This study investigated the starch structure and composition of leachate and the microstructure of reheated convenience rice using novel processing technologies: super-heated steaming(SHS), auto-electric cooking(AEC), and pressurized-steam cooking(PSC). Additionally, the effect of two different target water contents(58% and 63%) was also evaluated. The PSC_63% sample had the highest total solids and amylopectin amount in the leachate. The amylopectin amount in the leachate differed significantly based on the targeted water content. Morphological characterization revealed that the swelling of starch and the coated layer on the surface of rice grains were most pronounced in the PSC_63% sample due to the pressure processing. The textural hardness of the AEC_58% sample was much higher than that of the other samples. The PSC_63% sample had the highest textural adhesiveness value, which can be attributed to the highest amylopectin amount in the leachate. Sensory characterization showed that the PSC_63% sample had the highest glossiness, whiteness, moistness, and overall acceptability. The principal component analysis score plots presented substantial differences in the leachate and textural and sensory characteristics of reheated convenience rice among the different processing technologies.展开更多

The method leverages the sensor monitoring data from targetpower substations to construct multidimensional time series. These time series are subsequently transformed intograph structures, and corresponding adjacency matrices are obtained. By incorporating the adjacency matricesand additional weights associated with the graph structure, an aggregation matrix is derived. The aggregationmatrix is then fed into a pre-trained graph convolutional neural network (GCN) to extract graph structure features. Moreover, both themultidimensional time series segments and the graph structure features are inputted into a pretrainedanomaly detectionmodel, resulting in corresponding anomaly detection results that help identify abnormaldata. The anomaly detection model consists of a multi-level encoder-decoder module, wherein each level includesa transformer encoder and decoder based on correlation differences. The attention module in the encoding layeradopts an abnormal attention module with a dual-branch structure. Experimental results demonstrate that ourproposed method significantly improves the accuracy and stability of anomaly detection.展开更多

Among the various materials being studied, Kekulé distorted graphene has emerged as a promising material for valleytronics applications. Graphene can be artificially distorted to form the Kekulé structures rendering the valley-related interaction. In this work, we review the recent progress of research on Kekulé structures of graphene and focus on the modified electronic bands due to different Kekulé distortions as well as their effects on the transport properties of electrons. We systematically discuss how the valley-related interaction in the Kekulé structures was used to control and affect the valley transport including the valley generation, manipulation, and detection. This article summarizes the current challenges and prospects for further research on Kekulé distorted graphene and its potential applications in valleytronics.展开更多

文摘We derive the potential energy of gravity waves(GWs)in the upper troposphere and stratosphere at 45°S-45°N from December 2019 to November 2022 by using temperature profiles retrieved from the Constellation Observing System for Meteorology,Ionosphere, and Climate-2(COSMIC-2)satellite.Owing to the dense sampling of COSMIC-2,in addition to the strong peaks of gravity wave potential energy(GWPE)above the Andes and Tibetan Plateau,we found weak peaks above the Rocky,Atlas,Caucasus, and Tianshan Mountains. The land-sea contrast is responsible for the longitudinal variations of the GWPE in the lower and upper stratosphere. At 40°N/S,the peaks were mainly above the topographic regions during the winter. At 20°N/S,the peaks were a slight distance away from the topographic regions and might be the combined effect of nontopographic GWs and mountain waves.Near the Equator, the peaks were mainly above the regions with the lowest sea level altitude and may have resulted from convection. Our results indicate that even above the local regions with lower sea level altitudes compared with the Andes and Tibetan Plateau, the GWPE also exhibits fine structures in geographic distributions. We found that dissipation layers above the tropopause jet provide the body force to generate secondary waves in the upper stratosphere, especially during the winter months of each hemisphere and at latitudes of greater than 20°N/S.

文摘Mg–3Nd–0.2Zn–0.4Zr(NZ30K,wt.%)alloy is a new kind of high-performance metallic biomaterial. The combination of the NZ30K Magnesium(Mg)alloy and selective laser melting(SLM)process seems to be an ideal solution to produce porous Mg degradable implants. However, the microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the SLMed NZ30K Mg alloy were not yet studied systematically. Therefore, the fabrication defects, microstructure, and mechanical properties of the SLMed NZ30K alloy under different processing parameters were investigated. The results show that there are two types of fabrication defects in the SLMed NZ30K alloy, gas pores and unfused defects. With the increase of the laser energy density, the porosity sharply decreases to the minimum first and then slightly increases. The minimum porosity is 0.49±0.18%.While the microstructure varies from the large grains with lamellar structure inside under low laser energy density,to the large grains with lamellar structure inside&the equiaxed grains&the columnar grains under middle laser energy density, and further to the fine equiaxed grains&the columnar grains under high laser energy density. The lamellar structure in the large grain is a newly observed microstructure for the NZ30K Mg alloy.Higher laser energy density leads to finer grains, which enhance all the yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and elongation, and the best comprehensive mechanical properties obtained are YS of 266±2.1 MPa,UTS of 296±5.2 MPa,with an elongation of 4.9±0.68%.The SLMed NZ30K Mg alloy with a bimodal-grained structure consisting of fine equiaxed grains and coarser columnar grains has better elongation and a yield drop phenomenon.

文摘Convenience rice has become widely popular due to its easy availability for cooking. The principal component analysis score plots presented substantial differences in the leachate and textural and sensory characteristics of reheated convenience rice among the different processing technologies.

文摘Vertical forest structure is closely linked to multiple ecosystem characteristics, such as biodiversity, habitat, and productivity.Mixing tree species in planted forests has the potential to create diverse vertical forest structures due to the different physiological and morphological traits of the composing tree species. However, the relative importance of species richness, species identity and species interactions for the variation in vertical forest structure remains unclear, mainly because traditional forest inventories do not observe vertical stand structure in detail.Terrestrial laser scanning(TLS),however, allows to study vertical forest structure in an unprecedented way. Therefore,we used TLS single scan data from 126 plots across three experimental planted forests of a largescale tree diversity experiment in Belgium to study the drivers of vertical forest structure. These plots were 9–11years old young pure and mixed forests, characterized by four levels of tree species richness ranging from monocultures to four-species mixtures, across twenty composition levels. We generated vertical plant profiles from the TLS data and derived six stand structural variables.Linear mixed models were used to test the effect of species richness on structural variables.Employing a hierarchical diversity interaction modelling framework,we further assessed species identity effect and various species interaction effects on the six stand structural variables. Our results showed that species richness did not significantly influence most of the stand structure variables, except for canopy height and foliage height diversity.Species identity on the other hand exhibited a significant impact on vertical forest structure across all sites.Species interaction effects were observed to be site-dependent due to varying site conditions and species pools, and rapidly growing tree species tend to dominate these interactions.Overall, our results highlighted the importance of considering both species identity and interaction effects in choosing suitable species combinations for forest management practices aimed at enhancing vertical forest structure.

文摘We present in situ measurements of spectrally resolved X-ray scattering and X-ray diffraction from monocrystalline diamond samples heatedwith an intense pulse of heavy ions.In this way,we determine the samples’heating dynamics and their microscopic and macroscopic structuralintegrity over a timespan of several microseconds.Connecting the ratio of elastic to inelastic scattering with state-of-the-art density functionaltheory molecular dynamics simulations allows the inference of average temperatures around 1300 K,in agreement with predictions fromstopping power calculations. The simultaneous diffraction measurements show no hints of any volumetric graphitization of the material, butdo indicate the onset of fracture in the diamond sample. Our experiments pave the way for future studies at the Facility for Antiproton andIon Research, where a substantially increased intensity of the heavy ion beam will be available.

文摘Background During approximately 10,000 years of domestication and selection,a large number of structural variations(SVs)have emerged in the genome of pig breeds, profoundly influencing their phenotypes and the ability to adapt to the local environment.SVs(≥50 bp)are widely distributed in the genome, mainly in the form of insertion(INS),mobile element insertion(MEI),deletion(DEL),duplication(DUP),inversion(INV),and translocation(TRA).While studies have investigated the SVs in pig genomes,genome-wide association studies(GWAS)-based on SVs have been rarely conducted. Results Here,we obtained a high-quality SV map containing 123,151 SVs from 15 Large White and 15 Min pigs through integrating the power of several SV tools, with 53.95%of the SVs being reported for the first time. These high-quality SVs were used to recover the population genetic structure, confirming the accuracy of genotyping.Potential functional SV loci were then identified based on positional effects and breed stratification. Finally,GWAS were performed for 36 traits by genotyping the screened potential causal loci in the F2 population according to their corresponding genomic positions. We identified a large number of loci involved in 8 carcass traits and 6 skeletal traits on chromosome 7,with FKBP5 containing the most significant SV locus for almost all traits. In addition,we found several significant loci in intramuscular fat, abdominal circumference, heart weight, and liver weight, etc. Conclusions We constructed a high-quality SV map using high-coverage sequencing data and then analyzed them by performing GWAS for 25 carcass traits,7 skeletal traits, and 4 meat quality traits to determine that SVs may affect body size between European and Chinese pig breeds.

文摘In this work, the structure, viscosity and ion-exchange process of Na_(2)O-MgO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2) glasses with different Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) molar ratios were investigated. The results showed that, with increasing Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) ratio, the simple structural units Q_(1) and Q_(2) transformed into highly aggregated structural units Q_(3) and Q_(4),indicating the increase of polymerization degree of glass network.Meanwhile, the coefficient of thermal expansion decreased from 9.23×10^(-6)℃^(-1) to 8.88×10^(-6)℃^(-1).The characteristic temperatures such as melting, forming, softening and glass transition temperatures increased with the increase of Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) ratio, while the glasses working temperature range became narrow. The increasing Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) ratio and prolonging ion-exchange time enhanced the surface compressive stress(CS)and depth of stress layer(DOL).However, the increase of ion exchange temperature increased the DOL and decreased the CS affected by stress relaxation. There was a good linear relationship between stress relaxation and surface compressive stress.Chemical strengthening significantly improved the hardness of glasses, which reached the maximum value of(622.1±10)MPa for sample with Al_(2)O_(3)/SiO_(2) ratio of 0.27 after heat treated at 410℃for 2 h.

文摘In this paper, we propose a novel anomaly detection method for data centers based on a combination of graphstructure and abnormal attention mechanism. Experimental results demonstrate that ourproposed method significantly improves the accuracy and stability of anomaly detection.

文摘Valleytronics is an emergent discipline in condensed matter physics and offers a new way to encode and manipulate information based on the valley degree of freedom in materials. This article summarizes the current challenges and prospects for further research on Kekulé distorted graphene and its potential applications in valleytronics.

文摘Materials with kagome lattices have attracted significant research attention due to their nontrivial features in energy bands. We theoretically investigate the evolution of electronic band structures of kagome lattices in response to uniaxial strain using both a tight-binding model and an antidot model based on a periodic muffin-tin potential. It is found that the Dirac points move with applied strain.Furthermore, the flat band of unstrained kagome lattices is found to develop into a highly anisotropic shape under a stretching strain along y direction, forming a partially flat band with a region dispersionless along ky direction while dispersive along kx direction. Our results shed light on the possibility of engineering the electronic band structures of kagome materials by mechanical strain.

文摘On an agrosilvopastoral farm in central Italy where Maremmana cattle graze in Turkey oak forests,we evaluated the impact of different livestock densities on stand structure, tree diversity and natural regeneration in four types of grazed areas based on the grazing regime adopted:calf-grazed,high-intensity-grazed,low-intensity-grazed,ungrazed control. For each area,we set up three permanent circular plots(radius of 15 m)to survey the structural and dasometric characteristics of the overstorey, understorey, and regeneration layer. The results showed that grazing negatively affected the complexity of the forest structure and its potential to regenerate and maintain a high level of biodiversity. The differences in stand structure observed between the grazing areas were closely related to livestock density. The most sensitive components of the system were the understorey and the regeneration layers.Contrarily, the current grazing management did not affect the dominant tree structure or its composition. Our findings identified medium-term monitoring and regeneration management as the two significant aspects to consider when assessing sustainable livestock.New forests can be established by excluding graz-ing for about 20–25 years.

文摘Lithium-sulfur battery(LSB)has brought much attention and concern because of high theoretical specific capacity and energy density as one of main competitors for next-generation energy storage systems. The widely commercial application and development of LSB is mainly hindered by serious“shuttle effect”of lithium polysulfides(Li PSs),slow reaction kinetics, notorious lithium dendrites, etc. In various structures of LSB materials, array structured materials, possessing the composition of ordered micro units with the same or similar characteristics of each unit, present excellent application potential for various secondary cells due to some merits such as immobilization of active substances, high specific surface area, appropriate pore sizes, easy modification of functional material surface, accommodated huge volume change, enough facilitated transportation for electrons/lithium ions, and special functional groups strongly adsorbing Li PSs.Thus many novel array structured materials are applied to battery for tackling thorny problems mentioned above. In this review, recent progresses and developments on array structured materials applied in LSBs including preparation ways, collaborative structural designs based on array structures, and action mechanism analyses in improving electrochemical performance and safety are summarized.Meanwhile,we also have detailed discussion for array structured materials in LSBs and constructed the structure-function relationships between array structured materials and battery performances.Lastly, some directions and prospects about preparation ways, functional modifications, and practical applications of array structured materials in LSBs are generalized. We hope the review can attract more researchers'attention and bring more studying on array structured materials for other secondary batteries including LSB.

文摘Separators play a critical role in the safety and performance of lithium-ion batteries. However, commercial polyolefin separators are limited by their poor affinity with electrolytes and low melting points. In this work,we constructed a reinforced-concrete-like structure by homogeneously dispersing nano-Al_(2)O_(3) and cellulose on the separators to improve their stability and performance. In this reinforcedconcrete-like structure, the cellulose is a reinforcing mesh, and the nano-Al_(2)O_(3) acts as concrete to support the separator. After constructing the reinforced-concrete-like structure, the separators exhibit good stability even at 200℃(thermal shrinkage of 0.3%),enhanced tensile strain(tensile stress of 133.4 MPa and tensile strains of 62%),and better electrolyte wettability(a contact angle of 6.5°).Combining these advantages, the cells with nano-Al_(2)O_(3)@cellulose-coated separators exhibit stable cycling performance and good rate performance. Therefore, the construction of the reinforced-concretelike structure is a promising technology to promote the application of lithium-ion batteries in extreme environments.

文摘By combination of the transient Raman spectroscopic measurement and the density functional theoretical calculations, the structural evolution and stability of TATB under shock compression was investigated.Due to the improvement in synchronization control between two-stage light gas gun and the transient Raman spectra acquisition,as well as the sample preparation, the Raman peak of the N-O mode of TATB was firstly observed under shock pressure up to 13.6 GPa,noticeably higher than the upper limit of 8.5 GPa reported in available literatures.By taking into account of the continuous shift of the main peak and other observed Raman peaks,we did not distinguish any structural transition or any new species. Moreover, both the present Raman spectra and the time-resolved radiation of TATB during shock loading showed that TATB exhibits higher chemical stability than previous declaration. To reveal the detailed structural response and evolution of TATB under compression, the density functional theoretical calculations were conducted, and it was found that the pressure make N-O bond lengths shorter, nitro bond angles larger, and intermolecular and intra-molecular hydrogen bond interactions enhanced. The observed red shift of Raman peak was ascribed to the abnormal enhancement of H-bound effect on the scissor vibration mode of the nitro group.

文摘As highly social animals,Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins(Sousa chinensis)exhibit community differentiation.Nevertheless, our understanding of the external and internal factors influencing these dynamics,as well as their spatiotemporal variations,is still limited. In the present study, variations in the social structure of an endangered Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin population in Xiamen Bay,China, were monitored over two distinct periods(2007–2010 and 2017–2019)to analyze the effects of habitat utilization and the composition of individuals within the population. In both periods, the population demonstrated a strikingly similar pattern of social differentiation, characterized by the division of individuals into two main clusters and one small cluster.Spatially, the two primary clusters occupied the eastern and western waters, respectively, although the core distribution area of the eastern cluster shifted further eastward between the two periods.Despite this distribution shift, the temporal stability of the social structure and inter-associations within the eastern cluster remained unaffected.A subset of 16individuals observed in both periods, comprising 51.6%and 43.2%of the population in each respective period, emerged as a foundational element of the social structure and may be responsible for sustaining social structure stability, especially during the 2007–2010 period. These observations suggest that the composition of dominant individuals,an internal factor, had a more substantial influence on the formation of the social network than changes in habitat use,an external factor.Consequently, the study proposes distinct conservation measures tailored to each of the two main clusters.
