This study aims to clarify the factors influencing oil recovery of surfactant-polymer(SP)flooding and to establish a quantitative calculation model of oil recovery during different displacement stages from water flooding to SP flooding. The conglomerate reservoir of the Badaowan Formation in the seventh block of the Karamay Oilfield is selected as the research object to reveal the start-up mechanism of residual oil and determine the controlling factors of oil recovery through SP flooding experiments of natural cores and microetching models. The experimental results are used to identify four types of residual oil after water flooding in this conglomerate reservoir with a complex pore structure:oil droplets retained in pore throats by capillary forces, oil cluster trapped at the junction of pores and throats, oil film on the rock surface, isolated oil in dead-ends of flow channel. For the four types of residual oil identified, the SP solution can enhance oil recovery by enlarging the sweep volume and improving the oil displacement efficiency.First, the viscosity-increasing effect of the polymer can effectively reduce the permeability of the displacement liquid phase, change the oil-water mobility ratio, and increase the water absorption.Furthermore, the stronger the shear drag force of the SP solution, the more the crude oil in a porous medium is displaced.Second, the surfactant can change the rock wettability and reduce the absorption capacity of residual oil by lowering interfacial tension. At the same time, the emulsification further increases the viscosity of the SP solution, and the residual oil is recovered effectively under the combined effect of the above two factors. For the four start-up mechanisms of residual oil identified after water flooding, enlarging the sweep volume and improving the oil displacement efficiency are interdependent, but their contribution to enhanced oil recovery are different. The SP flooding system primarily enlarges the sweep volume by increasing viscosity of solution to start two kinds of residual oil such as oil droplet retained in pore throats and isolated oil in dead-ends of flow channel, and primarily improves the oil displacement efficiency by lowing interfacial tension of oil phase to start two kinds of residual oil such as oil cluster trapped at the junction of pores and oil film on the rock surface. On this basis, the experimental results of the oil displacement from seven natural cores show that the pore structure of the reservoir is the main factor influencing water flooding recovery, while the physical properties and original oil saturation have relatively little influence. The main factor influencing SP flooding recovery is the physical and chemical properties of the solution itself, which primarily control the interfacial tension and solution viscosity in the reservoir. The residual oil saturation after water flooding is the material basis of SP flooding, and it is the second-most dominant factor controlling oil recovery.Combined with the analysis results of the influencing factors and reservoir parameters, the water flooding recovery index and SP flooding recovery index are defined to further establish quantitative calculation models of oil recovery under different displacement modes. The average relative errors of the two models are 4.4%and 2.5%,respectively;thus,they can accurately predict the oil recovery of different displacement stages and the ultimate reservoir oil recovery. 展开更多

Carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)has emerged in oil and gas industries as a superior substitution to the conventional HPAM and xanthan gum(XG)for high viscosity polymer flooding application. In this study, the combined effect of conventional surfactant, sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate(SDBS)and CMC for potential surfactant-polymer(SP)flooding in enhanced oil recovery(EOR)has been investigated.Thereafter,SDBS–CMC interaction and the functional groups present in CMC were appropriately identified. The presence of various C–O bonds signifies the existence of carboxymethyl group which greatly influence the rheological properties of CMC solution. The behaviour of SDBS–CMC was characterized by their viscosity, shear rate, solubilization, wettability, and surface tension.Tertiary flooding utilizing SDBS-CMC was performed and compared to commercial SDBS-XG SP flooding. The results indicate several SDBS-CMC combinations are favourable for EOR application.Solution viscosity shows direct relationship with CMC concentrations.Consequently,at any given SDBS concentrations, significant increment was observed at 0.3 wt%and above. However, the trend displayed inconclusive relation to SDBS fractions.Majority of the SDBS-CMC combinations generate Winsor III emulsions particularly at CMC of 0.2 and 0.3 wt%,while Type II were observed in few combinations.Increasing CMC concentrations increased the contact angle, while gradual reductions were observed with SDBS concentrations. The gradual reduction in surface tension was highly influenced by the addition of CMC rather than SDBS.A novel combination of 0.3 wt%SDBS and 0.4 wt%CMC possessed an encouraging criterion in term of viscosity, solubilization, and surface tension reduction for EOR application.Flooding experiment from several SDBS-CMC combinations proved to recover additional oil ranging 16.4–20.2%of oil initially in place(OIIP).The trend in incremental oil recovery is similar to that of when utilising SDBS-XG. 展开更多

Polymer flooding in fractured wells has been extensively applied in oilfields to enhance oil recovery. In contrast to water, polymer solution exhibits non-Newtonian and nonlinear behavior such as effects of shear thinning and shear thickening, polymer convection, diffusion, adsorption retention, inaccessible pore volume and reduced effective permeability.Meanwhile, the flux density and fracture conductivity along the hydraulic fracture are generally non-uniform due to the effects of pressure distribution, formation damage, and proppant breakage. In this paper,we present an oil-water two-phase flow model that captures these complex non-Newtonian and nonlinear behavior, and non-uniform fracture characteristics in fractured polymer flooding. The hydraulic fracture is firstly divided into two parts:high-conductivity fracture near the wellbore and low-conductivity fracture in the far-wellbore section.A hybrid grid system, including perpendicular bisection(PEBI)and Cartesian grid,is applied to discrete the partial differential flow equations, and the local grid refinement method is applied in the near-wellbore region to accurately calculate the pressure distribution and shear rate of polymer solution. The combination of polymer behavior characterizations and numerical flow simulations are applied, resulting in the calculation for the distribution of water saturation, polymer concentration and reservoir pressure.Compared with the polymer flooding well with uniform fracture conductivity, this non-uniform fracture conductivity model exhibits the larger pressure difference, and the shorter bilinear flow period due to the decrease of fracture flow ability in the far-wellbore section. The field case of the fall-off test demonstrates that the proposed method characterizes fracture characteristics more accurately, and yields fracture half-lengths that better match engineering reality, enabling a quantitative segmented characterization of the near-wellbore section with high fracture conductivity and the far-wellbore section with low fracture conductivity. The novelty of this paper is the analysis of pressure performances caused by the fracture dynamics and polymer rheology,as well as an analysis method that derives formation and fracture parameters based on the pressure and its derivative curves. 展开更多

Abiotic stress, including flooding, seriously affects the normal growth and development of plants.Mulberry(Morus alba),a species known for its flood resistance,is cultivated worldwide for economic purposes. The transcriptomic analysis has identified numerous differentially expressed genes(DEGs)involved in submergence tolerance in mulberry plants. However,a comprehensive analyses of metabolite types and changes under flooding stress in mulberry remain unreported.A non-targeted metabolomic analysis utilizing liquid chromatographytandem mass spectrometry(LC-MS/MS)was conducted to further investigate the effects of flooding stress on mulberry.A total of 1,169 metabolites were identified, with 331 differentially accumulated metabolites(DAMs)exhibiting up-regulation in response to flooding stress and 314 displaying down-regulation.Pathway enrichment analysis identified significant modifications in many metabolic pathways due to flooding stress, including amino acid biosynthesis and metabolism and flavonoid biosynthesis.DAMs and DEGs are significantly enriched in the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways for amino acid, phenylpropanoid and flavonoid synthesis.Furthermore, metabolites such as methyl jasmonate, sucrose, and D-mannose 6-phosphate accumulated in mulberry leaves post-flooding stress. Therefore, genes and metabolites associated with these KEGG pathways are likely to exert a significant influence on mulberry flood tolerance. This study makes a substantial contribution to the comprehension of the underlying mechanisms implicated in the adaptation of mulberry plants to submergence. 展开更多

Ultra-low permeability reservoirs are characterized by small pore throats and poor physical properties, which areat the root of well-known problems related to injection and production. In this study, a gas injection floodingapproach is analyzed in the framework of numerical simulations. In particular, the sequence and timing of fracturechanneling and the related impact on production are considered for horizontal wells with different fracturemorphologies. Useful data and information are provided about the regulation of gas channeling and possible strategiesto delay gas channeling and optimize the gas injection volume and fracture parameters. It is shown that inorder to mitigate gas channeling and ensure high production, fracture length on the sides can be controlled andlonger fractures can be created in the middle by which full gas flooding is obtained at the fracture location in themiddle of the horizontal well. A Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm is provided by which the gas injectionvolume and the fracture parameters of gas injection flooding can be optimized. It is shown that an improvedoil recovery factor as high as 6% can be obtained. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Superimposed high-frequency jet ventilation(SHFJV)is suitable for respiratory motion reduction and essential for effective lung tumor ablation.Fluid filling of the target lung wing one-lung flooding(OLF)is necessary for therapeutic ultrasound applications. However, whether unilateral SHFJV allows adequate hemodynamics and gas exchange is unclear.AIM To compared SHFJV with pressure-controlled ventilation(PCV)during OLF by assessing hemodynamics and gas exchange in different animal positions.METHODS SHFJV or PCV was used alternatingly to ventilate the non-flooded lungs of the 12 anesthetized pigs during OLF.The animal positions were changed from left lateral position to supine position(SP)to right lateral position(RLP)every 30 min.In each position, ventilation was maintained for 15 min in both modalities.Hemodynamic variables and arterial blood gas levels were repeatedly measured.RESULTS Unilateral SHFJV led to lower carbon dioxide removal than PCV without abnormally elevated carbon dioxide levels.SHFJV slightly decreased oxygenation in SP and RLP compared with PCV;the lowest values of PaO_(2) and PaO_(2)/FiO_(2) ratio were found in SP[13.0;interquartile range(IQR):12.6-5.6 and 32.5(IQR:31.5-38.9)kPa].Conversely,during SHFJV,the shunt fraction was higher in all animal positions(highest in the RLP:0.30).CONCLUSION In porcine model, unilateral SHFJV may provide adequate ventilation in different animal positions during OLF.Lower oxygenation and CO_(2) removal rates compared to PCV did not lead to hypoxia or hypercapnia.SHFJV can be safely used for lung tumor ablation to minimize ventilation-induced lung motion. 展开更多

To improve effectiveness of ASP flooding, it is necessary to establish a reliable parameter design and tracking adjustment method to monitor the process of oil displacement. A differential wide field electromagnetic method was proposed and applied to the ASP displacement monitoring test in a block of the Daqing Oilfield. In the process of ASP flooding, the electromagnetic field was measured many times. The data acquired before the ASP flooding were set as the background field, and the resistivity model was obtained by inversion. Then, the resistivity data were calibrated by logging data and the resistivity model was established. Finally, the range and front of ASP flooding were deduced with the residual gradient from the spatial domain first-order difference of the resistivity model. Production data of well groups in this block have proved that this method can work out the range and front of ASP flooding accurately, providing support for optimization of ASP flooding parameters. 展开更多

This review presents our perspective on the factors that have brought polymer flooding to its current state. Insights are provided on why HPAM is the dominant polymer used as well as what is needed to make alternative polymers and mobility-control methods viable. Explanation is given for why large polymer banks are needed for polymer flooding, and design of the injected polymer viscosity is detailed for cases with/without crossflow. The role of fractures and horizontal wells are discussed for improving injectivity and extending polymer flooding to recover oils with viscosities as high as 10,000 cP. Operational improvements are described to minimize mechanical and oxidative stability to allow HPAM polymers to be viable to 70 °C and ATBS polymers to 120 °C. Key factors affecting polymer retention are summarized. The paper points out unresolved issues and future directions for polymer flooding. 展开更多

The coastal zone of Benin is inherited from the last marine oscillations of the Quaternary. A rich and very fragile environment, it presented until the 1960s, a shoreline in dynamic equilibrium over the entire 125 km of coastal line. Since the 1960s, with the construction of important development infrastructures (ports, dams, groins), the Beninese coast is now subject to risks of coastal erosion and seasonal flooding due to the overflow of lagoon water bodies. The present study, based on socio-economic surveys in the communes of Ouidah, Comè and Grand Popo, exposes the extent of coastal risks and socio-economic and environmental damage in the southwestern coastal zone of Benin. The results show that in terms of land, 2.9 ha and 5.7 ha of land have been permanently lost to coastal erosion in the communes of Ouidah and Grand Popo respectively. Similarly, 212 ha of crops of all types were affected by the flooding, including 35 ha destroyed, i.e. 6.67 ha, 11.3 ha in Comè, 4.67 ha Ouidah and 14 ha Grand Popo. Also, 6435 buildings were affected, and 4235 huts were damaged. In addition, working tools, food stocks and other items are counted among the losses recorded by coastal hazards with their corollaries of diseases. The cost of losses and damages in the 08 districts amount to 418,000,000f cfa of which 266,000,000f cfa of damage and 152,000,000f cfa of loss. 展开更多

[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore how to improve the waterlogging tolerance of red-seed watermelon through grafting,to provide a theoretical basis for its cultivation in rainy season.[Methods]The effects of flooding stress on the growth and root physiological and biochemical characteristics of grafted and own-rooted red-seed watermelon seedlings were studied using Luffa as rootstocks and"Zhongxin 1"red-seed watermelon as scions.[Results]After flooding stress, the biomass and root activity of grafted seedlings of red-seed watermelon were significantly higher than those of own-rooted seedlings. With the prolongation of flooding stress time, the soluble sugar and proline content showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing, and the grafted seedlings had a larger increase and a smaller decrease, and were always significantly higher than own-rooted seedlings in the same period. The content of malondialdehyde in the root system of grafted seedlings increased first and then decreased, while it continued to increase in own-rooted seedlings, and the increase in own-rooted seedlings was significantly greater than that in grafted seedlings during the same period.[Conclusions]Grafting on Luffa rootstocks could improve waterlogging tolerance of red-seed watermelon. 展开更多

This study aims to apply a hydrogeological approaches and analysis of the 2021 flood event of Tasi-Tolu Lagoon to achieve four specific goals. Firstly, the study seeks to determine the natural characteristics of the lagoon, which include factors such as size, depth, water quality, and ecosystem composition. Secondly, the influence of precipitation on the water volume in the lagoon will be examined. This analysis involves assessing historical rainfall patterns in the region, as well as the amount and frequency of precipitation during the 2021 flood event. Thirdly, the hydrogeologic and geologic conditions of the lagoon will be evaluated. This involves examining factors such as the type and structure of the soil and bedrock, the presence of aquifers or other underground water sources, and the movement of water through the surrounding landscape. Finally, the study seeks to assess the risk of future flooding in Tasi-Tolu Lagoon, based on the insights gained from the previous analyses. Overall, this study’s goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the hydrogeological factors that contribute to flooding in Tasi-Tolu Lagoon. This knowledge could be used to inform flood mitigation strategies or to improve our ability to predict and respond to future flooding events in the region. 展开更多

Cold production is a challenge in the case of heavy oil because of its high viscosity and poor fluidity in reservoir conditions.Alkali-cosolvent-polymer flooding is a type of microemulsion flooding with low costs and possible potential for heavy oil reservoirs. However, the addition of polymer may cause problems with injection in the case of highly viscous oil.Hence,in this study the feasibility of alkali-cosolvent(AC)flooding in heavy oil reservoirs was investigated via several groups of experiments. The interfacial tension between various AC formulations and heavy crude oil was measured to select appropriate formulations.Phase behavior tests were performed to determine the most appropriate formulation and conditions for the generation of a microemulsion.Sandpack flooding experiments were carried out to investigate the displacement efficiency of the selected Ac formulation. The results showed that the interfacial tension between an AC formulation and heavy oil could be reduced to below 1o-3 mN/m but differed greatly between different types of cosolvent.A butanol random polyether series displayed good performance in reducing the water-oil interfacial tension, which made it possible to form a Type Il microemulsion in reservoir conditions.According to the results of the phase behavior tests, the optimal salinity for different formulations with four cosolvent concentrations(0.5 wt%,1 wt%,2 wt%,and 3 wt%)was 4000,8000,14000,and 20000 ppm, respectively. The results of rheological measurements showed that Type Ill microemulsion had a viscosity that was ten times that of water. The results of sandpack flooding experiments showed that,in comparison with waterflooding, the injection of a certain Ac formulation slug could reduce the injection pressure. The pressure gradient during waterflooding and AC flooding was around 870 and 30-57 kPa/m,respectively.With the addition of an AC slug, the displacement efficiency was 30%-50%higher than in the case of waterflooding. 展开更多

The Safaga Region(SR)is part of the Red Sea mountain range in Egypt.Catastrophic flash flooding is now an inescapable event, wreaking havoc and causing massive loss of life and property. The majority of the floodwater, however, has been wasted as runoff to the Red Sea,which,if used wisely, could meet a fraction of the water demands for a variety of applications in this area. The current work aims to use GIS techniques to integrate remote sensing data for evaluating, mitigating, and managing flash floods in SR.The data set comprised Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM)thematic rainfall data,1:50,000 scale topographical map sheets, geological maps, the ASTER Digital Elevation Model(ASTER GDEM),Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper"(ETM7+),and Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager. The flash flood risk model of SR is developed using ArcGIS-10.3 geoprocessing tools integrating all the causal factors thematic maps. The final flood risk model for the SR suggests that 57%of the total basins in the SR are at high risk of flooding.Almost 38%of all basins are at moderate flood risk. The remaining 5%of basins are less prone to flooding.Flood-prone zones were identified, suitable dam-building sites were located, and extremely probable areas for water recharge were recognized. On the basis of reliable scientific data, structural and non-structural mitigation strategies that might reduce the damage susceptibility, alleviate the sensitivity of the flash flood, and best utilize its water supply were recommended. 展开更多

Climate change has grown more apparent in recent years with people becoming more aware of its potentially disastrous consequences. Flooding is one of the many consequences of a changing climate in Kenya known to cause immense devastation resulting in the loss of lives and property. This paper discusses the risk of flooding in Kenya as one of the many outcomes of climate change in the face of urgency to adapt Kenya’s built environment to flooding which is likely to continue to prevail in the decades as a result of the looming climate change. It also sought to evaluate the physical, traumatic, and psychological effects on communities affected by flood events. This cross-sectional survey, both qualitative and quantitative in nature, executed between 13th January 2021 and 14th July 2021 with 132 respondents along the western shoreline of Lake Baringo, near Marigat Town focused on the flood levels, structures, their materials, and quantities. Results show that the area covered by Lake Baringo increased by 18% from 236 km2 to 278 km2. The depth of floods ranged from 0.3 m to 1.2 m and exceeded 1.6 m during heavy rainfall up to 3.2 m with homes completely submerged by the lake. Flooding was experienced more by residents living in low areas nearer to the shoreline of the lake as compared to those living on higher grounds. 100% of the structures didn’t have the architectural technology to withstand the impacts of flooding with 59% of housing made of corrugated iron sheets both on wall and roofing, 22% of mud houses roofed with either corrugated iron sheets, 10% being timber with thatch and only 8% stoned walled houses. This predisposed all the residents to the harmful impacts of flooding. Piled sandbags by locals as a mitigating measure proved inadequate to withstand the forces of the rising waters. Flood walls were built around local lodges near the lake but the rising water level quickly breached these defences. The study recommends that county and national governing authorities develop flood adaptation strategies for resilience. These include long-term land-use planning, the establishment of early warning systems, evacuation plans, identification of vulnerable or high-risk populations, measures to ensure water quality, sanitation, and hygiene. Flood-resilient architecture including stilt and floating houses that mechanically rise and fall with respect to the highest water mark are recommended during flood events. Bridges on swollen rivers and resilient construction materials like reinforced concrete are to be used for sustainable development for flood risk adaptation. 展开更多

The exponential advancement in telecommunication embeds the Internet in every aspect of communication.Interconnections of networks all over the world impose monumental risks on the Internet.A Flooding Attack(FA)is one of the major intimidating risks on the Internet where legitimate users are prevented from accessing network services.Irrespective of the protective measures incorporated in the communication infrastructure,FA still persists due to the lack of global cooperation. Most of the existing mitigation is set up either at the traffic starting point or at the traffic ending point.Providing mitigation at one or the other end may not be a complete solution. To insist on better protection againstflooding attacks, this work proposes a cooperative multilevel defense mechanism. The proposed cooperative multilevel defense mechanism consists of two-level of mitigation. In thefirst level,it is proposed to design a Threshold-based rate-limiting with a Spoofing Resistant Tag(TSRT),as a source end countermeasure for High-Rate Flooding Attacks(HRFA)and spoofing attacks. In the second level, the accent is to discriminate normal traffic after Distributed Denial of Service(DDoS)traffic and drop the DDoS traffic at the destination end.Flow Congruence-based Selective Pushback(FCSP),as a destination-initiated countermeasure for the Low Rate Flooding Attack(LRFA).The source and the destination cooperate to identify and block the attack.A key advantage of this cooperative mechanism is that it can distinguish and channel down the attack traffic nearer to the starting point of the attack. The presentation of the agreeable cooperative multilevel safeguard mechanism is approved through broad recreation in NS-2.The investigation and the exploratory outcomes show that the proposed plan can effectively identify and shield from the attack. 展开更多

At present, the polymer solution is usually assumed to be Newtonian fluid or pseudoplastic fluid, and its elasticity is not considered on the study of polymer flooding well testing model. Based on the percolation theory, this paper describes the polymer flooding mechanism from the two aspects of viscous effect and elastic effect, the mathematical model of oil water two-phase three components unsteady flow in viscoelastic polymer flooding was established, and solved by finite difference method, and the well-test curve was drawn to analyze the rule of well test curve in polymer flooding. The results show that, the degree of upward warping in the radial flow section of the pressure recovery curve when considering polymer elasticity is greater than the curve which not considering polymer elasticity. The relaxation time, power-law index, polymer injection concentration mainly affect the radial flow stage of the well testing curve. The relaxation time, power-law index, polymer injection concentration and other polymer flooding parameters mainly affect the radial flow stage of the well testing curve. The larger the polymer flooding parameters, the greater the degree of upwarping of the radial flow derivative curve. This model has important reference significance for well-testing research in polymer flooding oilfields. 展开更多

The field test of high concentration polymer flooding has the characteristics of high cost, long cycle and irreversibility of the reservoir development process. In order to ensure the best development effect of the development block, this paper simulated and calculated the high concentration polymer flooding development case of the polymer flooding pilot test area through numerical simulation research, and selected the best case through the comparison of various development indicators. The simulation results showed that the larger the polymer dosage and the higher the concentration, the better the oil displacement effect. The best injection method in the construction process was the overall injection of high concentration polymer. The test area should implement high concentration polymer oil displacement as soon as possible. The research results provided theoretical guidance for the future development and management of the pilot area. 展开更多

The pilot test of infilling polymer-surfactant-preformed particle gel(PPG)flooding has been successfully implemented after polymer flooding in Ng3 block of Gudao Oilfield in China. However, the production characteristics and displacement mechanisms are still unclear, which restricts its further popularization and application.Aiming at this problem, this paper firstly analyzes the production performance of the pilot test and proposed four response types according to the change of water cut curves, including W-type,U-type,V-type response, and no response.Furthermore, the underlying reasons of these four types are analyzed from the aspects of seepage resistance and sweep efficiency. The overall sweep efficiency of gradual-rising W-type,gradual-decreasing W-type,and early V-type response increases from 0.81 to 0.93,0.55 to 0.89,and 0.94 to 1,respectively.And the sum of seepage resistance along the connection line between production well and injection well for U-type and delayed V-type response increases from 0.0994 to 0.2425,and 0.0677 to 0.1654,respectively.Then,the remaining oil distribution after polymer flooding is summarized into four types on the basis of production and geological characteristics, namely disconnected remaining oil, streamline unswept remaining oil, rhythm remaining oil,and interlayer-controlled remaining oil.Furthermore, the main displacement mechanisms for each type are clarified based on the dimensionless seepage resistance and water absorption profile.Generally, improving connectivity by well pattern infilling is the most important for producing disconnected remaining oil.The synergistic effect of well pattern infilling and polymer-surfactant-PPG flooding increases the dimensionless seepage resistance of water channeling regions and forces the subsequent injected water to turn to regions with streamline unswept remaining oil.The improvement of the water absorption profile by polymer-surfactant-PPG flooding and separated layer water injection contributes to displacing rhythm remaining oil and interlayer-controlled remaining oil. Finally, the paper analyzes the relationships between the remaining oil distribution after polymer flooding and production characteristics of infilling polymer-surfactant-PPG flooding. The study helps to deepen the understanding of infilling polymer-surfactant-PPG flooding and has reference significance for more commercial implementations in the future. 展开更多

The development of fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoirs is extremely difficult because of the complex fractured-vuggy structure and strong heterogeneity.Foam flooding is a potential enhanced oil recovery(EOR)technology in fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoirs.Based on the similarity criterion, three types of 2D visual physical models of the fractured-vuggy structure were made by laser ablation technique, and a 3D visual physical model of the fractured-vuggy reservoir was made by 3D printing technology. Then the physical analog experiments of foam flooding were carried out in these models. The experimental results show that foam can effectively improve the mobility ratio, control the flow velocity of the fluid in different directions, and sweep complex fracture networks. The effect of foam flooding in fractures can be improved by increasing foam strength and enhancing foam stability. The effect of foam flooding in vugs can be improved by reducing the density of the foam and the interfacial tension between foam and oil.Three types of microscopic residual oil and three types of macroscopic residual oil can be displaced by foam flooding. This study verifies the EOR of foam flooding in the fractured-vuggy reservoir and provides theoretical support for the application of foam flooding in fractured-vuggy reservoirs. 展开更多
