The puff model is based on a general technique for solving the K-equation, using the truncated Gram-Charlier expansion (type A) of the concentration field and finite set equations for the corresponding moments. The other model (named ADMM: Analytical Dispersion Multilayers Model) is an semi- analytical solution to the time-dependent two-dimensional advection-diffusion equation based on a discretization of the PBL in N sub-layers;in each sub-layers the advection-diffusion equation is solved by the Laplace transform technique, considering an average value for eddy diffusivity and the wind speed. A preliminary performance evaluation is shown in the case of continuous emission from an elevated source in a variable boundary layer. Both models were able to correctly reproduce the concentration field measured and so to be used as operative air pollution models.展开更多

Using the extended generalized Riccati equation mapping method, we find analytical traveling wave solutions of the considered BHT equation. All the travelling wave solutions obtained have been used to explicitly investigate the effect of linear and quadratic coefficients of temperature dependence on temperature distribution in tissues. We found that the parameter of the nonlinear superposition formula for Riccati can be used to control the temperature of living tissues. Our results prove that the extended generalized Riccati equation mapping method is a powerful tool for investigating thermal traveling-wave distribution in biological tissues.展开更多

The purpose of solving the error matrix equation is to create a decision support on how to switch from bad to good status. A matrix based on error logic is used to express current status u, expectant status u1 and transformation matrix T. It is u, u1, and T that are used to build error matrix equation T (u)= u1. This allows us to find a method whereby bad status “u” changes to good status “u1” by solving the equation. The conversion method that transform from current to expectant status can be obtained from the transformation matrix T. On this basis, this paper proposes a new kind of error matrix equation named “containing-type error matrix equation”. This equation is more suitable for analyzing the realistic question. The method of solving, existence and form of solution for this type of equation have been presented in this paper. This research provides a potential useful new technique for decision analysis.展开更多

In this paper we use a new approach, recently developed by us for building the quantum kinetic energy operator (KEO) within the Schrodinger equation, in order to construct a new class of exactly solvable models with a position varying mass, presenting a harmonic-oscillator-like spectrum. To do so we utilize the formalism of supersymmetric quantum mechanics (SUSY QM) along with the shape invariance condition. Recent outcomes of non-Hermitian quantum mechanics are also taken into account.展开更多

文摘By deriving the discrete equation of the parameterized equation for the New Medium-Range Forecast(NMRF)boundary layer scheme in the GRAPES model, the adjusted discrete equation for temperature is obviously different from the original equation under the background of hydrostatic equilibrium and adiabatic hypothesis. In the present research, three discrete equations for temperature in the NMRF boundary layer scheme are applied, namely the original(hereafter NMRF),the adjustment(hereafter NMRF-gocp),and the one in the YSU boundary-layer scheme(hereafter NMRF-TZ).The results show that the deviations of height, temperature,U and V wind in the boundary layer in the NMRF-gocp and NMRF-TZ experiments are smaller than those in the NMRF experiment and the deviations in the NMRF-gocp experiment are the smallest. The deviations of humidity are complex for the different forecasting lead time in the three experiments. Moreover, there are obvious diurnal variations of deviations from these variables, where the diurnal variations of deviations from height and temperature are similar and those from U and V wind are also similar. However, the diurnal variation of humidity is relatively complicated. The root means square errors of 2m temperature(T2m)and 10m speed(V10m)from the three experiments show that the error of NMRF-gocp is the smallest and that of NMRF is the biggest. There is also a diurnal variation of T2m and V10m,where T2m has double peaks and V10m has only one peak.Comparison of the discrete equations between NMRF and NMRF-gocp experiments shows that the deviation of temperature is likely to be caused by the calculation of vertical eddy diffusive coefficients of heating, which also leads to the deviations of other elements.

文摘Purpose:This paper aims to examine how the adoption decision of the internet banking in North Cyprus would be affected based on the following dimensions;the technology features, the personal characteristics, the social environment and the expected risk.Design/methodology/approach:A self-administered survey was conducted with 291 participants responded to it.The partial least square approach of the structural equation modeling(PLS-SEM)is employed to investigate the direct effects of the proposed factors on the adoption decision.Additionally, the mediation test is used to examine indirect effects.Findings:Results showed that even though the participants appreciated the benefits of the online banking as the perceived usefulness factor exerts the greatest direct effect, they would rather use clear and easy-to-use websites, adding to that their assessments of the usefulness of these services are significantly influenced by the surrounding people’s views and prior experience. This is demonstrated by the total effects of the perceived ease of use and the subjective norm factors, which are greater than the direct effect of the perceived usefulness factor since both of these factors have significant direct and indirect effects mediated by the perceived usefulness factor. The negative impact of the perceived risk factor is weak compared to the previous factors. While the personal innovativeness factor showed the weakest effect among the proposed factors.

文摘This study aimed to construct a quality management model for phase I clinical drug trials.A cross-sectional survey was conducted and data were collected from 604 respondents at 69 institutions in China engaged in phase I clinical drug trials.Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were used to develop the survey tool.Structural equation modeling was used to construct a quality management model for phase I clinical drug trials. The results showed that the final survey tool had good reliability and validity(Cronbach’sα=0.938,root mean square error of approximation=0.074,comparative fit index=0.962,and Tucker—Lewis index=0.955).The model included five dimensions:government regulation, industry management, medical institution management, research team management, and contract research organization(CRO)management. In total,22 measurement items were obtained. The structural equation model indicated government regulation, industry management, medical institution management, and CRO management significantly affected the quality of phase I clinical drug trials(β=0.195,β=0.331,β=0.279,andβ=−0.267,respectively;P<0.05).Research team management had no effect on the quality of trials(β=0.041,P=0.610).In conclusion, the model is valuable for identifying factors influencing phase I clinical drug trials and guiding quality management practices.
文摘An error matrix equation based on error matrix theory was presented in previous research of the error-eliminating theory. This research provides a potential useful new technique for decision analysis.

文摘In this manuscript we present a nonlinear site amplification model for ground-motion prediction equations(GMPEs)in Japan, using a site period-based site class and a site impedance ratio as site parameters. We used a large number of shear-wave velocity profiles from the Kiban-Kyoshin network(KiK-net)and the Kyoshin network(K-NET)to construct the one-dimensional(1D)numerical models. The strong-motion records from rock-sites in Japan with different earthquake categories and taken from the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center dataset were used in this study. We fit a set of 1D site amplification models using the spectral amplification ratios derived from 1D equivalent linear analyses.Parameters of site impedance ratios for both linear and nonlinear site response were included in the 1D model. The 1D model could be implemented into GMPEs using a new proposed adjustment method. The adjusted site amplification ratios retain the nonlinear characteristics of the 1D model for strong motions and match the linear amplification ratio in GMPE for weak motions. The nonlinearity of the present site model is reasonably similar to that of the historical models, and the present site model could satisfactorily capture the nonlinear site response in empirical data.
文摘Wavelength-dependent mathematical modelling of the differential energy change of a photon has been performed inside a proposed hypothetical optical medium. The existence of this medium demands certain mathematical constraints, which have been derived in detail.Using reverse modelling,a medium satisfying the derived conditions is proven to store energy as the photon propagates from the entry to exit point.A single photon with a given intensity is considered in the analysis and hypothesized to possess a definite non-zero probability of maintaining its energy and velocity functions analytic inside the proposed optical medium, despite scattering, absorption, fluorescence, heat generation, and other nonlinear mechanisms. The energy and velocity functions are thus singly and doubly differentiable with respect to wavelength. The solution of the resulting second-order differential equation in two variables proves that energy storage or energy flotation occurs inside a medium with a refractive index satisfying the described mathematical constraints. The minimum-value-normalized refractive index profiles of the modelled optical medium for transformed wavelengths both inside the medium and for vacuum have been derived.Mathematical proofs, design equations, and detailed numerical analyses are presented in the paper.

文摘The study of physical systems endowed with a position-dependent mass (PDM) remains a fundamental issue of quantum mechanics. Recent outcomes of non-Hermitian quantum mechanics are also taken into account.
