Cross-Cultural Adjustment and Coping:U.S.Students in Taiwan Residents Higher Education

The aim of this study was to investigate the adjustment problems of students from the United States enrolled in universities in the East,specifically in Taiwan,their problems related to cultural adaptation,and the process of adjustment to student life in Taiwan.Under investigation were cultural adjustment and coping skills as these students transitioned from West to East.Qualitative data were collected from interviews with participants and faculty members as well as participant observations.Results indicated that U.S.students found their own ways to acclimate to their new academic setting as well as to social relations,cross-cultural issues,and the linguistic environment in Taiwan to achieve effective adaptation.They made changes in themselves to cope with all situations they encountered.This study provides suggestions for international students abroad in Taiwan,for the Taiwan Residents government,and for universities or colleges in terms of what they should offer to current and future international students.

Changes in Health Consciousness of Nursing Students in Japan after Acquiring Medical Care Knowledge from a Nursing School

Background: Health consciousness in daily life is very important because lifestyle habits, such as dietary and exercise habits, sleep, and smoking, are involved in the development and progression of lifestyle-related diseases, such as cancer, heart diseases, stroke, liver diseases, kidney diseases, and diabetes. Purpose: In this study, we surveyed to see if the health consciousness increased and what behaviors in daily life changed in students of a nursing school (Seiwa Nursing College, Tokyo, Japan) after they learned medical care knowledge required to become a nurse. Results: After learning medical care knowledge for 3 years, the students were found to have a higher level of health consciousness in the third year than they did in the first year. They applied the medical care knowledge they learned in daily life. All data were collected in 2019. Conclusions: The medical care knowledge learned in a nursing school was demonstrated to serve as information to increase the health consciousness.

Study on Consciousness of the Contemporary College Students

the emphasis of nation and society on the ideological education in colleges and universities, has made the education workers continue to deeply explore the psychological development of college students, and the college students＇ characteristics of consciousness is the key for ideological education. This paper takes the college students＇ psychological health education as the main line, to deeply study the formation and characteristics of college students＇ consciousness, in order to provide theoretical basis for developing college students＇ ideological education.

On Cultivation of Cross-Cultural Consciousness in College English Teaching

With the continuous development of the times, cultivating students＇ cross-cultural consciousness is becoming increasingly urgent. The development of new situation requires that college English teachers should also strengthen students＇ cultural content education and cultivate students＇ cross-cultural consciousness, in order to stimulate students＇ learning interest, optimize students＇ knowledge structure and improve students＇ social cultural ability while introducing language knowledge and conducting listening, speaking, reading and writing training for students. Then, how to cultivate students＇ cross-cultural consciousness in college English teaching？ This paper takes it as the theme for analysis, hoping to improve college English teaching quality.

Cross-cultural Education Model for Foreign Students in China Inte­grating Ideological and Political Education

With the deepening the“One Belt and One Road”construction,the exchanges between China and other countries in the world are increasingly frequent,the number of foreign students in China is rising,and there are cross-cultural adaptability problems of foreign students in China.The education of foreign students in China undertakes the mission of serving the national external development strategy.In order to better serve the“One Belt and One Road”construction,relying on tradition industry advantage of the School of Civil Engineering,Central South University in civil engineering and railway engineering,a set of cross-cultural education model for foreign students in China integrating ideological and political education is explored and practiced in the foreign student education management of the curriculum system,daily management,cross-cultural counseling,social practice and cultural exchanges,which can be summarized as“one goal,two combinations,three approaches,four abilities and five management measures”.This management model can effectively enhance the cross-cultural adaptability of foreign students,cultivate the emotion of knowing and being friendly to China,improve the education quality of foreign students in China,enhance the international education influence of the Central South University,and promote the spread of Chinese culture.

Cross-cultural Adaptation Analysis and Countermeasures of Overseas Chinese Students——Take University of Lincoln as an Example

This paper is an exploratory,empirical study of the Cross-Cultural Adaptation(CCA)issues of Overseas Chinese Stu⁃dents(OCS)studying at the University of Lincoln.The project identifies OCS own language proficiency,motivation of studying abroad and intercultural adaptation attitudes and strategies as the main influencing factors in students’CCA.Research methods in⁃clude Language class observation,a questionnaire survey and interviews.Additional data collection methods include using network communication tools to conduct interviews with OCS,such as Wechat,QQ,Skype and e-mail etc.Further analysis of its causes makes a meaningful contribution to practical strategies and suggestions on how to better develop and cultivate cross-cultural adapt⁃ability.

Internal and External Consciousness of Japanese Students’Intercul­tural Language Communication

Japanese strictly distinguish between inside and outside,that is,they have a strong sense of inside and outside.The character has penetrated the study and life of Japanese students.Living in a different cultural environment,Japanese students are more influenced by Internal and External Consciousness in cross-cultural communication.The purpose is to draw out the influence of Internal and External Consciousness on the intercultural communication of Japanese students and put forward targeted teaching strategies accordingly by listing the misunderstandings among Japanese students in intercultural communication through the HSK dynamic corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University.

少数民族大学生中华民族共同体意识培育路径探析

新的历史时代,以民族团结为主题的各民族共同发展已经成为中国式现代化建设的重要内容。加强少数民族大学生中华民族共同体意识建设,就要以辩证唯物主义和历史唯物主义的马克思主义科学理论为指导思想,以习近平总书记关于加强和改进民族工作重要思想的立场、观点和方法为培育抓手,发挥各方合力,共同促进少数民族大学生的中华民族共同体意识教育。具体应着力抓好以下几方面的工作:一要加大少数民族大学生马克思主义民族团结理论教育;二要促进少数民族大学生对习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想关于民族论述的正确理解;三要加强对少数民族大学生社会主义核心价值体系的培育;四要落实“石榴红”项目建设,培养少数民族大学生干部队伍。最终,使少数民族学生真正成为拥护中国共产党领导、认同社会主义核心价值观的有为之士。

基于统计过程的小学生“数据意识”培养探索

统计素养应是人们身处这个数据时代所必备的素养之一,而在大部分研究者看来,这一素养的养成需要建立在统计过程之上。从学生学习统计的角度出发,研究认为,统计过程应该包括问题与目的、数据收集、数据整理与表示、数据分析与解释、判断与决策五个方面。基于此,作为统计素养中的组成部分“数据意识”来说,它的培养需要突显真实性、选择性、交互性、批判性以及反思性等要义。鉴于此,“百分数”内容在“新课标”中的变化使其具有培养小学生“数据意识”的代表性,且在统计过程之下,研究认为可以通过基于真实情境引发统计问题、联结已知选择合适统计量、借助多元表征理解统计量、运用统计量对话判断与决策以及反思统计过程留有学习余地来促进“数据意识”的培养,进而为小学阶段相关统计内容的教学提供参考。

客体化身体意识与女大学生限制性饮食行为的关系:外貌负面评价恐惧和社会文化压力的中介作用

为探讨客体化身体意识与女大学生限制性饮食行为的关系,选取727名女大学生进行调查,采用客体化身体意识量表、进食态度量表、外貌负面评价恐惧量表及社会文化压力量表进行测量。结果显示:(1)客体化身体意识框架中身体羞耻能够显著正向预测女大学生的限制性饮食行为,身体监视无法显著预测女大学生限制性饮食行为;(2)外貌负面评价恐惧与社会文化压力在身体羞耻与女大学生限制性饮食行为间分别起独立中介作用;(3)外貌负面评价恐惧与社会文化压力在身体羞耻与女大学生限制性饮食行为间起链式中介作用。研究结果可为我国大学生心理健康教育实践提供依据。

破除和谐师生关系景观化的迷思

和谐师生关系意指师生间、师生与教育环境间达成的协调统一关系。通过解放固有角色、注重发展过程、体会交互共生,构筑了和谐师生关系的理想样态。和谐师生关系能够促进学生整全发展,驱动教师个体成长,推动教与学的共同进步。但以“有意识的表演和作秀”为特征的景观化现象瓦解了师生关系异质性的发展内核,致使学生的主体性假象被推崇、师生关系的发展过程被虚化、师生关系的育人价值被遮蔽,偏离了和谐师生关系的真实向度。超越景观化现象需复归其中具体的“人”,除了从师生的内在视角提出可行方案,还需要家庭、学校、社会协力共助,通过唤醒师生主观意识与过程性思维,达到和谐师生关系的自主、自觉发展,在彰显育人价值、营造健康氛围的过程中走出和谐师生关系景观化的局限。

新时代大学生服务乡村振兴的意识调查分析

乡村振兴是新时代三农工作的总抓手,引导新时代大学生投身乡村振兴是解决当前我国农村人才缺乏的重要举措,也是解决当前大学生就业困难的重要渠道。该文通过对重庆四所高校学生的问卷调查与访谈,了解新时代大学生服务乡村振兴的意识,分析存在的困境并提出相应对策。研究发现,新时代大学生服务乡村振兴面临的困境主要由乡村发展前景不符合大学生就业预期、高校缺乏系统和完善的教育体系、大学生的专业难以契合乡村振兴的需求3方面构成,应通过高校引导大学生树立正确的服务观念、政府拓展就业市场优化人才结构、开展全方位宣传展现农村新面貌等策略,提升大学生服务乡村振兴的意识,实现乡村振兴人才需求。

公我意识与大学生焦虑抑郁的关系:内控型归因的中介作用

目的了解大学生焦虑抑郁的现状,探讨公我意识、内控型归因与焦虑抑郁之间的关系。方法采用抑郁-焦虑-压力量表的简体中文版(DASS-21)、自我意识量表(SCS)、多维度-多归因因果量表(MMCS)对300名大学生进行问卷调查。结果①大学生的焦虑抑郁水平普遍较高,且不同性别、年级、独生与否大学生的焦虑抑郁水平差异具有统计学意义;②公我意识与焦虑抑郁呈正相关(r=0.229,P<0.001),公我意识与内控型归因呈正相关(r=0.230,P<0.01),内控型归因与焦虑抑郁呈正相关(r=0.504,P<0.01);③内控型归因在公我意识与焦虑抑郁之间发挥部分中介作用,中介作用占比为47.62%。结论公我意识不仅能够直接影响大学生的焦虑抑郁情绪,还会通过影响大学生对负性事件的内控型归因倾向间接导致其产生焦虑抑郁情绪。
