T...The aim of this study is to reveal and classify kinds and levels of questions raised by EFL (English as a foreign language) teachers and students in the 10th-grade classes in Irbid Second Directorate of Education. The sample consisted of 20 teachers: 10 males and 10 females who taught 10th-grade classes, and 20 10th-grade classes: 10 male classes and 10 female classes where the interaction was held. Analysis of the kinds and levels of classroom questions raised by both teachers and students was done. An X2-test was used in analyzing the data of this study to see whether there was a significant difference in the kinds and levels of classroom questions between male and female students. The finding of the study showed that male and female teachers raised three kinds of questions: wh-, yes/no, and multiple choice, there were no differences between male and female teachers in the kinds of questions raised. This study recommended that EFL teachers should vary their teaching procedures and use other different types and levels of questions, other than the types and levels mentioned above.展开更多

As a major group of using smart phones, college students have also experienced situations in which the use of mobile phones has decreased the efficiency of learning and escaped from academic pressure. This is a quantitative research for college student in Halmstad that aims at exploring the relevance between smartphone addiction and interaction anxiousness. The sample of 123 college students using smartphone was collected and using incidental sampling method with the use of college students' smartphone addiction scale and interaction anxiousness scale as questionnaires to collect data. The analysis of descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, independent-sample t-test, and regression et al. was used on SPSS 23. According to the results, The smartphone addiction is not common among Swedish college students. The overall status of college students' interaction anxiousness is close to a moderate level. Interaction anxiousness has significant differences in gender, subject and grade. There is a significant positive correlation between smartphone addiction and interaction anxiousness. Interaction anxiousness has a certain predictive effect on smartphone addiction.展开更多

General levels of usage are analyzed as well as correlation to curricular disciplines, An online survey of faculty members at Indiana University of Pennsylvania found maior changes in the type and frequency of contact between professors and students as well as a shift from personal contact to e-mail and telephone usage. A vast majority of material taught in classes is available online. Theoretically, a student could learn almost everything they want from the online resources. In this research, a comparative study is done between students learning and understanding when some basic aerospace concepts are taught in a traditional lecture based classroom versus when students are told to look for the same material on the internet. The results indicate that, although all the material taught in the classroom is available on the internet, students do not perform better when they exclusively use internet for learning. During the COVID-19 pandemic crisis,many universities around the world made a drastic change by transferring most of their offline classes to emergency remote learning(ERL).The aim of this study was to explore how Chi...During the COVID-19 pandemic crisis,many universities around the world made a drastic change by transferring most of their offline classes to emergency remote learning(ERL).The aim of this study was to explore how Chinese students,who studied in United Kingdom(UK)and United States(US)universities during the 2020/21 academic year,perceive their experiences of remote learning.As the UK and the US have two relatively advanced education systems,the arrangements of their universities for ERL and their support for international students are worth exploring.Moreover,during the ERL,a portion of Chinese students had online classes in their home countries instead of the country in which their universities are located.Therefore,semi-structured interviews were carried out to explore the academic experiences and social interaction of students who studied in UK and US universities,while remaining in China.The data were analyzed using the thematic analysis method.The findings showed that ERL was perceived negatively by students despite its flexibility in areas of academic learning experiences and social interaction.展开更多
