The synthesized materials were characteri...A novel materials design procedure based on the co-doping of metal nanoparticle and azo dye compound (MNPADC) is developed to improve the properties of functional molecules. The synthesized materials were characterized by transmission electron micrograph (TEM), ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra (UV-Vis) and fluorescence spectra (FS). It was found that the fluorescence intensity of methyl orange (MO) was enhanced by 5 times in the aqueous composite system doped with silver nanoparticles whereas it was reduced by 15% and 20% in composite films with co-mixing and coating structures, respectively. The results indicate that the properties of functional molecules can be greatly improved in composite film with supra molecular structure and that the procedure presented here is effective.展开更多
Ophiolites along the indus Suture Zone (ISZ) are important not only for the information they provide about the India\|Eurasia collision,but may also contain economic mineral deposits (chrome,noble metals,and Ni\|sulfi...Ophiolites along the indus Suture Zone (ISZ) are important not only for the information they provide about the India\|Eurasia collision,but may also contain economic mineral deposits (chrome,noble metals,and Ni\|sulfides).Several ophiolites occur in the ISZ,and the Nidar ophiolite is one that occurs on the eastern Ladakh.This paper presents the geochemistry of ultramafic rocks from the Nidar ophiolite to understand tectonic environment and economic potential.Nidar ophiolite consists of pillow lavas,radiolarian cherts,rodingites,peridotites and chromitites.The lower part of the ophiolite consists of tectonized harzburgite,hosting dunite enveloped podiform chromitites.The transition zone between upper mantle and lower oceanic crust is characterized by serpentinized dunite with disseminations of chromites.Peridotites in Nidar have low whole\|rock values of w (TiO\-2)(0 02%~0 03%), w (Al\-2O\-3)(2%~3%), w (CaO)(0.5%), w (Zr)(40×10 -6 ),and w (Y)(30×10 -6 ),and enriched in refractory elements such as w (Cr)((3000~5000)×10 -6 )and w (Ni)((3000~4000)×10 -6 ).Thus,the Nidar peridotites are more depleted in elements partitioned into the liquid,such as Al and Ca and the moderately refractory element Ti.The peridotites have fractionated chondrite\|normalized PGE patterns.These geochemical characteristics suggests their formation by high degrees of partial melting in a supra\|subduction zone environment,where melting was enhanced by addition of volatiles.The Cr # of 0.82 in the chromite of the chromitites also suggests a depleted mantle source and a supra\|subduction zone environment for the host rocks.Ophiolites formed in supra\|subduction zone setting are very conducive for many metallic and non\|metallic mineral deposits.展开更多

Here, we showfirst experimental results, where all the plasma facing components were actively cooled duringpulses exceeding four minutes, with reactor-relevant heat load. New physics was observed innon-inductively driven plasmas, including a stationary peaked radial profile of the plasma densitygenerated by an anomalous inward pinch; and a regime characterized by sinusoidal oscillations ofcentral electron temperature, governed by non-linear coupling between heat transport and plasmacurrent analogous to a predator-prey mechanism.展开更多
The aim of this study was to compare differences in imaging quality at different injection rates of gadobutrol(Gadovist? 1.0M) for dynamic supra-aortic imaging by contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography(CEM R...The aim of this study was to compare differences in imaging quality at different injection rates of gadobutrol(Gadovist? 1.0M) for dynamic supra-aortic imaging by contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance angiography(CEM RA). In 6 healthy volunteers,dynamic CEM RA examinations were performed twice at a 7 d interval with a gadobutrol dose of 0.1 mmol given to 1 kg body mass. For the two examinations,the contrast medium was injected at rates of 1.5 mL/s and 2.0 mL/s,followed by 20 mL normal saline injected at the same rate. Using a GE Signa 3.0T M R apparatus and the time-resolved imaging of contrast kinetics(TRICKS) technique,scanning was performed continuously for 15 phases at a time resolution of about 2.4 s. Vascular reconstruction was undertaken by multiplane reconstruction and maximum intensity projection techniques. Two radiologists experienced in CEM RA diagnosis subjectively evaluated the contrast effect,vascular detail,and pseudo-shadow of all images,and graded them via a 5-point scale. With the two drug injection rates,the image quality,peak signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio(CNR) were compared for imaging of the infra-aortic arch,brachiocephalic trunk,subclavian artery(left/right),common carotid artery(left/right),internal carotid artery(left/right),and external carotid artery(left/right). Characteristics of the time-signal-intensity(T-S-I) curves were also analyzed at the two injection rates. All studies were performed successfully,without any complications. There was good image quality with both gadobutrol injection rates of 1.5 mL/s and 2.0 mL/s,and subjective scores for image quality,SNR and CNR were not significantly different between the two rates(P > 0.05). The time-to-peak(TTP) from the hand dorsal vein injection site to the carotid artery ranged from 16.0 s to 27.1 s(mean 21.7 s ±3.4 s) in the 6 subjects,and was also not significantly different between the two drug injection rates(P > 0.05). We conclude that dynamic CEM RA examination of the supra-aortic arch with gadobutrol injection at a rate of 1.5 mL/s was feasible,and satisfactorily reflected vascular shape and dynamic blood flow information.展开更多
