle gel dosimeters are highly promising because our results demonstrate perfect matching between the effective atomic number, electron density number, and fast neutron attenuation coefficient of water.展开更多

Their physical origins have been revealed. It is found that the admixture of and base-wavefunctions in the wavefunctions of R1 level of GSGG:Cr3+ at 70 K is remarkable under the normal pressure, and the degree of the admixture rapidly decreases with increasing pressure. The change of the degree of the admixture with the pressure plays a key role for not only the pure electronic PS of R1 line but also the PS of R1 line due to EPI. The detailed calculations and analyses show that the pressure-dependent behaviors of the pure electronic PS of R1 line and the PS of R1 line due to EPI are quite different. It is the combined effect of them that gives rise to the total PS of R1 line, which has satisfactorily explained the experimental data (including a reversal of PS of R1 line). In contributions to PS of R1 line due to EPI at 70 K, the temperature-independent contribution is much larger than the temperature-dependent contribution. The former results from the interaction between the zero-point vibration of the lattice and localized electronic state.展开更多

The calculated results are in good agreement with all the experimental data. Their physical origins have also been explained. It is found that the mixing-degree of and base-wavefunctions in the wavefunctions of R1 level of GSGG:Cr3+ at 300 K is remarkable under normal pressure, and the mixing-degree rapidly decreases with increasing pressure. The change of the mixing-degree with pressure plays a key role not only for the 'pure electronic' PS of R1 line and R2 line but also the PS of R1 line and R2 line due to EPI. The pressure-dependent behaviors of the 'pure electronic' PS of R1 line (or R2 line) and the PS of R1 line (or R2 line) due to EPI are quite different. It is the combined effect of them that gives rise to the total PS of R1 line (or R2 line). In the range of about 15 kbar ~ 45 kbar, the mergence and/or order-reversal between levels and levels take place, which cause the fluctuation of the rate of PS for with pressure. At 300 K, both the temperature-dependent contribution to R1 line (or R2 line or U band) from EPI and the temperature-independent one are important.展开更多

文摘The effect of 1, 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1, 25 (OH)2D3) given in the post-initiation stage of gastric carcinogenesis induced by N-methyl-N-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) was investigated in male Wistar rats. It was concluded that certain dose of 1, 25 (OH)2D3 enhanced gastric carcinogenesis induced by MNNG in rats.
文摘The effect of the valence band tail width on the open circuit voltage of P3HT:PCBM bulk heterojunction solar cell is investigated by using the AMPS-1D computer program. The dark and light ideality factors increase with the width of the valence band tail.
文摘This paper presents the work carried out to evaluate the dynamic performance of the Hybrid Variable Reluctance Motor (HVRM). However, they are constrained in their capacity to examine spatial, volumetric interactions and intricate dynamics such as flux studies where three 3D effects cannot be disregarded, winding end effects and the configuration and positioning of the interposed permanent magnet.

文摘It is necessary to investigate the characteristics of Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)derived exosomes, and especially their application in tissue regeneration.Previous studies have shown that inflammatory stimulation enhanced the secretion of MSC-derived exosomes with stronger anti-inflammatory protein, cytokine profiles, and functional RNA via altering COX2/PGE2 pathway.Recently, accumulating evidence has also revealed that biophysical cues(especially biomechanical cues)in cell microenvironment have significant effects not only on cells but also on their exosomes. It has been reported that applying bi-axial strain to MSCs induces formation of a stiffer cytoskeleton through mTORC2 signaling, which biases against adipogenic differentiation and toward osteoblastogenesis. At the same time,For example, dimensionality, composition and stiffness of the extracellular matrix(ECM)has been proved to affect the size and composition of exosomes secreted by cancer cells. However, the effects of biomechanical cues in the three-dimensional(3D)microenvironment on stem cell-derived exosomes remains to be unveiled. Therefore,it is important to understand the roles of 3D cell mechanical microenvironment in regulating the characteristics of stem cell-derived exosomes and develop more efficient approaches to enhance their functions. This study aimed to explore the changes in characteristics of exosomes secreted by MSCs in periodontium in response to the matrix strain in 3D.Periodontal ligament stem cells(PDLSCs)were cultured in a 3D strain microenvironment engineered with microscale magnetically stretched collagen hydrogels. The morphology, particle distribution, marker protein expression of PDLSC-derived exosomes were analyzed. Then the pro-osteogenic property of exosomes was evaluated by assessing cell viability, proliferation, migration and osteogenic differentiation of target cells, for instance human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(hBMSCs).Detailed characterizations revealed that PDLSC-derived exosomes in the 3D strain mi-croenvironment were with similar morphology, particle distribution and surface markers.Notably,Exosomes secreted by PDLSCs in strain microenvironment were more endocytosed by hBMSCs and were more potent in improving proliferation and migration of hBMSCs,comparing with PDLSCs in non-strain environment.Alizarin red staining and molecular biology experiments confirmed that treatment of exosomes secreted by PDLSCs under mechanical stimulation led to a significant increase in osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs in vitro.Meanwhile,in vivo study also indicated that PDLSC-derived exosomes obtained from the 3D strain microenvironment could obviously promote new bone formation. Our findings revealed that mechanical cues profoundly affected the characteristics of PDLSC-derived exosomes, especially for their bio-activity,providing a foundation for using the 3D mechanical microenvironment to enhance the osteo-inductive functions of stem cell-derived exosomes in cell-free therapy for bone regeneration.
文摘A method for predicting effective thermal conductivities(ETCs) of three-dimensional five-directional(3D5D) braided composites is presented. The results show that, compared with the interior braiding angle, variations in the fiber fill factor exhibit more significant effects on variations in ETCs.

文摘Transparent physical models of real rocks fabricated using three-dimensional(3D)printing technology are used in photoelas-tic experiments to quantify the evolution of the internal stress and deformation fields of rocks. Therefore, they are rendered as an emerging powerful technique to quantitatively reveal the intrinsic mechanisms of rock failure. The mechanical behav-ior of natural rocks exhibits a significant size effect;however, limited research has been conducted on whether transparent physical models observe similar size effects. In this study,to make the transparent printed models accurately demonstrate the mechanical behavior of natural rocks and reveal the internal mechanism of the size effect in rock mechanical behavior, the size effect in 3D printed models of fractured and porous rocks under uniaxial compressive loading was investigated.Transparent cylindrical models with different sizes that contained different fractured and porous structures were printed using the fracture and porous characteristics extracted from natural coal and sandstone. The variation in uniaxial compres-sive strength and elastic modulus of fractured and porous models for increasing model sizes were obtained through uniaxial compression experiments. Finally, the influence of internal discontinuous structural features, such as fractures and pores,on the size effect pertaining to the mechanical behavior of the model was analyzed and elaborated by comparing it with the mechanical properties of the continuous homogeneous model without fractures and pores. The findings provided support and reference to analyze the size effect of rock mechanical behavior and the effect of the internal discontinuous structure using 3D printed transparent models.

文摘Vortex-shedding flow induced by the vertical oscillation of a cylinder with bottom-attached disks of different diameter ratio Dd/Dc and thickness ratio td/Dc is studied by a 3D (three-dimensional) numerical model developed in this paper, and compared with the results obtained through 2D (two-dimensional) numerical model. The dependence of the turning point on the diameter ratio Dd/Dc and thickness ratio td/Dc are discussed in detail.
文摘Effective atomic numbers for photon energy absorption(ZPEA_(eff)) and their corresponding electron numbers (NPEA_(eff)), and effective macroscopic removal cross sections of fast neutrons(RR) were calculated for 27 different types of three-dimensional dosimeters, four types of phantom materials, and water. Micelle gel dosimeters are highly promising because our results demonstrate perfect matching between the effective atomic number, electron density number, and fast neutron attenuation coefficient of water.
文摘The effects of ternary solutes Ti, Co, V, Cr, Ta, W and Mo on the D03 phase 5tability of Fe3Alintermetallics are investigated by tight-binding linear Muffin-tin orbitaI method. The predictedsite preference5 of these elements in Fe3AI are in agreement with the experimental observations. The calculated Iocal magnetic moment of Fe3AI is identical to the experimentaI. ln addition, itis found that the D03 phase stability of Fe3AI doped with Ti, V, Co and Cr depends on 'energygap- of energy band near Fermi level. while the D03 phase stability of Fe3AI doped with Ta, Wand Mo may be affected by Madelung energy.
文摘By means of both a theory for pressure-induced shifts (PS) of energy spectra and a theory for shifts of energy spectra due to electron-phonon interaction (EPI), the 'pure electronic' PS and the PS due to EPI of R1 line of GSGG:Cr3+ at 70 K have been calculated, respectively. The former results from the interaction between the zero-point vibration of the lattice and localized electronic state.
文摘By means of both a theory for pressure-induced shifts (PS) of energy spectra and a theory for shifts of energy spectra due to electron-phonon interaction (EPI), the 'pure electronic' PS and the PS due to EPI of R1 line, R2 line, and U band of GSGG:Cr3+ at 300 K have been calculated, respectively. At 300 K, both the temperature-dependent contribution to R1 line (or R2 line or U band) from EPI and the temperature-independent one are important.
