To show the dynamic characteristics of train traffic flow with stochastic disturbance, some numerical experiments on a railway line are simulated. The computational results show that the discrete-time movement model can well describe the movements of trains on a rail line with the moving-block signalling system. Comparing with the results of no disturbance, it finds that the traffic capacity of the rail line will decrease with the influence of stochastic disturbance. Additionally, the delays incurred by stochastic disturbance can be propagated to the subsequent trains, and then prolong their traversing time on the rail line. It can provide auxiliary information for rescheduling trains When the stochastic disturbance occurs on the railway.展开更多

The networks under consideration are continuous-time networks with time-varying delay. Based on the stochastic Lyapunov stability theory, Ito's differential rule and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) optimization technique, several delay-dependent synchronous criteria are established, which guarantee the asymptotical mean-square synchronization of drive networks and response networks with stochastic disturbances. The criteria are expressed in terms of LMI, which can be easily solved using the Matlab LMI Control Toolbox. Finally, two examples show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed synchronous conditions.展开更多

We put forward a fractional-order controller that can achieve the finite-time synchronization of any-order fractional-order chaotic systems under stochastic disturbances. This controller has good robustness and anti-interference performance. With the concept of the finite-time stability theory given, some judgment criterions for the synchronization of fractional-order chaotic systems are proved. This method can not only make the error systems have a faster convergence rate but also can be implemented in engineering easily. The numerical simulations of two specific examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. At the same time, the synchronised time of finite-time synchronization is shorter and faster than the complete synchronization and the time can be adjusted according to the parameters in the controller.展开更多

A switching control law Uo is designed to almost globally asymptotically stabilize the state x0 in both the singular Xo(t0)=0 case and the non-singular Xo(to)≠O case. Then the state scaling technique is introduced for the discontinuous feedback into the (x1, x2,…, xn)-subsystem. The fibers are processed by chemical method and their outsides are peeled to form particles of irregular distribution and they differ in size, so the slight disturbance range of stochastic wall are formed in fibers. According to the characteristics of power loss of waveguide mode caused by slight disturbance of stochastic wall and radiative mode transmission, the range of slight disturbance of stochastic wall may be served as the sensitive range of the sensor. On the basis of theory of slight disturbance of stochastic wall of planar optical waveguide, the relation between the corrosion time and the opposite power loss by experiments is investigated. In this paper, the measurement results of object of SIFORS are also presented. The results show that the optical sensor technique may be used in the damage evaluation of an aircraft.展开更多

A three-dimensional anisotropic heterogeneous steady random seepage model was developed on the basis of the finite element method. A statistical analysis of the distribution characteristics of soil parameters sampled from the main embankment of the Yangtze River in the Southern Jingzhou zone of China was conducted. The Kolomogorov-Smirnov test verified the statistical hypothesis that the permeability coefficient tensor has a Gaussian distribution. With the help of numerical analysis of the stochastic seepage field using the developed model, various statistical and random characteristics of the stochastic seepage field of the main embankment of the Yangtze River in the Southern Jingzhou zone of China were investigated. The model was also examined with statistical testing. Through the introduction of random variation of the upstream and downstream water levels into the model, the effects of the boundary randomness due to variation of the downstream and upstream water levels on the variation of simulated results presented with a vector series of the random seepage field were analyzed. Furthermore, the combined influence of the variation of the soil permeability coefficient and such seepage resistance measures as the cut-off wall and relief ditch on the hydraulic head distribution was analyzed and compared with the results obtained by determinate analysis. Meanwhile, sensitivities of the hydraulic gradient and downstream exit height to the variation of boundary water level were studied. The validity of the simulated results was verified by stochastic testing and measured data. The developed model provides more detail and a full stochastic algorithm to characterize and analyze three-dimensional stochastic seepage field problems.展开更多

The filter algorithm is designed by computing a pair of gains namely the estimator and the coupling. Herein, we implement a filter to estimate unknown parameters such that the closed-loop multi-sensor accomplishes the desired performances of the proposed H2 and H∞ schemes over a finite horizon. A switched strategy is implemented to switch between the states once the operation conditions have changed due to disturbances. It is shown that the stability of the overall filtering-error system with H2/H∞ performance can be established if a piecewise-quadratic Lyapunov function is properly constructed. A simulation example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.展开更多

The index function adopted here is of quadratic form usually encountered in practice, rather than of quartic one used to beg the essential difficulty on controller design and performance analysis of the closed-loop systems. For any given risk-sensitive parameter and desired index value, by using the integrator backstepping method, an output feedback control is constructively designed so that the closed-loop system is bounded in probability and the risk-sensitive index is upper bounded by the desired value.展开更多

A stochastic bounded real lemma(SBRL for short) for Poisson jump-diffusion systems is firstly established, which stands out on its own as a very interesting theoretical problem. Further, sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of a state feedback H_2/H_∞ control are given based on four coupled matrix Riccati equations. Finally, a discrete approximation algorithm and an example are presented.展开更多

In order to meet the turbulence situation, a beam pointing method that cooperates with the stochastic parallel gradient descent(SPGD) algorithm is proposed. The power-in-the-bucket(PIB) is chosen as the merit function, and its radius changes gradually during the correction process. The linear radius and the exponential radius are simulated. The results show that the exponential radius has great promise for beam pointing.展开更多
