Study of the Influence of the Chunking on Improving Speaking Ability Among Senior High Students

English speaking skill is one of the most important skills that senior high students need to obtain in learning English.However,there are still many problems existing in students’speaking practice.As a teaching and learning strategy,Chunking is now gradually used in English classroom and has received a positive feedback.Therefore,in this paper,the influence of Chunking on improving English speaking skill among senior high school students will be investigated and analyzed through the methods of questionnaire and the follow-up interview to answer four questions:(1)What effect does Chunking have on the oral fluency of high school students?(2)What effect does Chunking have on the oral accuracy of high school students?(3)What effect does Chunking have on the vocabulary?And(4)Does the English speaking performance relate to genders?After analyzing the results of questionnaire by the SPSS and summing up the interview record,we found that most of them agree the fact that the strategy of Chunking does benefit their oral fluency,oral accuracy,and vocabulary.Also,female students have higher scores than male students.

Problems and Strategies in Cultivating English Major Students＇ Vocational Ability in Ethnic Regions

The cultivation of English major students＇ vocational ability is the key to the improvement of graduates＇ quality, the enhancement employment and shortening the entry cycle. However, due to the improper curriculum, lack of the micro-standard skill teaching lab and the formalistic teaching practice, there are many problems in English major students＇ vocational ability in ethnic regions. For instance, their language knowledge and ability is not solid; they lack the modem foreign language teaching theories; they have a weak pragmatic competence and lack teaching reflection, etc.. In practical teaching, it is proved that the following ways are effective to solve these problems optimizing the curriculum, strengthening language teaching and skill training and improving the quality of teaching practice and teaching reflection

Study on the Strategy of Improving the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ability of College Students Based on SWOT Analysis

In the new era,colleges in the China need to cultivate college students with innovative and entrepreneurial capabilities.Through the use of SWOT analysis method,a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of college students'innovation and entrepreneurial ability training and the opportunities and challenges they face.With the help of the SWOT matrix analysis model,starting from the four aspects of using advantages,overcoming disadvantages,seizing opportunities,and resolving challenges,it proposes specific measures to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities of college students,hoping to provide certain references for colleges in the China to cultivate the innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities of college students.

Strategies for Cultivating College Students'Innovation and Entrepreneurial Ability

Employment is the first priority for survival today.With the increasingly severe employment situation,the employment problem of college students has become inevitable.In recent years,with the expansion of university scale,the number of university graduates is increasing rapidly,with an imbalance in the number,structure,and social demand of talents;moreover,there are significant differences between college students'employment quality and social expectations.In order to cultivate the innovation and entrepreneurship ability of college students,this paper provides new ideas,analyzes the factors affecting the formation and development of college students'innovation and entrepreneurship ability,as well as proposes several strategies to enhance its scientificity,pertinence,and effectiveness,which are conducive to further strengthening innovation and entrepreneurship education as well as cultivating innovation and entrepreneurship talents in colleges and universities,thus providing strong support for talent training and teaching reform in colleges and universities in China.It also provides a solid foundation for China's social innovation and entrepreneurship,along with innovative and entrepreneurial services to meet the needs of society,so as to improve the success rate of entrepreneurship among college students,effectively promote entrepreneurship-driven employment,and solve the employment problems of college students,which are conducive to China's rapid transformation into an innovative country and a powerful country in terms of human resources.

On the Relationship between Iranian EFL Students’ Writing Strategies and Writing Ability

This study aimed at investigating the relationship between writing strategies,and writing ability of Iranian EFL students.The participants were 120 students learming English in the Iranian EFL context.Data were gathered by means of a writing strategies questionnaire and an IELTS writing task.The results of Pearson correlation test revealed that there was a statistically significant relationship between writing strategies,and writing abilties of the participants.The results have some implications for teaching writing in the EFL context.

Strategies for English Oral Skill Improvement Employed by Medical College Students

Research in language learning strategies has addressed the necessity of improving oral skills in second language acquisition.This study attempts to explore the strategies employed by 19 medical students at Qiannan Medical College for Nationalities to improve their oral skills.Semi-structured interview and open-ended questionnaire were used as the instruments for the data collection.The data was then analyzed qualitatively for the purpose of the study.The findings of the study showed that the strategies employed by the students mainly include the strategies to improve speaking skills and the strategies to improve listening skills.The strategies to improve speaking skills include two main categories:fluency-focused strategies and accuracy-focused strategies.The strategies to improve listening skills also include two main categories:direct strategies and indirect strategies.

Discussion on Effective Strategies for Improving Enterprise Operation and Management Abilities

Research on Ways to Improve the Innovative and Entrepreneurial Ability of Poor College Students in Northwest China

Improving the ability of innovation and Entrepreneurship of impoverished college students in local colleges and universities could alleviate employment pressure to a certain extent, solve employment difficulties and help college students realize their self-worth, which are related to social stability and economic development. By using the methods of questionnaire and individual interviews, this paper investigates some of the students who set up files for poverty alleviation in northwest local colleges and universities, and understand the current situation of innovation and Entrepreneurship of poor college students. It is hoped that the ability of innovation and entrepreneurship can be improved by enhancing the awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship, improving the education system, innovating learning mode, building a practical platform and implementing quality management.

Some main effective reading strategies

Reading becomes more and more important in English learning in recent days.If we want to read efficiently,there are a lot of strategies for us to use when read.We can make predictions before reading a passage.When we read,we can read in a sense group.If we do not know the word when we read,we can guess the meaning of the word through the roots,the prefixes,the suffixes.In a word,having lots of practice with suitable reading strategies can enable us to improve our English reading skills.

The positioning of the occupational role and the improvement of the abilities of the college counselors

For the college students, the instructors are the guides and helpers of the healthy growth of them, who play an important role in their establishment of a correct outlook on life, and values, and the cultivation of the good moral qualities. At present, in the team of the college counselors, there exist the problems that the responsibilities are fuzzy, and their own qualities need to be improved, and the construction of the occupation is slow, and so on, which require that we should recognize the positioning of the counselors＇ occupational role, and focus on the enhancement of the abilities of the counselors. Therefore, this paper puts forward the path to improve the abilities of the role of the counselors, in order to speed up the construction of the professionalism and specialization of the team of the college counselors, making them more capable of supporting the growth of the physical and mental health of the college students.

根据用人单位对高职毕业生就业能力的调查,了解到毕业生就业的主体单位是民营中小微企业,毕业生的职业素养及就业能力中的执行力、心理调适能力、理解能力等九个二级指标有待进一步加强。以利益相关者理论为视角分析了企业、学校、教师和学生等不同主体在校企协同育人中存在的问题。结合问卷调查、问题分析及工作实际,提出“通过丰富校园文化营造浓郁职业氛围”“通过适岗培训补齐学生就业能力短板”“通过机制构建力促校企合作走深走实”“通过优化人才培养方案增加实用课程”“通过丰富合作方式加强产教融合实践”“通过改革提高心理与就业指导实效性”等举措,以力促高职学生就业能力提升。

以广东10所高职院校1000名毕业生为研究对象,探索其创业能力的差异。结果显示:不同性别、专业类型高职学生的创业能力及各维度差异显著;不同家庭所在地、不同实习时长高职学生的社会应对能力差异显著。建议结合湾区建设及专业特色,建立分层分类教育体系;结合高职院校特征,创新协同育人机制;有机融入心理资本,完善创业支持体系;结合性别特征,实施差异化培养;保证实习时长,提升创业育人质量;增强家长认可度,使其成为坚强后盾。

基于叙事作文分析的初中生社会情感能力:基本特征与提升策略

在语文课程领域中探索初中生社会情感能力,分析学生叙事作文是一种有效途径。运用系统功能语言学评价理论中的态度系统框架对270篇初中生叙事作文进行文本分析,涵盖情感反应、行为判断和事物鉴赏。研究表明,从整体特征看,学生的社会情感能力主要集中在情感抒发和同理心,其次是自我意识和社会责任感,而文化认同感最少;从社会情感能力的差异特征看,女生在情感反应方面显著高于男生,高水平、中水平、低水平作文两两之间在情感反应和事物鉴赏方面均存在显著性差异,高水平与低水平、中水平与低水平作文在行为判断方面存在显著性差异。基于这些特征,建议推行多元化作文教学策略,增强学生批判性分析和多层次理解能力;采用包容性作文教学策略,提高学生理解他人和建立良好人际关系的能力;建立追踪性作文评价机制,促进学生社会情感能力的持续性发展。
