Analysis of the Current Status and Influencing Factors of Family Members’Collateral Stigma in Schizophrenia Patients

Objective: To investigate the associated collateral stigma of the family members of schizophrenia patients and analyze its current status and influencing factors. Methods: The Link Depreciation-Discrimination Perception Scale was used to investigate the status quo of the associated stigma of the family members of 169 schizophrenia patients diagnosed in 4 hospitals in a certain province. The results of the investigation were analyzed and summarized. Results: The detection rate of stigma associated with the family members of schizophrenia patients was 72.78%, with a score of 28.41 ± 3.92 points. The main influencing factors were the family member’s education level, the patient’s illness duration, the family member’s occupation, and the family-patient relationship. Conclusion: The detection rate of stigma associated with schizophrenia was relatively high. This requires increased attention and appropriate nursing intervention.

A Survey of Social Nutrition Status of the Elderly in theUrban Area of Chengdu, Sichuan Province

The social nutrition status was investigated among 246 subjects aged 60-90 living at three urban communities in Chengdu of Sichuan Province. The questionnaire was designed to evaluate socirydeweraphic background, the subjects' nutrition knowledge, and the support systerns for geriatric nutrition. Fasting venous blcod was colected for the analysis of biochemical parameters. Blood pressure, bene mineral contents (BMC), body weight (BW) and they height (BH) were measured at the same time. Only 49. 7% of the subjects correctly an swered four basic questions on nutrition. Food patterns for the elder1y were simple and modest. Several nutrition-related disorders for the elderly were including high systolic bbo pressure (44. 6 % ), hyPertriglyceridemia (25. 9 % ), high diasto1ic blood pressure (25. 1% ),obesity (24. 5% ), high PBG (20. 6% ), emaciation (19. 9%), high FBG (17.9%) and osteoporosis (16. 8%). These data indicate that the support systems for the geriatric nutrition will have to be improved.

Status of China's Geological Survey and Geological Environments in 2013

With the approach of the 45th World Earth Day,China＇s Ministry of Land and Resources issued the status of the Chinese geological survey and environments on 22nd April 2013.Regional geological survey in 2013 achieved new results-（why was oceanic in twice？） polar and oceanic expedition were fully completed,a national census of geography was begun,and the security capacity of mapping geographic information was enhanced.A new idea for integrated geological survey and scientific research was proposed to enhance marine geological surveys and to improve service capabilities.

The Status Quo of Chinese International Business Practitioners’Intercultural Business Communication and PedagogicImplications

We propose an intercultural business communication(IBC)model and design a questionnaire basing on the model to gain detailed knowledge on the status quo of 239 Chinese international business practitioners’IBC activities.The factual questions include the main working languages,the communication media applied,their high-frequency communication situations,communication scenarios important to organizations and employees’career life,the most challenging communication situations,and sensitive communication topics.Pedagogic implications are discussed basing on the survey findings.

Investigation and Analysis of Catheter-Associated Skin Impairment in PICC’s Patients in Jingzhou City

Objective: To understand the status quo of PICC Catheter-associated Skin Impairment (CASI) in some hospitals at all levels in Jingzhou city, and to explore the risk factors for PICC Catheter-associated Skin Impairment. Methods: From June 2019 to July 2020, a self-made questionnaire for CASI status was used to facilitate the extraction of CASI patients in PICC in some hospitals at all levels in Jingzhou city. Local skin lesions were collected and classified during PICC maintenance, and the damage types, occurrence frequency and related influencing factors of CASI were counted to identify independent risk factors. Results: In this study, there were 173 cases of CASI in PICC’s patients including local infection 56.1% (97/173), exudation at the puncture site 16.8% (29/173), irritant dermatitis 21.4% (37/173), allergic dermatitis 4.6% (8/173), and tension injury 1.2% (2/173). After univariate analysis, there were statistically significant differences between CASI occurrence type and duration of catheter wear, age, underlying disease, skin moisture and hyperhidrosis, PICC maintenance as required, hospital grade maintenance and intermittent chemotherapy (P < 0.05). Then, disordered multiple Logistic regression analysis was performed, and exudation at the puncture site was used as the reference group. The results showed that patients with PICC were more likely to have CASI if they were aged, long catheter time, had diabetes, had moist and sweaty skin, and were in the intermittent stage of chemotherapy. Conclusion: The incidence of CASI is high in patients aged 70 - 79 years, and local infection is the most common. PICC’s patients with diabetes are at high risk of CASI. PICC’s patients with excessive sweating are more likely to have CASI. The intermittent stage of chemotherapy is the excessive CASI;time with tube affects CASI occurrence.
